I decided to spend the rest of the summer with my wife + coincided with a working trip in those parts. . . In general, I chose Novy Svet because there is sooooo beautiful area and, judging by the reviews, there are much fewer people than on the South Coast. And most importantly, to my surprise, being a frequenter of the Crimea, I did not know that there is still such a beautiful corner in the Crimea where I had not yet been. In general, I started looking for housing, and to my disappointment it turned out that it was not at all easy to find something decent in a week there. The village is small and there is not such a large offer of housing as in Sudak (20 km) But on the other hand, almost every house has an excellent view from the window. . . And so - either in the private sector with Spartan conditions or far from the beach, which, according to reviews, is extremely critical, climbing back downhill 400 meters. The cost of decent housing is on average $ 70 per day. And what was free is far from ideal. I wanted close to the beach, and what would be the view from the window, preferably with a balcony, given the fabulous scenery around and naturally not "grandmother's bug". For that kind of money, it would be real, but at least with a reservation for a month. I stopped my eyes at Tikhaya Gavni, which met all my requirements, but the price of a junior suite was 1600 UAH at that time, and then for a couple of days free between arrivals. Not cheap of course. . . I was looking for something similar, but there was no good housing even with lower requirements. I have already begun to consider Sudak, but it is not so beautiful there, and the fact that tourists from there went to the beach in the National Assembly (due to the fact that the water is much better, etc. ) was not very encouraging. And then by chance, out of hopelessness, calling Gavan for the third time within a week, maybe something has changed, they tell me that a window of 5 days has appeared (which suited me very well, given that then another working trip for 2 days), due to the cancellation of the reservation and just at the end of the season, the price of accommodation since August 25 has fallen by half. Naturally, I happily agreed. Considering that it is not much more expensive than in the h. sector. Upon arrival, the hotel did not disappoint and even very pleased. Crazy view from the windows to the mountains and the sea, a balcony with a terrace and 20m to the beach. A free breakfast was supposed to be in a nearby restaurant (for some reason the hotel restaurant did not work), but it quickly got tired of its monotony (sandwiches with sausage, yogurt cheesecakes and pancakes with tea or juice to choose from) We then had breakfast and dinner at another restaurant, the Equator (very decent cuisine and service) Everything in the room was at the appropriate level, although there were minor flaws in comparison with foreign hotels of a similar level and price, but this is typical of our post-Soviet hotel mentality. And it's forgivable given that we don't have much of an alternative. The staff is not as attentive and friendly as expected from the status of the hotel, but in general, for the Crimea, it is very tolerable. In general, for $ 100 of a junior suite, with all the listed advantages, it turned out to be a very luxurious and pleasant stay. Respect to the hotel. For more of these, and perhaps over time, European holidays will become more accessible and even better.
