I want to focus on holidays with children - after all, this is the specialization of the sanatorium, and many choose this place specifically for children. I know from my own experience that finding a suitable place in Crimea for holidays with small children is a particularly difficult issue. This was also in front of us - we went with a one and a half year old child. But I won't forget about the adults either. I write some thoughts not only for potential vacationers, but also for the administration - as far as I know, she monitors reviews on the Internet.
The hotel officially accepts children from the age of 1 (by the way, a rarity in the Crimea), but we also saw babies of six months. By the way, children in the sanatorium are a sea of all ages.
We booked and paid for the resort directly through the administration (on the Internet). They have their own website http://chernomorets. com. ua/, where you can find a lot of information about the resort itself. Wrote to the e-mail indicated there. address.

We were sent an invoice that we paid at the bank and sent them a copy of the payment. A day later, I received an email confirmation of my booking. A couple of days before arrival, a transfer was ordered by the sanatorium phone. The car was waiting for us at the airport.
We were in the first half of September - the weather was like summer in a temperate latitude, warm, but not sweltering heat, sometimes cool in the evenings. The weather is very comfortable, although the sea is no longer so warm, and the weather can be windy, and it can rain. Air conditioning was never needed.

The TERRITORY is large and green. Only about a third or a quarter has been mastered. The rest is wilderness, fenced on one side and hills on the other. That is, civilization and nature - all in one bottle. The developed territory is quite well-groomed, with elements of landscape design.
A lot of various green plants are planted near the administrative building, and there is a considerable rose garden with benches - a wonderful quiet place for mothers with strollers so that the child sleeps in the fresh air and in silence. By the way, the air in the sanatorium is simply amazing, because between the buildings there is an alley lined with thujas (or cypresses? ). Every morning they left the building, inhaled the air and could not breathe. Green lawns. The territory is constantly cleaned, so you will not notice any pieces of paper or cigarette butts. From my point of view, there are not enough benches around the lawn, which is between the buildings and the restaurant, as well as near the playground: in the evenings, children play there, and there is not always a place to sit down. There are fountains and a small waterfall. Forged gnomes are hidden all over the territory, which children like to find.

In general, the territory is very quiet, there are no strangers here, and the sanatorium itself is located on the edge of the village, so you can’t hear noise because of the fence either. For young children, this is a big plus. The territory intended for tourists is all pedestrian, occasionally only a silent electric car can pass, delivering, for example, linen. So kids can run everywhere without danger. (We saw people who arrived in the rain and were offended that they were not allowed to drive up to the doors of the building. It would be strange if it were the other way around: how do you like jeeps driving along footpaths? ) The hotel has a fenced and guarded parking lot for those who came in his car.
As for the undeveloped territory, there are 2 lakes on it. One near the medical center and swimming pools. Swans, pelicans, ducks of various colors swim there. Children love to feed them. It was one of our evening entertainments.
The second lake, which is closer to the beach, without surface animals. There are a lot of fish in both lakes, but they are allowed to catch it only in the first one (fishing rods can be rented from the administration, caught fish can be asked to cook in a summer cafe on the grill, give it to a pelican or release it back), the guards drive away from the second lake, they say, this is the owner’s lake. Between the lakes there is a meadow and forbs with grass above the waist. Some do not advise walking on the hills, because they seem to have seen snakes there.
The territory outside the fence is a poor Crimean village with wretched Soviet sanatoriums and stinky Tatar drinking and eating establishments along the beach. Sheer misery and disappointment. The common beach of the village with large sharp stones interspersed with sand and the rusty remains of some structures are completely depressing: a great location for filming the sequel to the film "Kindza-dza". Our Chernomorets looks like an oasis of modern civilization.

FOOD We were very worried about baby food, because at that time my daughter was one and a half years old, and she had not eaten much with us yet. But our fears were unfounded. It was very nice to see that this point is well thought out here. The restaurant had a separate Swedish line for children, where they had: Nestle instant cereals in packs, Vebivit instant drink. For breakfast: cottage cheese, sour cream, cheese, boiled eggs, hot milk, ready-made milk porridge, sausages or steam cutlets, side dish (buckwheat, pasta, rice, mashed potatoes). For lunch: mashed soup and ordinary soup without frying, also sausages or boiled sausage and steam cutlets or boiled fish or meat with gravy, 2 side dishes to choose from, fresh cucumbers and tomatoes. For dinner, again, milk porridge and side dishes with meat. That is, there is plenty to choose from. We often gave our daughter something to sample from an adult table.
On the children's table there are children's plastic utensils (plates, cups, spoons with forks) for those who are still learning to eat on their own. When the child needed oatmeal with water (the child had an upset stomach), we asked the waitress, and in the kitchen they cooked it and ground it with a blender, for which many thanks to them.
Adult food is quite pulling on 4 stars. The restaurant is recently renovated, very clean, nice, stylish and solid. They say that in August there was a German cook, but we didn’t find him in September. Nevertheless, they prepared sincerely and for every taste. Mostly Russian-Ukrainian dishes with elements of the cuisine of the peoples of the USSR and European cuisine (for example, chokhokhbili, bolognese sauce, dolma, etc. ). Here they wrote that everything is fat. I do not know. In my opinion, not at all, everything is within the normal range.
For breakfast there was always milk porridge, something from eggs (boiled, scrambled eggs or scrambled eggs), from cottage cheese (dumplings, casserole or pancakes), fried potatoes, fried sausages, three types of muesli, cottage cheese, yogurt, could serve something from past meal, but we didn't mind. Everything is delicious anyway. For sandwiches there is butter, sliced cheese and sausages. From drinks: green and black tea, coffee (obviously brewed in a saucepan, not of the best quality), fermented baked milk, kefir, cocoa, 2 types of juice (apple was real, only diluted, orange is a diluted dry drink, not at all tasty) . For breakfast and dinner there was a salad bar: all kinds of ingredients for making salads with your own hands with sauces for them. Great idea! And for breakfast there were hot bread and homemade buns. They were swept away in an instant.

For lunch: 2 types of soups, various main courses and side dishes, several types of salads, compote or jelly, white and red wine on tap, apples or watermelons from fruit, usually only one type of dessert (jelly, or pie, or cakes).
For dinner, there are also all kinds of main courses and side dishes, dessert, wine, tea, coffee, sour-milk drinks.
As for other alcoholic drinks, they could theoretically be bought at a bar in a restaurant (although I have never seen anyone do this) or in a cafe on the first floor of the restaurant (they also made good coffee for money, and you can was to buy some dessert with frills). There is also a cozy summer cafe on the territory, where for an extra charge. You can always eat, drink and taste ice cream for a fee. True, these cafes were always practically empty - the restaurant had more than enough food and drinks.
If you need any additional food products, then in the administrative building there is a small mini market where you can find cheese, sausage, sweets, biscuits, water and more. In the market 100 meters from the entrance there is a variety of fruits and vegetables (I suspect that at least half of them are of non-Crimean origin) and at prices higher than Kyiv ones.

ROOMS: by our arrival in the room there was already a cot with linen. True, the crib always strove to fall apart. The maids quickly replaced it with a good one.
The rooms are all different. There are also single rooms (there are very few of them and you need to book them in advance), and double and quadruple rooms. In the second building, the interior is older and the furniture is simpler, in the third (we rested in it) everything is better and newer. Overall, I would rate the room 3 stars. Eurowindows, furniture is not bad and without frills, not a new carpet.

The bathroom has a simple toilet, sink, shower and for some reason a transparent plastic door, albeit with a frieze. The floor in the bathroom was constantly wet, and after taking a shower, it was just wet - obviously, something was oozing from somewhere. The water from the shower went into the drain very slowly, and in order not to make a flood, it was necessary to wash under a very weak stream. At first it seemed to us that the drain was just clogged in the shower, they called a plumber who came instantly, it seemed to clean something, but it didn’t get much better. Heard the same story from the guests in the other room. Separate air conditioning is in each room, it works properly. In general, we only slept in the room, so we did not really pay attention to some imperfection of the room. I really liked the linen (bedding and towels): very good quality, new and snow-white. Change on demand. The rooms only have 2 electrical outlets in the very corner for TV and fridge.
So you won't be able to shave or boil water without an extension cord (your).

There are suites, mostly located in the administrative building: everything is new and more impressive, but there are no balconies in the building, it stands on the outskirts, that is, away from food and all entertainment, and near the road, although not noisy.

SEA / POOLS The sea is not close by resort standards, 700 meters, but from 9 to 18-00 an open train with two trailers runs to it. Children are delighted with him. Periodicity - as it fills up, a maximum of 10-15 minutes. But, if the children are not very small, you can go on foot. It's a pleasure to go! The road is an old Soviet asphalt, and around is untouched wildlife. You feel like you are in a village. The road to the beach is only 50 percent shady, so it can be hot to go in summer.
The beach is huge, closed, only for its own, although a number of outsiders manage to seep through the pier with a high fence.
However, they lie on the outskirts and do not interfere with anyone. On the beach, sand interspersed with pebbles, slippers are recommended for those who are especially sensitive. Everywhere there is a sufficient number of sun loungers, towels for them are given according to hotel cards, but there are no umbrellas and mattresses. There are no children's entertainment on the beach either. There is practically no infrastructure on the beach, except for a tent where you can buy ice cream, bottled soft drinks, as well as beer and kvass on tap. But you need to take into account, as far as I know, that the beach itself does not officially belong to the sanatorium (legislation! ), although it is fenced off from strangers. There is an open shower both by the sea (near the train stop) and by the pools, however, the water there is only cold and they are somehow inconspicuous ...

There are three swimming pools on site. There are also sun loungers and towels, but no umbrellas or mattresses. The adult pool is winding, like the largest in the Crimea.
Quite decent, with different depths and an island. There is a children's pool with a slide and a fountain, but it is located on the very edge, there are few sun loungers, and the water in both pools was already cool in September, so no one really swam there. Everyone swam in the third heated pool, the smallest one. The maximum temperature that was noticed there is +26 degrees. Our manyunka never agreed to swim in such cold water by her standards for all 2 weeks.

ENTERTAINMENT in general, children were starting from a few months of age and ending with teenagers. Here everyone needs their own entertainment.
There is a large playground, but not modern and it looks somewhat gloomy, because everything is made of logs, painted with dark brown stain, there are shovels, buckets, apiaries on the playground in the sandbox.
A lot of toys lie in the lobby of buildings 2 and 3 (cars, balls, rubber rings, etc. ).
A children's center almost with a bowling alley and an ultra-modern gym were promised to be built by 2010, but by May 2010 there was not a word about them on the Chernomorets website. Now in the second building there is a children's room, where there is a lot of entertainment for children: books, felt-tip pens, plasticine, a lot of all sorts of toys. A teacher works in the room, under whose supervision you can leave the child, if, for example, you have procedures in honey. center. The room is open until 5 or 6 pm and is closed on weekends.
There are books for teenagers and adults in the literary cafe on the 1st floor of the restaurant (legacy from the Soviet sanatorium and left by the guests).
There is some tension with the press, because in the village there is only one Soyuzpechat kiosk, lurking in the backyard of the bazaar, which is open only until 14-00 or 15-00 and is closed on Sunday and Monday.
They say that in August there was animation in the sanatorium. In September, we did not find her.

The hotel has a cinema hall where movies are shown every evening (both adult films and full-length cartoons).
There are no discos, so nothing prevents children from sleeping in the evening. There was only one unpleasant incident with a corporate party. This famously appeared at first in the form of a pile of beer bottles and cigarette butts on the beach and around the trash cans on the territory itself (usually there is no such thing), then during lunch and dinner, a terrible hubbub and indecent cackling came from some tables in the restaurant, and it all ended with a night disco in a summer outdoor cafe. Almost the entire sanatorium listened to loud music and screams until 12 at night. It is not at all clear: if the owners have decided on their target audience in the form of children (which is a great competitive advantage), then where are the noisy corporate parties that do not fit in here, at least in the period from May to September.

The MEDICAL CENTER has nothing to do with children, therefore, briefly.
If there is a desire or need, write comments and suggestions, as well as thanks in the review books that are at the reception, in the medical center and in the restaurant on the 1st floor: the authorities stick their nose into these books often and first of all. In addition, the hotel managers (this is a married couple) quite often walk around the territory itself, so you can contact them directly with your wishes.

TAKE WITH YOU: 1. An extension cord with several sockets (a night light, a mobile phone, and you never know what else you need), 2. A first-aid kit with necessary medicines (there is only a very small selection in the medical center, and near the market there is only a wretched pharmacy kiosk with a meager assortment and utter prices), 3. Reading, 4. Boiler with a cup and a spoon, 5. Snack for the child for the evening - porridge or mashed potatoes (we took cottage cheese and sour cream in the restaurant in the morning, left it in the refrigerator in the room so that there was something to feed the child before going to bed). 6.

Stock up on diapers, canned food, milk formulas and dry cereals (for example, for evening feeding), baby water for the entire stay - if any of the above is relevant to you, because there is practically nowhere to buy all this.

DO NOT TAKE: inflatable circles, a stroller - practically not needed if the child is already walking, because everything is nearby except the beach. Glasses, clothespins, a clothesline, a basin, a shoehorn, a bottle opener are also not needed: all this is in the room. A trifle, but nice. You don't need an iron, as each floor has an ironing room with a good imported iron.

AND MORE: what about diapers and baby water. We took supplies with us only for the first few days. We hoped that as a last resort it would be possible to go to Simferopol and Sevastopol - according to the map, it was not so far there. Practically, it takes about an hour to drive to both cities by car, so we have no such options.
Bakhchisarai was not even considered as an alternative. Pampers were at one time in the market pharmacy kiosk, but it was too strange: TM Pampers, but a green one-color print on a white background without any pictures (not to be confused with the premium segment of this TM). Painfully, it looked like something illegal, and we were afraid to take it. In fact, normal diapers, baby water, mixtures, cereals and mashed potatoes can only be bought in the village of Vilino, which is 10 km from the sanatorium: the second stop from the circle in Vilino towards Bakhchisarai, a minimarket in the Wild Med shopping center, as well as a kiosk with children's goods in front of this mall. There is also a kiosk nearby with computer disks, if anyone needs it. It should be taken into account that life in small settlements occurs only in the first half of the day. After a maximum of three in the afternoon, everything closes until the next morning (“Wild honey” works longer).
I never managed to get to the shopping center and back on a ride: not a single dog stops there in front of the voters on the road. So there are only taxis that are on duty near the sanatorium, infrequent buses or your car.

SUMMARY: “I won’t tell you for all of Odessa” (c) and for the whole of Crimea, but definitely a very comfortable place for families with children, including small ones, and for pensioners. People who prefer active recreation will be bored here. There is an insignificant change in climate for children here (the steppe Crimea, where the village of Peschanoe is located, is much closer to the temperate latitude of Russia and Ukraine than the South Coast), and in Chernomorets itself much has been done specifically for children, which you will not find in most domestic hotels and sanatoriums ), and I am glad that the administration is constantly working to develop in this direction.
This is the place that word of mouth recommends (if you don’t bother with minor flaws), and the place where many extend their vacation (we met such people, and this is quite possible when the resort is not 100% loaded). Of course, there are dissatisfied people everywhere, especially among those who expected to see Turkish or European service on a single territory in Crimea. But my dears, the sanatorium does not yet claim to be a star (otherwise the prices would be 2 times higher), although, apparently, it strives for it. By the way, we recently met “dissatisfied” who were at the same time with us and all the time blamed Chernomorets. So they are going there again this summer, and even knocked out their friends.
