The hotel was chosen mainly on the basis of reviews on the Internet. On vacation, I wanted peace and quiet, birds singing in the mornings and evenings (the parks of the Crimea are famous for this, and the hotel is located in the pack zone). I also wanted to be able to swim and sunbathe in May, while it is still not very warm. Rested from 10 to 18 May.
We were greeted by the sound of a working hammer drill as soon as we got out of the taxi. And this is during the season, which is advertised as "high" on the hotel's website. At the reception, the administrator assured that the repair work is carried out only in the daytime (in practice - from 8:00 to 20:00...... ). The room was booked so there was no choice. True, we were settled away from the repair, but for three days they still interfered with us and we were not able to rest in silence during the day. At the end of the stay, I was able to briefly describe the hotel as "restless". If you are looking for silence, this is not the place for you.
In short, what do you like:

The staff that we met are attentive, pleasant people. The breakfasts are very good, from quality products, you will not stay hungry - that's for sure. In principle, you can choose from the proposed dishes different menus for 5 days. If you have a strict diet, you will still find acceptable dishes for yourself (there is a diet table). I liked the chic balconies overlooking Yalta and the sea, which are not visible if you are on the upper floors, so you can safely sunbathe as you like. Nice swimming pool with excellent water, towels are issued to vacationers for free. The children's pool is also very good. Nice clean beach with sunbeds and umbrellas. What is important - the elevators and the underground passage to the beach after renovation, spacious and clean. A large green area (old park) where you can take a walk, exercise, just sit on a bench and listen to the birds singing.
What did not like:
The attitude of the hotel management towards guests who have already paid for their stay at the hotel. I mean 12 hours of repair work with the roar of rock drills, the sound of hammers and stinking paint. In my opinion, this is an extreme disrespect for hotel guests to carry out such repairs, especially in the "high" season, when prices are highest. It is possible in winter (the hotel is year-round) to repair rooms (in one wing, then in the other), wisely settling guests.
The hotel has very poor soundproofing, especially in the bathrooms. Disgustingly old doors in the rooms with wobbly locks, through which you can hear everything that happens in the corridor. God forbid you have many neighbors. . . Some rooms stink of sewage. We were moved from this room upon request. There are no non-smoking signs anywhere in the hotel other than the pool and restaurants. Smoking is rampant on the balconies. Sometimes it is not possible to open the balcony because of the smoke.
If you want quieter rooms, it is better to choose a wing closer to the sea (with a city view or not). Rooms overlooking the pool will be very noisy. there is always loud music playing near the pool.
In general, if we discard the negative received from the ongoing renovation, then the hotel is not bad, but leaves much to be desired, given the money it costs to stay in it.
