So, once again the question arose about choosing a place of rest. The foreign passport is expired - so the choice is obvious - Crimea : ) We have already been with my wife and child in some Crimean "family 4-star" hotels. It's time for MarLeMar - bribed a lot of positive reviews about this place. They wanted to go to it last year, but there were no places and the choice fell on a hotel in Alushta. This year we were more lucky and we finally went to MarLeMar. "Wow, what a high rating of the hotel" - we thought.
Looking ahead, the reason for such a high score became clear. Most of the reviews, as it turned out, were made by people who had not been to other hotels for family holidays, for example, in Turkey or even in similar Crimean ones. Or were the last time in
Crimea 20 years ago and, of course, any more or less decent hotel gives the impression of paradise : )

As for us - we have been in many hotels in different countries of the world; and of course in the Crimea, in hotels of this category, which positions itself MarleMar. Therefore, I hope our review will be more objective. But everything is in order.
Advice to those who decide to go to Simferopol by bus - do not do it : ) Firstly, the bus there is like a minibus, i. stops at every corner. Secondly by
upon arrival in Peschanoe, you will still have to order a taxi to the hotel (UAH 25), because. It seems to be walking not far, about 25 minutes, but it is very inconvenient with things. It is better to take a taxi from Simferopol directly to the hotel (250 UAH). There is another option - to take a minibus from Simferopol to Beregovoe - it goes right next to MarLeMar.
So, arrival. I think everyone knows how it happens : ) A bunch of bags are pulled out of a taxi and a child is caught at the same time : ) And the first impression is that the guard at the entrance did not offer to help with things. Of course a trifle. But it's the little things that make the big impression. Registered, issued yellow bracelets : ). We arrived at 13:00 - I had to walk for another hour on the territory before settling. It should be noted that the bracelets are comfortable, not rigid and can be easily removed. This is a plus.
The rooms are pretty good. In total, there are 7 2-storey houses on the territory. Each house has 8 rooms. There is an immediate sense of seclusion. We lived in rooms of the category "standard", "comfort" and "studio suite".
Even the standard rooms are quite spacious. There is air conditioning, refrigerator, TV, kettle, you can get an iron. The air conditioner is located normally, i. e. does not blow on the bed as it sometimes happens. The refrigerator is traditionally small and inconvenient, but, in principle, this is not a problem, because. meals included. Laundry is in the 6th house downstairs. It is paid (25 UAH with its own powder). The TV has only 15 channels - for us it was not at all important, but for a child I would like to add some more channels with cartoons, for example TiJi or CN. The mattresses in the rooms are uncomfortable. Old spring block. Sleeping is not very comfortable.

The territory is small, but quite well-groomed, pine trees create pleasant air. In general, with regard to rooms and territory - everything seems to be fine with this. But the work of the staff, to put it mildly, is not very good.
Animation. For example, the game "sand castles" is planned. Standard entertainment. How does it work in other hotels? The animators teach the little ones how to make pastries, the older ones how to build sand houses, etc. And in Marlemar - work out for about 5 minutes and that's it. "Now build castles who can do it better! " - they say here and indifferently begin to chat with the guards, then they leave. "Let's play water polo! " shouts an entertainer from Marlemar. Throws the ball into the pool and leaves. Then he returns with the words "Oh, we need more gates, take it, we have small ones here, though there are only one - but okay, you'll figure it out. " Here is such a grief-animation. And watching cartoons in the children's room? In other hotels, the cartoon is watched together, and the children are told and explained what is happening on the screen, discussing the plot, etc. And in Marlemar they stupidly turn on the disk and that's it, the kids are on their own. Animators gather in a group and discuss who ate where, who drank what, etc. Children are left to themselves.
They rarely play with children. By the way, about the children's room. There are swimming pools next to it. But the animators do not follow the children, so the child may well run out and dive in : ) There were two such cases with us, since usually the parents are always on duty there and quickly pull out the wet child.
In general, there is animation - but more for show. Complete indifference and indifference of the staff. "Oh, my shift would soon end" - it is directly written on the face of the animators.

What about the beach guards? They, too, don't care! We went and came often without bracelets and they didn’t say a word to us! All sorts of corn sellers, etc. walk along the beach (ideally closed to outsiders). By the way, the fact that a sun lounger is included in the price does not mean that you will get it : ) there was simply no free sunbed, no rescue sailor. Appeals to the staff also had no effect.
In general, petty savings are annoying. Why not put banal rubber tracks on the beach, so that it would be more convenient to go to the sea? Why not buy 10 pieces of children's pools and balls? After all, it's worth every penny! In similar (and even simpler hotels) this all goes without saying. Why can't you pay by card in Marlemar? Why is there not the smallest shop to at least buy diapers, what kind of baby clothes is the simplest, sunscreen, etc. ? There is none of this, if you please, take a walk to the bus station (an hour there and back).
I must say that marlemar resembles a certain car, in principle, a good one - but with punctured tires, broken windows, scratched and under the control of a would-be driver. It's a shame - the hotel is good, but these little things and indifference spoil it so much
employees!
As for food. This is a special question. It was recently written here that the food is disgusting. This is not entirely true. The food isn't exactly disgusting - it's bad. Of course, if you compare it with a roadside eatery - then all right. But if you compare it with food in other similar hotels, even Crimean ones (not to mention Turkey), then everything is sad.

The selection is VERY limited. Two salads, sticky rice, liver, chicken legs, pasta with terrible butter (like spread or palm oil), unripe peaches, hard shortbread cookies (two types - round and elongated), a bun, a red drink, a yellow drink, tea - that's almost everything menu : ) Maybe I forgot of course, but the assortment is EXTREMELY small. And it's not even that the choice is small. The QUALITY of it all is terrible. Bread. For the first 5 days of rest, it was impossible to take it in your mouth! Then suddenly it became normal - and we understood everything! These rolls are made - and they lie for a week : ) You can eat them on the first day, and then it’s already difficult. By the way, a surprise is prepared for the vacationer : ) Near the container with tea there are carafes of cold water - to dilute the boiling water. But in the decanters, the water (as we managed to get out of the waitresses) is not boiled, and in the tea container it is boiled : )
And coffee . . the process of its preparation is original. There is a container with water, ground coffee is poured there in the morning. And then, as they are spent, they are supplemented with water of various temperatures. As a result, at the end we get an almost cold, very weakly concentrated coffee drink. It is strategically advantageous to pour coffee at the very beginning - but not immediately : ) And so that the water in this machine has time to heat up - but it has not yet been diluted : )
And the children's menu is when there are two - when there is one container with mashed potatoes or something like that : ) In general, it is very tasteless and very undifferentiated. More choice even in the worst hotels!
By the way, the custom menu from the restaurant is the same quality as the buffet : (
And most importantly, don't get sick! There is no doctor in Marlemar. More precisely, he is, but . . he is in Simferopol : ) Call 120-140 UAH. Of course, it is not yet a fact that he will be able to arrive promptly. There is also a free ambulance service. Our child just got sick - food poisoning : ( So what? No one even bothered that BECAUSE OF THEIR DIET a stomach disease occurred. There is no doctor. I had to go to the neighboring nursery
camp - and their pediatrist wondered how there is no doctor in Marlemar - usually where there are children there should be a doctor. They stopped feeding the child in a restaurant - they bought food in a store at a bus station. Everything is gone! We were delighted, we decided that there was acclimatization, maybe unusual food and water, etc. But as soon as the child was fed again in the Marlemar restaurant, nausea and vomiting returned : ( So everything is obvious : ( The conclusion can be made unambiguous about the quality of food.
The most annoying thing is that no one apologized to us for spoiling the rest and the health of the child undermined by their food. The only thing they did was to impose their Simferopol doctor.

It should be noted the very good professional forgetfulness of the staff, in particular, a certain "Ekaterina's administrator". She asked US if WE remember which room we are moving to : ) (we booked several rooms) And when the child got sick - we called several times and expressed our concerns about the quality of food - she was very surprised every time, as if she had heard all this for the first time. Then, when she found out that we went to a doctor from a nearby hotel and he pointed out the food nature of the disease - the administrator Ekaterina, with an air of great favor, said that it was possible to cook normal potatoes and rice in water without their terrible oils. But I forgot to tell the restaurant. I had to be reminded. Then they forgot in the restaurant. I had to be reminded. As a result, the child was able to eat only one meal alone - all the previous time he ate cookies and water from the store : ( Although, as I already noted, it was during this time that the child had no problems with the stomach : )
Yes, what else surprised me was that if you have a train late in the evening, and you need to leave at 12, you will have to pay extra 400 UAH per person, and not just pay for additional meals, as in other hotels. It would be nice if they really took this money from those people who use the services temporarily without accommodation. But ripping off extra money from people who already brought a lot of money to the hotel is ugly.
So, I think the point is clear. Everything in Marlemar is good - except for the staff. And besides the food. To disperse all this unfortunate staff, the chef in general to tear off everything that is possible : ) and everything will be SUPER in this hotel! Yes, some maids can be left (in the 6th and 2nd house they cleaned well).
