We want to share about our vacation in the Crimea, pos. Nikolayevka. Let's make a reservation right away that we are not spoiled for rest in Turkey. Before the trip, we collected information on the Internet for a long time, selected a place suitable for a family vacation with a child (4.5 years old). We read reviews about different places of rest in the Crimea, in the end we decided to go to Nikolaevka. Nikolaevka is a village in the steppe part of the Crimea, consisting mainly of private sector houses and many camp sites, holiday homes, hotels designed for every taste and budget. Among the advantages, we note reasonable prices, a large selection of hotels, a beach with a relatively gentle shore (at least belonging to the "Skif" cooperative), the absence of stuffiness and excessive humidity. Of the minuses, the almost complete absence of vegetation (although there is a fairly decent park on the territory of the Izumrud sanatorium, but it’s decent to go there from the Skif), quite a lot of garbage (the merit of vacationers), a narrow strip of beach. The beach is small, sand and pebble, well-groomed, garbage is removed daily, by 9 am almost completely filled up.
Based on the reviews, we decided to stay at the Enigma Hotel, having previously written off via the Internet and booked a room. Note that the request was answered immediately, they learned about prices, accommodation rules, lunches, etc. The prices announced to us beforehand turned out to be valid, they did not change upon arrival, we confirm that all the photos posted on their website are true. The food is homemade, the portions are decent, for a child you can order a children's lunch, I liked the homemade wine)). The rooms are clean, cleaned daily, money and valuables were left in the rooms, nothing was missing, the attitude of the owners, Svetlana and Igor, is attentive and friendly). We dined almost always at Enigma, we were in different places, but we definitely liked the food at the hotel more. Near the "Enigma" there is a large hotel "Apelsin", in the evenings there is live music there, at first I like it, then it starts to annoy (by 11 pm it turns off), once in the evening we went there to have dinner and dance - I didn’t like the food, the barbecue was boiled and hard, cognac seems to be singed (((bought the same in the store, the difference was felt). The sea is clean, it depends on the weather, it often stormed on our vacation, but swimming is interesting, although you need to be very careful)). We went on excursions several times, traveled almost all of Crimea by car with a guide. Were in Yalta, Sevastopol, in the Red Cave, Foros, Chersonese, Vorontsov Palace and somewhere else)). We recommend visiting Sevastopol, the city is saturated with extraordinary spiritual power and is very beautiful, very beautiful in the park of the Vorontsov Palace, but because of the very high humidity, it is hard to stay there for a long time, as in other things and in Yalta (IMHO of course). The trips were organized by the guide Yuriy, it’s time for him to write his book about Crimea and its history), we highly recommend him, Svetlana has his phone in Enigma (not advertising : -)).
The attitude towards Russians is normal, they did not experience the negative that they read about in some reviews)).

Some useful tips: it is better to change rubles for hryvnias in Simferopol, in Nikolaevka the exchange rate is lower, buy bottled water in Crimea is bad, do not rush to take a taxi, buses and minibuses run between Nikolaevka and Simferopol, taxis cost 150 hryvnia. a bus for three is about 30 hryvnia, be careful with wine sold on tap, we don’t recommend it, it’s better to buy Crimean wines in a store, if you don’t like the hotel, feel free to look for another set of them, there are places almost everywhere, there are several markets in Nikolavka, dragging all the sense with you there is no easier to buy on the spot, there is a pharmacy and a first-aid post near the bus station, do not forget who is traveling with a child - a birth certificate with a mark of citizenship.
Summing up, let's say that we liked the rest in Nikolaevka, if possible, we will go again, for money for three (12 days without a road) including tickets, excursions, taverns (daily)), accommodation (very decent), food, souvenirs, gifts, etc. . p came out about 65 thousand rubles.
Special thanks to the owners of the Enigma Hotel - Svetlana and Igor, respect to Igor for giving us a lift when we left to the bus station, it was difficult to get on our own with bags with stocks of gift cognac)) if we are in Nikolaevka we will stop at Enigma.
