My wife and I decided to have a rest in the Crimea this year, revive in memory and compare the impressions of the rest in the dear heart of the peninsula "in those days, secluded, now almost epic. " An additional reason was the organization this year of direct flights from Ufa to Simferopol at very affordable prices. On the Internet, we chose a small village and a mini-hotel for a long time, because they were looking for peace and tranquility. As a result, the settlement of Morskoe near Sudak and Novy Svet was chosen and, based on positive reviews from various sites, the private boarding house "Yanaki" because of the impressive photographs of a beautifully landscaped and cozy, albeit small, territory and detached cottages with 2 adjacent rooms and an open large common veranda.
We phoned and contacted the owners, clarified the prices for accommodation and, what was important for us, separately for food (that is, you can eat at least once a day, at least not at all), agreed to book a one-room suite in a two-room cottage with a shower , hot water around the clock and air conditioning. They did not ask us to transfer the prepayment and said that we can pay on the spot. As a bonus, it was offered to deliver us to the owner's car from Simferopol airport to the place for 250 UAH (1000 rubles) instead of, as we were told, the usual fee - 700 UAH. Now we understand what caused such goodwill.
We arrived early in the morning, arrived at the place as promised, and (attention - do not repeat the mistakes !!! ) we decided to immediately pay for the entire period of stay and travel. The hosts graciously agreed to take a fee in rubles with the conversion at the hryvnia exchange rate, allegedly accepted at the moment for the entire village. It was a big mistake on our part, because very soon it turned out that the price for the room was 1.5 times too high and the neighbors in the cottage rented a 2-room apartment for a much lower price. Later, after walking around the neighboring hotels and private apartments, we found out that it was possible to rent a first-class room without neighbors, quiet, with all amenities, closer to the sea for 250-300 UAH per day, instead of our 400. proposals over demand this year and everywhere in the village are full of announcements - "rooms, rooms for rent", etc.

With the ruble exchange rate, we also significantly flew in Simferopol, Sudak (16 km) and even through a bank in Morskoy, rubles could be exchanged for hryvnia much more profitably, so they took us from Simferopol to heat us up on the course.
About the room. Cramped, approximately 10-12 m2, minimally furnished, so that half of the things were left in the bags, the air conditioner works, but it is very poorly regulated so that it is not too drafty and cold, and judging by the constant tickling in the throat when the air conditioner is running, the conclusion suggests itself that filters have not been washed or changed since the installation itself in 2005. Hot and cold water around the clock, there were no interruptions. The shower faucet is broken and does not switch to the "tap water" mode, so I had to wash my face waist-deep in the morning from the shower. The most unpleasant thing is that in the morning, sleepy hours, after draining the toilet, the water supply system growled, vibrated and howled for 20-30 minutes due to the appearance of air congestion, which of course did not allow sleep. Also, the partitions between the rooms and the veranda (general) are very sound-permeable, and tk. large families of rotating neighbors with several children for some reason preferred to have lunch and dinner and spend the evening on the veranda, then there was nothing to think about the afternoon and early evening sleep because of the squeals and cries of children and the word-for-word conversations of adults.
Nutrition is a different story. You can choose to eat every day, i. e. you can eat once a day and 3 times or not eat at all. This is a definite plus, and besides, prices are 35 UAH for each approach to the table, whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner. But the set of dishes and the size of the portions (literally 1 tablespoon of salad, 2 tablespoons of mashed potatoes, a cutlet with the same tablespoon) involuntarily evoke thoughts of the Leningrad blockade. We tried for three days and could not bear this torture, when, after eating, you have to catch up with sandwiches, etc. In the village canteens, cafes and home kitchens, you can get enough for the same money a day quite decently and the quality is also good.
And the final touch. A week before departure, we agreed with the owners that we would be taken to the airport for 400 UAH. We calmed down and did not consider any other options, and after lunch on the day of departure, when the bus tickets were sold and there was no time left to search for a car, the owner declares that he will take us only for 500 UAH and not a penny less. These are such friendly, honest and responsible hosts.

So fellow vacationers do not step on our rake.
