Who does the author recommend the hotel to?: For a relaxing holiday; For families with children
In early September, we returned from Nikolaevka, rested with my wife and daughter in a private boarding house "Summer". I’ll make a reservation right away: before that, we rested a couple of times on the South Coast with very variable success. And since this year's vacation was not planned in advance, I had to, as they say, in a hurry to look for a place with decent living conditions and at a normal price. I accidentally went to the website of the boarding house http://nikolaevka-leto. com. ua/main. php? page=1 and found one free room (someone canceled the reservation at the last moment). All this happened just a week before departure. In general, all this I mean is that we were not going to go to some village of Nikolaevka, because the soul demanded beautiful landscapes of the Crimean mountains, palm trees, a view of Ai-Petri and other exotic things. We were ready to pay no more than 7.000 UAH for a 10-day vacation, but after calling five or six travel agencies, I found out that it was either not realistic to squeeze into such an amount for a quality vacation, or there were no places in a suitable time period.
We decided to act on the principle of "tits in the hand" and subsequently never regretted it!

We lived on the third floor in a two-room suite with a sea view (N8). The boarding house building itself is located literally 20 ...30 meters from the sea in the second line (and this is honestly reported on the boarding house website), but due to the natural slope of the coastal territory, the two-story building in front closes only the view of its own beach. Even from the windows of the second floor, overlooking the sea, its strip is visible, not to mention the third. You look out the window and here it is the sea - from edge to edge!

I confirm that all information about the boarding house presented on the site is fully true. The building of the boarding house, apparently, is new (2 ...3 years). The decoration of the walls, the slopes on the windows, the floor itself - everything is done neatly. The windows are plastic.
There are no mosquitoes in principle (probably due to the lack of vegetation nearby), and all mosquito nets, as unnecessary, are neatly folded in the lobby so as not to interfere with enjoying the seascape. The windows have blinds and curtains. The ceiling is plastic, but we did not feel the smell of plastic. The furniture is absolutely new (in each room on the wall), a small refrigerator 80 centimeters high, a flat-screen TV. In our room there was a kinescope "Sony" about 17 inches, and in the neighboring one-room double room - a liquid crystal "Samsung" at 19". Ours received channels 9-10 on the indoor antenna, however, only 3 or 4 gave a high-quality picture. But for those who like to watch TV on the first floor in the hall there is a large TV set with a satellite dish. ) The floor is lined with nice glazed tiles, there is a picture on the wall in every room.

From the furniture there is also a dining table, two upholstered stools, a double sofa bed, two single beds pushed together. In the hallway there is a hanger with three hooks, at the top there is a capacious shelf, on which two suitcases are placed. All furniture is brand new. Inside each wall there are 2-3 more trempels for clothes. New cute bed linen with Japanese style pattern. One bedspread and three warm blankets in case of cool nights, as well as terry towels. There is a glass decanter with glasses on the table (you can’t drink water from the tap, the owners warn about this upon check-in; clean filtered water is always available on the first floor in the cafe). There are two mirrors in a two-room suite: one is in the wall itself, the second is in the bathroom (plastic with a shelf). The two-room suite has two free sockets (one per room), the rest are occupied by a TV and a refrigerator.
If you take with you several chargers for mobile phones, for a camera, etc. , I advise you to take a tee from home. If you forget, it doesn't matter: you can buy it here on the market or ask the owners.

We were guests in three two-room suites (it should be noted that the calm family atmosphere of the boarding house is conducive to friendly relations and communication), and all rooms are furnished in a similar way. The one-room suite next to us is furnished in a similar way: two single beds, a bedside table, a table, a hanger, a TV set, a refrigerator. On any floor, each room has its own bathroom, which has a shower with a curtain, a washbasin, a toilet bowl and a personal boiler of 30 liters. The walls and floor in the bathroom are tiled, the ceiling is plastic. All doors inside the room are painted, made of fiberboard. Entrance doors in some rooms are plastic, in some - from fiberboard.
There is a clothes dryer and an electric kettle on each floor (there is also an electric kettle in the cafe on the ground floor). You can ask the hostess for an iron. All this is free. You can ask to wash clothes, this service costs 10 hryvnias (or about 50 Russian rubles).

The cafe is very cozy, designed for 20 people. Three meals a day, in two shifts. The first shift has breakfast at 9:00, lunch at 13:00, dinner at 18:00. The second half an hour later. If you go on an excursion, you will be fed earlier or later. Upon check-in, residents are given one key with a key fob. I advise you to use a pin so as not to lose it in the stones. The second key is used by the maid during the daily cleaning of the room. Valuables, phones, laptop, money - everything can be safely left in the room. On the beach you can leave bedspreads, rugs, air mattresses.

The cooperative beach is fenced, there are no strangers on it, except that occasionally one of the locals will pass along the coastline, offering some food. We left the beach mat on the shore even for the night. The beach is clean, daily personally cleaned by the hostess. The beach is pebbly, there are large stones on the shore (specially, by the way, brought in so that the sea does not wash away the shore during a storm), but the passages into the sea are cleared. For small children, of course, it is not the most convenient approach to the water, but the bottom is flat: up to a two-meter depth, it is necessary to move 15-20 meters from the shore. There are pebbles at the bottom, occasionally there are stones overgrown with algae. Older children will be interested in diving with a mask. There is a solarium, where it is cool to breathe in the sea air in the evening. The owners have a brazier, you can fry a shish kebab. There is a place for car parking next to the boarding house building. At the entrance to the building of the boarding house there is a small cozy courtyard, lovingly furnished with flowers.
This somehow compensates for the lack of green spaces on the territory of the boarding house. There is a synthesizer in the hall on the first floor. Elena (the hostess) sings well and plays the piano. Often they caught a picture when, having gathered together, the kids practiced vocals with her.

The hosts - Elena and Anatoly - are sympathetic and attentive people. To our slightest requests and wishes (such as a light bulb burned out, the blinds began to cling to the sash on the window) there was an instant reaction on their part, moreover imperceptibly and unobtrusively, so that God forbid we should not interfere! The room is cleaned daily (sand remains on the shoes after the beach due to its very close location). Everything is thought out to the smallest detail. The room is cleaned in the morning after breakfast, when the sun is not yet scorching, and you are basking in the sea under its gentle rays. At your request and by prior arrangement with the owners, you will be met at the station near the carriage and taken to the train, carrying your things to the car.
Transfer - 150 UAH. Anatoly himself met and drove us. We were very pleased with our vacation! Next year we will try to get out into the wonderful "Summer" again!

If you are looking for a calm and measured rest without drunken orgies and the corresponding public, rumbling music under the windows until the morning, if you are traveling with children or grandchildren, go to "Summer" - you will not regret it!

In conclusion, a few words about Nikolayevka itself.
To the right of the boarding house along the coast, after 200 meters, a continuous sand and pebble beach strip begins right up to the nearest settlement and further, above which a natural wall rises vertically as high as a three-four-story house. The sand here is coarse-grained gray and there are no stones anymore! True, it is deep: about five meters from the shore, even an adult is already with his head.

The same sand and pebble beach without stones directly in Nikolaevka itself (to the left of the boarding house, about ten to fifteen minutes walk), however, is dirty. All beaches are absolutely free. There are two fairly large markets in the village, not counting the small impromptu ones located along the roads and at crossroads. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the nearest market. The abundance of souvenir shops, draft wine and barbecue vendors is striking. Prices are quite comparable with Kharkov ones (difference on average by 10 ...20%). Here is a selection of prices for the 2008 season (late August - early September): peaches - 13 ...16 UAH, nectarine - 14 ...17 UAH, tomatoes - 2 ...4 UAH, kefir (local "Krymka" 1 liter, fat 1%) - 6 UAH, juice ("Sadochok" 2l) - 11 UAH, mineral water (Mirgorodska 1.5l) - 4 UAH, ice cream in a glass - 2 UAH, a bottle of beer 0.5l - 3...7 UAH ( depending on variety). You can buy almost everything on the market. There are also several grocery stores, two or three pharmacies, exchange offices.
There is a bus station next to the market. Every half hour there are buses to Simferopol (the last one at eight o'clock in the evening), Sevastopol. There are many other directions. There are many cafes in the village, there are disco clubs, a cinema hall, an aquarium. An amusement park has settled down next to the market. For entertainment, it is better to go towards the Energetik boarding house and further along the embankment, which, by the way, is luxuriously equipped. There is a huge park in Energetika, I advise you to definitely go: you will get a lot of positive emotions! Don't forget to take your camera with you. They are officially allowed to enter the Energetik territory from the main entrance after 18-00, but it is easy to get there at any time from the side of the embankment (by the way, it is much closer).
To do this, go along Morskaya Street towards the new market; having caught up with the market, turn to the sea, then, through the city beach, behind the boat station there will be a reinforced concrete pier (it is impossible not to notice it), freely pass under it in full growth and you are on the territory of the Energetik boarding house. To the left of the beach - a solid huge park. Behind the park, if you walk along the sea, - the boarding house "Radiant". Its wonderful, bright and noisy embankment beckons with the brilliance of illumination, neat landscape fountains and cleanliness, especially in the evening. Of course, not Sochi and not even Yalta, but for a small seaside village - wonderful!
