I want to warn those parents who think that Artek is the same as it was 20-25 years ago (during my youth) that this is NOT SO! I will not describe in detail everyday problems, food, the inability to take a shower, call my parents at any time, and similar "minor" shortcomings. You can really come to terms with this and not pay attention if other advantages outweigh. But the incident, which my daughter told me with tears, made me reconsider this position. Unfortunately, my wife does not want to "make a fuss", so I am writing without surnames.
As a result, we have the following situation. My daughter is 13 years old. Calm, adequate child. When checking into the room, in addition to 3 of the same, they settled 4 more girls from some kind of "song and dance choir". The problems started from the first day. the choristers had known each other for a long time and ignored the others. In addition to communication, this created problems in everyday life.
And, in fact, the case itself. 09/15/2013. Absolute time. Quiet time in the old way. Three choristers do not sleep and actively communicate. The counselor enters the room and makes a remark. The choristers are ignored. The counselor loses his temper and lifts ALL EIGHT girls out of bed and makes them do 50 (fifty) squats. And raises someone as lying in bed. Who is in a nightgown, and who is just in panties. Then it seems to him that they are not punished enough and the figure increases to 80 (eighty). How it was necessary to yell (or not only yell) at the girls so that they would still do 80 squats, I'm even afraid to guess. Mine didn't want to tell.

And now the questions:
1. Why was such a division made during the settlement? Why was it impossible to either settle the choristers all together or settle them one by one?
2. Where do the director, personnel department and camp psychologists look when recruiting such counselors? And who should be responsible for such recruitment?
3. Why is some kid allowed to use army orders? Is Artek a paramilitary camp?
4. Why was the only reaction of the psychologist and the director of the camp the phrases - "we will talk with him that it is impossible to do this"?
P. S. as for me, in such cases, the concepts of "incomplete official compliance", "abuse of authority" and "sexual harassment" apply, but, unfortunately, not in this country.
