Hello! Last year we rested 12 days in June with a friend and a child in this hotel. In general, there were only excellent impressions. I was even surprised, because I thought that the amazing view from the balcony, new rooms, an excellent pool would spoil the famous Crimean service - but I was wrong, and I still remember the waitress Alena, who was very attentive to everyone, fast and smiling. The bartender made great cocktails. In general, everyone worked professionally. And we advised our friends this hotel as unique in its kind due to the incredibly beautiful views of the Ayu-Dag and the excellent level of service. The only negative was the lack of places assigned to you on sunbeds on the beach (although it was in the direct competitor of Majestic - the Nord Hotel). But we often went to the beach at Aivazovskoye or swam in the pool, and there were not so many people in mid-June - there were free places on the beach of the Krym sanatorium.
This year, she persuaded her husband to go to rest on Constitution Day in Majestic, having previously dispelled his doubts about the service. Well, actually it all started from the very beginning - check-in from 13-00, we arrived at 14, the room was not ready, we were put in a restaurant for lunch. After a difficult 7-hour journey, I ordered a Martini with ice - they brought it without ice, warm, if not hot : -( I would honestly not write about such nonsense - it’s not in my rules to grumble over such insignificant reasons - but it turns out it was the first signal that the service has not just deteriorated compared to last year, but it has simply evaporated. They recruited new staff, but forgot to teach how to serve people.
By the way, one evening when I ordered Margarita for myself, I was once again unpleasantly surprised - the cocktail was brought 30 minutes after the order, despite the fact that a maximum of 2 tables were occupied in the restaurant. They said they were looking for a lime, but they never found it. The edges of the glass were covered in sugar instead of salt, the tequila and Cointreau were warm, there was no ice at all. This time I could not stand it - I made a remark, to which the waiter asked me: "Do you prefer Margarita with ice? ". Damn, what do you prefer? Burnt like mulled wine? : -) In short, they brought me lumpy ice and I kind of made myself a cocktail : -)

Well, actually the main fly in the ointment - despite the fact that during the day the hotel guests choose dishes for breakfast and lunch from the menu, you can sit at the table for 20 minutes or more and NO ONE WILL SUIT YOU !! ! Not only with the aim of bringing food, but at least to start clearing the table. Until you come up and remind yourself of yourself, the waiters serve 1-2 tables, they don’t even look at you. Tipping somewhat smoothed the situation, but did not reduce the time of service - between 15 and 20 minutes could pass between the change of dishes. Having asked 5 times for tea to be brought immediately, we HONESTLY did not wait for it.
Yes, and the bed linen last year was snow-white, this year - everything is stained, despite the smell of bleach that comes from it. Apparently you still need to add powder when washing : -))
But on the beaches they allocated places on sun loungers - although in the 5th sector, it pleases.
The general conclusion is that if it were not for the opportunity to compare with last year, then in principle it is possible to endure and adjust to the sleepy waiters and "no" bartender. But the possibility of comparison was, alas, not in favor of the hotel. I would like the review to reach the management - and appropriate conclusions were drawn.
