My review is not only about the base, but also personal impressions about the rest in the village of Olenevka : )
Triple room of their deluxe category with air conditioning, private bathroom with hot water, TV, DVD, refrigerator, three beds and a separate entrance with a track on which there is a set of plastic furniture: a table and three chairs. There is really not enough one more table in the room, because in the heat you don’t really want to sit and eat on the street, and it’s not comfortable to carry furniture here : ), and there is not enough small closet in the bathroom where you can put various items. Towels are not provided.
Meals are not included in the price, you need to order in the evening for the next day and in the evening pay for food for the day. The portions are good, almost all soups are excellent, the rest is not for everyone, but there was no indigestion, poisoning too, so it’s not bad at all, but still a little expensive : ), although maybe not, if you think about it : ), for two a day it took about 120 UAH, without breakfast, with a small amount of meat and without vegetables, we bought the vegetables ourselves separately because ordering salads is too expensive. You can take food to your room and eat there quietly with the sound of the TV : ). There are not many channels - ORT, RTR, 1 + 1, a news channel and some other. DVD is very convenient, in the evening the child could watch his favorite cartoons, and we could relax.
There is a playground on the territory, a huge plus, a minus is that it is in the sun, but the kids climb it after 18, there is a children's pool, a covered area under which there are sun loungers and a tennis table. There is a special gazebo, next to which a brazier is located, where everyone grilled shish kebabs every evening. There is a nanny who looks after the children, there are children's competitions and many toys for children.
A huge plus, for us personally : ), this is SILENCE, no discos, screams and showdowns, our child goes to bed early, and my husband and I enjoyed sitting on the terrace in the evenings listening to crickets, admiring the incredibly beautiful night sky and drinking wine , without ora and music. Our room, and the other suites, are in front of the peach orchard, so it's generally quiet, while the other rooms are in front of the pool and covered area, so it's noisier there until all the children are put to bed. There is a separate kitchen where you can boil something and boil a kettle.
They didn’t burden us with cleaning : )), but they gave us all the necessary accessories for her, they didn’t change the linen, although they said that they change it once a week - you had to specifically go and ask. There was a blockage in the sink, it was removed by the husband, not the base workers. Electricity went out several times, the networks were weak, and the heat and, of course, everything was on the conders.
The base itself is a 20-minute walk from the sea, this is a minus, although the sea is visible while you are walking towards it, but the base is not near the estuary, which periodically smells good. Due to the fact that the base is not in the center, there is no noise from cars, discos and passers-by. The base is surrounded by a tall fence, closed at night, parking for cars is located on the territory of the base.
The beach is good, it would be great if it were not for the disgusting vacationers and at least some actions of the local authorities to clean the beach, etc. On the beach there are places to enter the sea, where there is sand with shells and where there are stones, where it is not shallow and where children and parents can feel calm, because it is shallow. The sea is amazing, crystal clear, yes there are periods of arrival of jellyfish and algae, but sorry - this is the sea and their environment. We were lucky, the sea was warm, only two days before departure it cooled a little, but it became refreshing and completely clean, without jellyfish and algae.
On the beach you can rent sun loungers - 20 UAH, there are stalls, there are sellers with baklava, straws, shrimp, fish, etc. , there are bananas, a slide, you can swim on a boat for 120 UAH per person and explore the surroundings from the sea, you can ride a horse - 20 UAH. five minutes. In the village you can rent bicycles, in the range of 100 UAH per day, one bike, mopeds, quads and buggies, the latter for 400 UAH per hour. You can fly on a hang glider, etc.
There is a central street in the village where bases, a market are located, in the morning you can buy homemade milk, shops, cottage cheese, etc. for kids. There are drinking establishments, a “club” with foam parties and a “tenek” cinema, I can’t say anything - I haven’t been : ).
In general, rest in Olenevka is either a complete dedication to the beach or an active holiday with bicycles, the steppe, diving into clear water with a mask. There are no special entertainments there, but you also need to go there not for them, but to the sea, there is no such sea on the territory of Ukraine anymore. Be sure to take a mask and a snorkel for diving, the bottom is in full view, with shells, hermit crabs, fish, jellyfish, and the bays are generally a song for lovers of the underwater world - words cannot describe : ).
Attractions - a lighthouse, small and large Atlesh, Dzhangul, a bowl of love, grottoes, gorgeous views, just breathtaking. They can be reached by car, but!! ! very carefully, while we were sitting and admiring Dzhangul, two cars were damaged by stones, one on the bottom, the other one bent the wheel disk. You can also arrange for yourself a bike tour for inspection - which we did or go on a sightseeing bus, sort of like 50 UAH. from the forehead Roads to sights can hardly be called roads , but those who wish can get there, since there are several roads and you can still get there in a roundabout way.
