We rested in Katsiveli with a child this summer. I decided to describe our trip, because I didn’t find much information about the village on the Internet before leaving.

Firstly, it’s a convenient location, Yalta and Sevastopol are about the same distance, if you have your own car, all the sights of the South Coast are within walking distance (for Moscow), if you don’t have one, then you can see everything yourself or with the help of travel agencies (two are noticed - Breeze and An-tour, traveled from both - no complaints).

Secondly, the small number of vacationers, the beaches are really quite free.

Cons: one exchange office (the rate is too high), no pharmacy and ATM. Shops and cafes in the minimum version.

And plus and minus: as everywhere on the South Coast there are steep slopes, if you want to lose weight, settle higher, no - closer to the sea. Crimean service, although prices tend to European ones (but still - so far they are striving)

The nearest large settlement of Semiiza is an hour on foot or 10 minutes by minibus 36 (it is the only one here and goes to Yalta). Nearby is a large water park with sea water (entry ticket for the day is about 1200 rubles per person).

There are many offers for renting housing, even if you have not reserved something for yourself in advance, you will find it upon arrival. We lived in the Ecohouse on Shuleykina (found on the site by sea). I want to talk about housing separately. What we reserved and received upon arrival for the price indicated in the ad (during the rental, the price did not increase, although many locals do not hesitate to do this), delicious food at affordable prices (home-style), for which special thanks to Tatyana. There are some wishes: I would like more frequent cleaning in the room, change of bed linen and other hotel amenities (which are already used to while relaxing abroad).

The water in the sea is really clean, but there are days when there are a lot of small jellyfish (feeling like swimming in cold weather), especially in the morning, a couple of times after storms the water was dirty (mostly algae). The beaches are pebbly, more often used distant ones.

Summary: a pleasant holiday in general and educational for a child of school age at reasonable prices.
