While the memories are still fresh, I decided to write a review about the rest at the Magic Captivity Hotel in Katsiveli. I must make a reservation right away that everything stated below is my own opinion, and as they say - how many people, so many opinions. And in order to make up your own, you need to go yourself and evaluate everything, feel the situation, so to speak, on your own skin. My husband and I already have something to compare with, since this is far from the first time in Crimea. My impression is that the hotel is average, the room (we lived in a double room) is small, it could be cleaner, all surfaces were slightly dusty during check-in, subsequently the dust was not wiped off by the staff. As for the situation - there are photos of the rooms on the Internet, if you wish, you can view them. For me, the color scheme of the interior was strange: the walls are green, the curtains are pink, the chairs are blue and white, and it’s somehow uncomfortable, the photos don’t convey this... But it’s not at all difficult to hang a picture on the wall, pick up nice sconces so that the light is soft and muted, to think over the color scheme of the room... It would be a desire. The refrigerator is small, but it was enough for us, there is a TV, but it’s not there, because (as the hostess told us) after some hurricane something broke somewhere and still hasn’t been fixed, well, you’re not a telly on the sea you're going to watch, right? Although in neighboring hotels you could hear that the TVs were working... The bathroom more or less found soap and shampoo in wrappers with the hotel logo, there is a boiler, so there is always hot water, but only in the shower, only cold water in the tap at the washbasin, although connecting a hot one there is not a problem at all... It would be the desire of the hotel owners. The shower is small, the curtain is dirty and sticky, you can’t really curtain it, the water was all the time on the floor, no matter how carefully you try to wash yourself. Yes, after checking in, we found that the towels in the room were only for hands, and the towels were some kind of grayish, the stripes tried to hide this dullness) I had to go and ask for bath towels. The bed linen turned out to be also gray (maybe this is such a color scheme? ) With blue and a hole... The bed was not changed for 2 weeks.
The view from the balcony is so-so, right - a couple of new modern hotels, on the side - the roofs of the hotels in front and the sea behind them. You can’t see the Cat Mountains, we had the 4th floor and the windows overlooked her side. To summarize, in principle, you can live, especially since we were few in the room, we came to the sea))
We ate outside the hotel, although when we were driving, we expected to eat at the hotel. But they didn’t want to, because the first and last time we ate there, we got a bunch of negative emotions. Firstly, a creepy place to eat - like a covered tent with the stink of cat marks and sticky tables, like in pubs, brrr. Secondly, the portion sizes, the food is lost on a large plate. . . Thirdly, the menu is quite large, which suggests that food is prepared from semi-finished products or, if necessary, simply warmed up. Fourth, out of the corner of my eye I saw what was going on in the kitchen, what kind of rags were there and in general “cleanliness”. And fifthly, the prices for all this beauty. A complete discrepancy... During the entire stay, the hostess never asked at the meeting how things were going, whether everything was fine. But because there is no desire to make people feel comfortable and pleasant, unfortunately... And this hits the eye and can be seen in many ways. We will definitely not come to the hotel again, but we will most likely return to Katsiveli, a wonderful place, a lot of greenery, "delicious" clean air, good beaches near the health resort of the House of Scientists' Creativity, clean water. Now, if people still appreciated all this and didn’t pollute... In general, “Magic Captivity” - no, Katsiveli - yes !! !
