He rested in the Military sanatorium "Sudak" from May 17 to June 6.2018, together with his wife. The stay left a mixed impression.
Transfer - from the new airport of Simferopol I got to Sudak by taxi. Googling on the Internet, I found the site sipaerotaxi. ru with an offer to get to Sudak for 1590 rubles, which at that time was probably the most economical offer.
The territory is large, 22 hectares, with many different trees and shrubs, mostly conifers, from which a healing coniferous smell emanates. I liked the abundance of constantly singing birds. There are many paved paths, where you can walk and sit on a bench.

Buildings - not seen repair for a long time. In the era of Crimea's belonging to Ukraine, funds for the repair and maintenance of the sanatorium (according to employees) were not allocated at all. As a result, the roofs of buildings began to leak, there were fewer vacationers, furniture and equipment fell into disrepair. At present, the huge club and sports complex are closed, the pool is closed. But repairs have begun, there is hope for their restoration. Of the 7 residential buildings with a total capacity of 1200 people, only 2 are working, in which about 150 people lived during my stay. A huge 8-storey once residential building in the center of the sanatorium is closed from shame with a camouflage net, because. The building has fallen into disrepair, stands with broken windows. The issue of the possibility of its restoration or its demolition is being decided - the building has collapsed so much during the period of "independence". Of the 2 canteens, only one is working, this canteen is being renovated.
The number of rooms - most of the rooms in building 6, where we lived, have not seen repairs for a long time. The shower room is complete rubbish. Even a polyethylene curtain had to be hung on 3 rings in the form of a chain so that water would not flow onto the floor outside the pallet. The only plastic shelf in the shower room barely supported the weight of a bar of soap and 2 shampoos. The toilet room with a sink is a complete horror: both the sink and the toilet bowl and the glass shelf above the sink and the mirror are dirty. Part of the tile on the floor is painted over with brown paint. The doors are shabby and peeling, have not seen paint for a long time, the door locks have been replaced many times. The toilet brush is all dirty. It's disgusting to take it in your hands. No toilet paper holder. Standard room has 2 new iron single beds with plywood base and foam mattress. It was hard to sleep. The room has a small refrigerator and an imported color TV with a 37 cm diagonal ray tube. The TV is set to receive about 60 satellite channels in Russian. From the room there is access to the loggia, where a rope is stretched for drying towels and linen. The floor in the room is parquet, varnished, creaky when walking. Standard rooms face the sea, single rooms and double rooms face the park. Rooms in bedroom building 1 have been refurbished and air-conditioned. The rooms of the dormitory building 6 have not been renovated for a long time, there are no air conditioners, except for a few rooms where the renovation was.
Bed linen and towels were changed once a week by the guests themselves. There are 2 bath towels and 2 facial towels in the room.
No hair dryer, iron and ironing board - common on the 1st floor. If necessary, you can take an electric kettle from the duty officer on the 1st floor. 2 glasses and 1 plate in the room.
Cleaning in the room was reduced to washing the floor and taking out the trash. The cleaners are all women of deep retirement age.

Meals - three meals a day.
Standard breakfast: every day 1 egg (boiled or in the form of an omelette), milk porridge (semolina, rice, oatmeal, barley, millet), the second hot dish in the form of 2 sausages with a side dish. The sausages were periodically replaced with tiny pieces of beef or chicken. Next - a piece of butter, 2 cups of half-smoked sausage or half a cup of boiled sausage, a choice of bad tea and disgusting coffee with milk.
Lunch - a salad of boiled vegetables, vinaigrette, cabbage with carrots, sometimes there were fresh cucumbers and tomatoes, often instead of a salad there was a herring with onions. Next - soup, the second course in the form of a tiny piece of meat with a side dish, dried fruit compote and packaged juice. In conclusion - a fruit: an orange or an apple or occasionally a banana.
Dinner - again a salad and a hot dish in the form of a tiny piece of bony fish or meat with a side dish. This is followed by tea, cottage cheese casserole (almost every day), butter, a tiny piece of cheese, 1 cookie or one and a half waffles and about 150 ml of good kefir.
In general, the food is good, high-calorie enough, but lovers of meat and fish will have a hard time. There is no food ordering system, everyone is served the same food except for diabetics. The waitresses do their best to deliver the food quickly, you don't have to wait long.
Treatment - is prescribed according to the profile of the disease in the form of courses of physiotherapy and physiotherapy exercises. Purchased new modern equipment. The doctors and nurses are working hard. Thank them for this.

Leisure - during the week, the administration of the sanatorium organizes excursions to the Solnechnaya Dolina winery near Sudak with a visit to the cellars and a tasting of 11 wines at a price of 550 rubles per person. Then a trip to the sparkling wine factory in the village of Novy Svet near Sudak is offered for 600 rubles per person, including product tasting. Further, a free trip to the New World on the Golitsyn trail and an excursion to the Toplovsky Convent with a donation of 150 rubles are offered. Tours are repeated next week.
Going outside the sanatorium, you can find a lot of offers for excursions to all the famous places of Crimea, including a trip along the Crimean bridge and the superbly preserved Genoese fortress near Sudak.
Since the club is closed, there are no movies, dances and other things. There is a small library.
In Sudak there is a beautiful long embankment, paved with granite, with beautiful lanterns and a lot of benches. There are many shops, canteens, snack bars, wineries, amusement parks for children and adults on Cypress Alley. There is a place to buy souvenirs and everything you need. A brass band played, an ensemble of electric musical instruments. Many offers to take pictures with a monkey, an eagle, a hamster, artists dressed in horse costumes. Children can ride a pony or a donkey. Lots of places to rent trendy segways.
On the territory of the resort there is a large tennis court in good condition.
In bedroom building 1 there is a large billiards and table tennis.
Internet - via Wi-Fi in the halls of each floor and in the medical building. There is no wifi in the rooms.
Communication - SIM cards from MTS work. Megafon, Beeline and Tele 2 do not work. Although Crimea became part of Russia, there is roaming. Incoming calls at a price of 2 rubles / minute, outgoing calls to MTS and all SMS - 4 rubles / minute / piece. Mobile Internet access is quite expensive. That's why I used wifi.
Bank cards - in Sudak almost nowhere are accepted, with rare exceptions. Have cash.

The sea and the beach - the resort is located right on the seashore, but there is no separate beach. All beaches are municipal, free, but in May and early June there were no sunbeds and umbrellas (or awnings). They appeared later at a price of 100 rubles for a plastic sunbed without a mattress per day. But what is important - they were offered far from the entrance to the sanatorium. The beach strip is of variable width from 5 to 30 meters, but long - about 2 km. You can always find a place. There are cabanas on the beach. There are no souls. The sea is clean and salty. Sometimes jellyfish appeared in the water, but they are harmless, do not sting. The beach is sandy with pebbles, the entrance to the sea is gentle, there are large stones. The water temperature rose from 17 degrees in May to 20 in early June.
There are entertainment in the form of water bike rentals, banana rides, parasailing, boating, speedboats, etc.
The winds are constantly blowing, sometimes weak, sometimes stronger. The air temperature during the day reached 23-24 degrees in the shade. In the evening, after sunset, it immediately becomes cool, the wind almost always blows, so the presence of a windbreaker or jacket is a must.
Here, it seems, all the most important described.
