We were 37 Muscovites - 25 schoolchildren aged 11-13 and 12 teachers and parents.
We arrived on a wonderful, by Moscow standards, almost summer day, it was 17 degrees. The children, getting off the train, immediately took off their jackets. We had fun arriving at the hotel. First, the children were settled, and then we adults went up to the floor. His face smelt cold and damp. Frozen indoor plants rested in dirty tubs in the lobby in front of the elevators, and our children wandered along the corridor, already wearing jackets, hats, gloves wrapped in scarves. In some rooms, the balcony doors did not close tightly, the beds were cold and damp (whoever lies in such a bed is guaranteed to get pneumonia if he has the courage to undress before), there was no hot water. Plumbing, furniture, extra blankets and other interior details had served their time long before the collapse of the USSR.
But the servants are iron people. They, unlike taps, doors and linen, nothing took. To all our complaints, they - regardless of position - answered that the temperature was normal, it was possible to live, they would not heat (they didn’t heat all winter and won’t for us), the elevators are turned off at 23 o’clock, because they save electricity. Heaters, so be it, will give, but you need to turn them on in turn, because it can knock out the plugs. In general, our children are spoiled, others lived and said thank you. And when they come from Moscow, everything is wrong for them (we only claimed warmth and cleanliness). Nails would be made of these people!
The travel agency that hosted us took a stand in solidarity with the hotel (all partners! ). Except for the guide, on whom nothing depended in relations with the hotel, despite our urgent demands, no one met with us. It happens: you make a 100% prepayment and immediately cease to be interesting.
On the second night, sockets and, consequently, heaters stopped working in several rooms (and when they were working, the children slept under 5 blankets dressed and in hats). It was then that we learned that for the night in the entire 13-story hotel, only one maid remains from the staff, who is not responsible for anything and does not know any emergency phones. But we still have nowhere to go. Sevastopol in March is not Turkey in August, where, they say, our tourists had to live on the street. Although on that memorable night, we, adults, went out to the balcony to discuss the situation - according to the forecast, it was +8, and it turned out to be warmer than in the corridor. All four days we warmed up both in body and soul only on excursions - on the street, in the bus and palaces.
Separate song - elevators. It’s just that they don’t go down, first they go to the 13th floor, there is a fitness and a bar. At first, we grumbled at the children that they were buying chewing gum, Coca-Cola and other nonsense there, and then we realized that the children were not to blame, if you like it or not, you go to a bar. It's good that at least it is!
But still there were two outlets - a restaurant and an Internet cafe, both of which have no direct relation to the hotel (maybe that's why they work like human beings? ). The people are friendly, warm, tasty, the Internet is good.
Needless to say, the joy of parting with the few staff of the 13-storey glacier was mutual. And on the trip, I recalled Aksenov's "Island of Crimea" many times. He was right, but exactly the opposite, although in Moscow the sky is gray and it snows at the end of March. But Crimea is a pity... With such and such a history, with such and such nature...
In general, if you are offered to stay in the TOK "Crimea", run like the plague.

We wanted to see the places of glory of the navy of Russia (before the formation of the USSR) and the USSR. There were three of us, 29.27 and 16 years old. We booked a 3-seater economy one month before departure without prepayment. The choice was influenced by the cost of the room (350 hryvnia with breakfast for three) and the words "located in the city center, unlike other hotels on the site" from the review levashov-76 "ABOUT THE HOTEL CRIMEA" on turpravda. … More ▾ We wanted to see the places of glory of the navy of Russia (before the formation of the USSR) and the USSR. There were three of us, 29.27 and 16 years old. We booked a 3-seater economy one month before departure without prepayment. The choice was influenced by the cost of the room (350 hryvnia with breakfast for three) and the words "located in the city center, unlike other hotels on the site" from the review levashov-76 "ABOUT THE HOTEL CRIMEA" on turpravda. com.
When checking in, before paying, they asked the administrator to show the room: the maid turned out to be very friendly and offered to see 3 rooms herself. The rooms were not much different, in one the faucets hummed when opened, and we chose the one that, as we thought, had better plumbing. The room has a balcony with a view of Chersonese, TV, refrigerator. The breakfast had no choice, but quite good. The downside of the room was a gap in the front door, due to which, when the balcony was open, a draft formed and the door in the castle area tapped (unfortunately, I got the idea to plug something into the gap so that the door would not knock).
The downside of the hotel is the availability of hot water on schedule: if I'm not mistaken, from 7 to 9, and from 20 to 22 hours.
The location of the hotel is convenient: from the stop you can quickly get to the central embankment, to the entrance to Khersones, and to the Central Department Store, from where you can go to the Yashmovy beach, located near Cape Fiolent, and the 35 battery beach (small, but you don’t have to climb 850 steps as from "Yashmovoi") - if I'm not mistaken, you can get to the beach "battery 35" by bus 95A. Snorkeling and staring at the underwater world on the beaches of "Yashmovy" and "35 Batteries" is great!
Whoever wants to go to Sevastopol, first of all, spend time at the sea, then perhaps it is better to stop directly near the mentioned beaches - otherwise, for vacationers without a car, a bus trip to and from these beaches takes some time and distracts from the rest.
You can stay at the hotels "Eagle's Nest" (http://www. orlinoegnezdo. com. ua/), "Vesta" (http://vesta. crimea. ua/), "Afalina" (http: / /www. afalina. com. ua/) and in rented houses, near the stop there is a cafe and a canteen of the Russian marine part - but again it is worth considering 850 steps from the hotel to the beach and especially from the beach to the hotel for those with children or for whom this is an overload (a rest can turn into physical tests).
At the beach "35 batteries" you can stay in rented houses, I won’t tell you about the infrastructure, but most likely it’s not rich.
And for those vacationers who are not particularly interested in the transparency of the water for diving in a mask, and who are also interested in walking around the city and the embankment, it is worth staying in Sevastopol itself, for example, in the same Krym hotel (for whom it will not be a problem to have hot water with 7 to 9, and from 20 to 22 hours).
I wish you all a pleasant holiday!

We rented a room from the hostess at Yumashka, stomped along the plane tree alley to the beach for 20 minutes, tasted draft Evpatoria, two hryvnias per glass, went by bus to Fiolent and were absolutely happy. We have become
older and more respectable, there was an opportunity to relax in imported resorts... But still, once a year we tried to come here at least for a couple of weekends, because not only my husband's childhood years, but also our honeymoon passed in Sevastopol : )
It makes no sense to rent an apartment for one or two nights, and the owners are reluctant to do this, shamelessly winding up the price for short overnight stays. We don’t like sunbathing, but the concrete “Khrustalka” (“Crystal Beach”) was quite suitable for us, so the TOK (Tourist and Recreation Complex) “Crimea” was chosen as the place of “deployment” - a large twelve-story hotel on the Square of the Rebels. A good location in the central part of the city and an excellent view of the ancient Khersones from the 8th floor - that's, perhaps, all that is good about it. Stayed here three times, and all three times with "adventures".
Booking in the "Crimea" occurs exclusively by fax. And it doesn't matter at all that yesterday, before getting on the train, you heard the administrator's encouraging words on the phone: "Come, there are rooms. We are waiting! " Upon arrival, you will have to enter into a lengthy debate with the reception, because "yesterday there was another shift. " The design of the rooms is designed in the classic "budget" style "back to USSR" (and not in its best years). By the way, staying in a hotel is not so “budget”, a place in a “standard” double room is 240 UAH (per person), total 480 UAH for a room without hot water, with a bathroom tiled in the early 80s of the last century. A place in a triple room costs 90 UAH. per bed, in it, unlike a double, the presence of repair is not even imitated. If it were not for a shabby TV with a remote control rewound with electrical tape, the effect of "immersion in the past" would be complete. Black mold in the bathroom is a "corporate style" TOK "Crimea" and is present in most hotel rooms.
The breakfast deserves special praise. You cannot refuse it (it is "tightly" attached to the price of your room), but it is worth LOOKING at it (it is optional). Eating takes place in a (already) non-functioning nightclub, from 7 to 8.30 in the morning. The semi-dark room is not illuminated (savings), a cart with cold semolina will be rolled up to your table, a little later they will bring barely warm portions with pilaf or "navy-style" pasta. The final "accord" of breakfast is tea from a large teapot, on which "tea" is written in red oil paint (this is so that customers know what they are drinking). You can’t ask for supplements... Yes, however, you don’t want it. "Pishcheblok" and the hotel administration are in "contra", we realized this when one day we forgot the camera during breakfast. Apparently, in order to annoy the "canteen" in the lobby of the hotel, they opened a "bar" where you can drink a cup of decent coffee and eat a sandwich warmed up in the microwave. Of the two elevators in the hotel, only one works (on 12 floors! ). Once, together with us, a junior team of swimmers, consisting of boys of 10-12 years old, stopped to wait, who endlessly rode the elevator, as a result of which, the ascent to the 8th floor and descent from it took a lot of time.
A safety deposit box is provided for guests. Savings boxes are located in the lobby, in front of the reception. On our last visit, we wanted to rent one of them. On the first day, we were told that all the cells were occupied and would be vacated in the morning, in the morning they said that there was a cell, but they would give the key to it after lunch, when a new shift came... After the scandal, we received a cell, but change from 100 UAH. I had to wait two more days.
However, all the roughness of the hotel service will smooth out the hospitality and friendliness of the local population. Before the train departed, running into a bar on Lazarev Square, paying and asking to bring the order quickly, we heard in response: "Are you leaving? Well, that's right! The fewer you are, the better for us! " “What are you talking about? I don’t come here empty-handed! I’m bringing money to your city! ” - the husband flared up. "They think we need their money! " the waitress slammed the plates on the table. . .
Station, platform, our car, as luck would have it, at the very end of the train, almost 10 minutes before departure. I scurry along the train, looking suspiciously at the cars - most of them are already closed. O! Here is ours, the conductor is already on the bandwagon, shouting for us to hurry up. We barely had time to jump on the train, which left 5 minutes ahead of schedule. We are sitting in a compartment, Quarantine Bay, warships, boys on the pier are slowly floating outside the window... "Probably, next time we should stay in another hotel? My husband looked at me frowningly: "You, as you know, but personally I don't go to Crimea anymore! "
I wish you all pleasant travels and bright impressions! : )
