I’ll make a reservation right away that over the past 3 years I’ve been resting in similar places in the same Alushta, so there is something to compare with, not having in mind the star hotels of far abroad. And despite the fact that most likely I won’t go to this hotel again, I can’t say that the rest was spoiled!
So.
Check-in went very smoothly and quickly. Literally 10 minutes after they entered the territory, the porter was escorted to the room. True, I carried the suitcase myself!

The room, for this class (the standard of the new building) is chic. View from it too. In general, the territory is small, but well-groomed and green. Everything in the room is clean and everything works. Normal TV panel, air conditioning, telephone, small refrigerator with mini bar. The latter, however, is paid, but that's okay! Everything in the bathroom shines. There is a hair dryer, 2 liquid soap dispensers in the shower and by the sink. In addition to snow-white towels, there are special ones for the beach (! ).
Settled down and went to dinner. The food was organized according to the "buffet" system on the open terrace of our own building. The idea is great, but the cooking itself is done in a restaurant of another building and food trays are carried by hand in several pieces to distribute our terrace. Then they are inserted into the food warmer, which involves maintaining the normal temperature of the food. But it either did not work, or did not turn on. Therefore, for example, a hot side dish was a rarity. It would seem that it would be easier to put a microwave nearby so that visitors can heat up their dishes THEMSELVES. But no, it's redundant. Although, again, a contradiction, the food itself is quite tasty and varied. For example, in 10 days I did not take the same soup 2 times. I would note, perhaps, only a small number of vegetables (this is in the Crimea then) One plate of chopped cucumbers, tomatoes and peppers for the whole institution. If you ask, they, of course, will be brought from a neighboring building, but during this time you can have time to eat! Of the drinks, there are always 2 juices, tea bags, instant coffee and, almost always, kefir. But the request to organize milk for coffee caused a stupor and was not implemented. About 10 meters from the building there is a snack bar with free juices, wine, beer. On the very first day, my wife and I took a plastic glass of wine and gathered to have lunch with them. Were immediately stopped by the bartender. Nothing can be taken out of the bar. And, of course, from the "Swedish line" too. So, first drink wine without a snack, and then go eat. That's the SCOOP #1. By the end of the day, the soap dispenser by the sink was leaking. Of course, the problem is not big, but it is unpleasant when toothbrushes and paste are all in soap (no cups are provided). Reported this to the porter Irina. It was said that everything will be decided. The truth was a little embarrassing that they did not ask what room we were from. Well, suddenly they already remembered it in person. A couple of days went by with no action. In fairness, it should be noted that when I accidentally met our maid near the room and showed her this problem, a couple of hours later the dispenser was replaced with a new one! The next much more serious disappointment was the beach. Rather, the practical inability to use its infrastructure. As we were told upon check-in, we can use wooden sunbeds on the beach rented from the Crimean sanatorium. But literally on the second day, having come to the beach, taking 2 free sunbeds and sunbathing on them for a while, they were politely but persistently driven away from them by people resting in the sanatorium itself. As it turned out, all the sunbeds are numbered and the vacationers in the "Crimea" in the sanatorium books indicate the sunbed due to them. So, I had to guess which hosts would not come to today. An attempt to resolve this issue with the receptionist was in vain. Even taking into account the fact that they allegedly tried to resolve the situation through their CEO. So, you can sunbathe either standing, or lying on the pebbles, or renting a plastic sun lounger for some money. Moreover, as they explained to us, last year coupons were issued for a normal visit to the beach, and this year their general did not agree to this. The price of the issue is 100 rubles per person per day. Of course, not God knows what kind of money, but with a fairly decent cost of vouchers and positioning yourself as All inclusive, it’s strange (Scoop No. 3). Delivery to the beach was not very well arranged. It is not very close, and, most importantly, much lower than the hotel. So there are 3 flights in the morning and 3 flights in the afternoon. The last bus from the beach leaves at 14-05. That is, if you go down to the beach after lunch, you will have to climb back up the mountain on foot. The request to organize at least one, even if paid, flight drowned in the whirlpool of Sovka No. 4 in the evening.
Well, the last chord was the day of departure. According to the regulations, the room is rented at 11 o'clock. We collected our things at about 9 o'clock and told the receptionist that we wanted to rent a room. A few minutes later, a lady came up to us (apparently the head maid) counted the contents of the minibar, checked whether we had stolen sheets and duvet covers (! ), took the keys and politely said goodbye. Since we still had friends in the hotel, without any second thought we took our things to their room and went to the beach. Since we booked a taxi for 17:00, we planned to return for things just before departure. When we returned, we were met at the entrance by a whole team of administrators-security guards with how come we still have not left. After some time for us to figure out what the actual problem was, it turned out that they were terribly afraid that we would go to the snack bar after the estimated time and get drunk on free drinks that we were no longer entitled to!

This is such an interesting and controversial combination of good, if not excellent, infrastructure and spoiling the impression of it from people who do not know how to present it to vacationers. And there is no feeling that they do not want to. Help each other. This is especially evident in the waiters. Everyone is friendly. But they simply have not yet been taught, in the good sense of the word, to work for the client!
I hope I didn't get the feeling that I was specifically looking for flaws. Rather the opposite. Once again, I'm still happy with the rest. Just in comparison with the previous places, the shortcomings are striking!
