The hotel is good, but is it worth going to Yalta and the surrounding area?

For the first time we visited the Yalta region. We planned to choose a hotel within a 10-15-minute walk to the beach, but after reading on the Internet that due to the terrain in Yalta there are few such hotels and they are quite expensive, they became eager to settle in the Nikitsky Botanical Garden, having learned about the Postgraduate House hotel.
They called a month before arrival, we were told that all the rooms were booked (out of chagrin, the thought came that "it was necessary to book earlier, because of the location of the hotel it is popular"). A week later, we decided to call again (with the thought "what if you're lucky") - they answered that most likely it would be possible to book a room "Comfort A". The next day they called again - they answered that "Comfort A" was booked for us.
There were three of us, 29.27 and 16 years old. The room was located on the second floor, but without a balcony, although the neighboring room "Comfort A" also had a balcony, overlooking the sea (the sea is not close, so those who want to save money on the view of the nearby sea are most likely to use the "Comfort B" room). I was pleased with the room: large, clean, everything is quite new, LCD TV, refrigerator, air conditioning. Hot water was supplied constantly. Eating at the restaurant at the hotel is very expensive, if not expensive. And it looks like nowhere else (we had lunch and dinner not in the village of Nikita, but in Yalta, in one of the two nearby canteens near the stop "Center", one of the canteens seems to be called "Crimea").

Oops!! ! We chose this particular hotel because of its location in the Nikitsky Botanical Garden (at least, on the hotel website it was written today on 09/03/2011: "The Postgraduate House Hotel is located in an amazing place in Crimea, in the Nikitsky Botanical Garden (Lower Colonnade) ") - but it turned out not to be so! The hotel is located 50 meters south of the Lower Colonnade of the Nikitsky Botanical Garden, and NOT ON THE TERRITORY of the Nikitsky Botanical Garden! Those. to visit (not to mention walks) the Nikitsky Botanical Garden guests of the hotel "Aspirant's House" can only like anyone who wishes during the opening hours of the Nikitsky Botanical Garden for a fee.
The hotel is located right on the road from the Lower Colonnade of the Nikitsky Botanical Garden to the beach, so the noise of cars can be heard in the rooms from the side of the road. From the hotel to the beach on foot for about 10-15 minutes, and a significant part of the path will have to go along a road not intended for pedestrians, it is especially unpleasant, if not dangerous, to go along the road in the evening: the road is winding, and it is not easy for cars turning around a turn to spot a pedestrian (relevant, at least at the time of stay).
The settlements of Nikita and Yalta did not arouse enthusiasm in us, and you can see the Nikitsky Botanical Garden by coming from other resorts of Crimea, with a tour or on your own.
