Was for the first time in the sanatorium "Sail", at the end of May 2011. "Sail" has both advantages and disadvantages.
What I liked: I was immediately pleased that all the staff were very responsive, attentive. From the time of my appearance at the reception desk with things until the moment when I opened the provided room, only half an hour passed, and at the registration I was not alone, but five more people. In the dining room, the waitresses work very quickly, remember the wishes of the vacationers, they never failed when it was necessary to dine half an hour earlier because of the excursion. Excursions that can be booked directly at the resort, very much. Not a bad beach, clear sea, modern elevator. The views are really breathtaking - Swallow's Nest, Sail rock. The view from the Captain's Bridge is mesmerizing, especially in the evening. There is a bench there and on quiet evenings you can admire the lights of Yalta and the illuminated Swallow's Nest. The park is cozy, the paths are cleaned. True, the benches have not been updated for a long time. There are many small cozy viewing platforms in the park of the sanatorium, where you can sit for a long time, enjoy the view and no one stops you. The purest air with the smell of juniper and coniferous trees is wonderful.
What I didn't like: the tunnel in the mountain leading to the sea is very cold (not surprising), but it smells strongly of mold. The food in the dining room leaves much to be desired. But in general, it's normal. I liked the pastries (buns, wonderful donuts). The food is fresh, it is possible to order a dish of your choice to the general sanatorium menu. There was no buffet menu in May. I didn’t want to buy anything extra at all, except perhaps strawberries or fruits. But in terms of the quality of the dishes, there is a complete feeling that you are in the dining room. Few fresh vegetables were served for main courses, sometimes there was no salad at all for lunch, except for a piece of pickled cucumber. I did not like smoked sausage and bacon at all, which were for breakfast a couple of times. A pack of dogs run around the resort. Nobody seems to be touched, but it is not pleasant to meet them on the paths, especially in the evening. By the end of my stay, for some reason, they stopped turning on the lighting of the entire park. Only a couple of main paths were illuminated. Didn't notice any places of entertainment for children, except for two swings on the beach. By the way, there is a cafe near the pool at the base of the second building and in the evenings there is loud music until almost midnight. I think the music is heard by all the rooms whose windows overlook the Swallow's Nest and the Elena cafe (it is located outside the territory of the Parus near the road and also makes noise from time to time).

A single room in the 1st building with a view to the north is not bad, although very small. Cleaning every day, there is a sign "do not disturb". TV, refrigerator (silent), air conditioning (for a fee), comfortable bed, new linens. I was pleased with the bathroom: everything is in place, nothing staggers, though there were ants. Trouble with sockets. They are not observed at all in the bathroom, in principle there are few of them in the room and everything is in the area of the balcony door. In the first building, rooms with a view to the north face the road. Moreover, the distance from the building to the track is no more than 20-25 meters. The movement of cars is very audible (minibuses also go there all day), but fortunately, beautiful sprawling coniferous trees block the road, and this softens the noise of cars, especially during the day.
In general, "Parus" is one of the average in terms of the quality of stay of old sanatoriums in the Crimea.
