June holidays in Crimea
Since we are now choosing a place for a summer vacation, focusing on the reviews, I decided to write a review on my last year's vacation. We rested together with my husband in the Crimea, Sudak, the hotel "Scarlet Sails" in the second half of June 2012.
I really liked the hotel, everything is clean, well maintained, beautiful. The owners are intelligent people. In terms of organization, everything is very clear. There were no interruptions in tap water. Breakfast and dinner at the hotel; breakfasts are modest, lunches are good.
The city did not produce the impression of grooming. We went to the beach early in the morning (10 minutes walk) along the Cypress Alley, where many cafes and entertainment venues are concentrated. Every day we witnessed the "cleaning" of the street: the cleaners broke the paving slabs, raising dust. After the crowds of vacationers, a more serious cleaning was clearly required. At the beginning of the alley, the road is broken, no one has repaired it.
The water in the sea is very clear, but we found such a phenomenon that we read about before the trip: upon arrival, the water temperature was 23 degrees, the next morning - 13, then two days - 16. And only by the end of our stay the water warmed up to 23 degrees. In the neighboring village of Novy Svet, the sea at that time was warmer.
Excursions: we visited the Genoese fortress (Sudak), on a boat excursion Nikitsky Botanical Garden-Alupka Palace-Yalta. Solid race, you have to visit one thing. Landscapes in Crimea are beautiful! There were a lot of good photos. The Aivazovsky Museum in Feodosia made a great impression. Thanks to Aivazovsky and the museum staff!
