A farm where everyone is truly welcome.
If they tell you, but let's go to the Savki farm, then do not hesitate to agree. And, it will be even better, on a free day off, go yourself. There is no such thing anywhere!
But I will tell you about my acquaintance with the farm in order.
On the day off, we decided to go out into nature, but not just barbecue and so on. And to be informative. And having driven only 21 km from Kyiv, we arrived in Novo Petrivtsi. We are already at the farm. The spectacle is incredible: there are huts. Yes, so well-groomed, beautiful and alive. Yes, yes, exactly like that. There are curtains on the windows, where there are decanters with liqueur, flowers.
In the yard there are beds, flowers sprout. The trees are all fruit, in some places and tags with names. Silence, only the birds sing. So the owner comes out, krasnki in the basket. So, they are waiting for us, but we arrived earlier. But we see that we are glad and the conversation begins. The story of Pan Savka flows like a stream, like a tale. And so interesting….
Pan Savka, a native of this village, has been collecting antiquities all his life. He stored the collected rarities in his mother's house under the roof of the house. Even relatives laughed that the ceiling would collapse from the gravity. But he survived nothing, and one fine day there was an opportunity to buy an old hut. This is where the life of the farm began. The hut was very old, built in 1786, and in a very deplorable state. The whole family unanimously undertook its restoration and now it pleases visitors.
Pana Savka's son joins us. Red boy. Like his father, he willingly answers questions and shows exhibits. And there is something to look at. Here is a forge, mill wheels, a loom, a spindle, evidence... And I saw such a plow only in a textbook, but here is a real one. And how many dishes..... And all this is 18-19 centuries.
But the time came and the hut was too small. But by chance, Pan Savka learned that there was another hut. And together with his son he went in search.
Here she is. This is not a hut, but a manor and was built in 1854. Rumor has it that it belonged to the Stretovich family. It was completely dismantled and transported from the village of Meleny, Korostensky district, Zhytomyr region. Since this is a noble estate, everything is twice as large as usual, both the rooms and the room. And in the house the stoves are heated, there are smells from the stove..... But this is later.
And now. During the story, we did not notice how a whole bunch of people had gathered. And among them there are Americans. Where there! After all, we not only listened, but also checked the exhibits in work. In the meantime, both the wife and daughter of Pan Savka (now he is already the headman) are engaged in housekeeping.
Having examined everything, we gathered in a clearing and the owners treated us to herbal tea and Easter. Yes, all under the stories. Do you know how many flowers they baked Easter? That's it, I didn't know either. It turns out three - yellow, white and black. Do you know how to color paint? Please come home and study.
What is a holiday without songs, round dances and fun? Girls, guys sing so that their legs dance on their own. Everyone started to dance eagerly.
Will the guests be allowed to leave without being fed? And now the hostesses are carrying plates and inviting to the table. Here is the smell! The smell of roast from the oven! Roast with meat! It melts in your mouth…. . And the pickled cucumber… Yes, and boiled pork with black blood…. . How to describe it? It needs to be eaten. Having washed down everything with a uzvar and with displeasure that everything is over, we crawl out from behind the table.
Even though I said that everything ended it is not right. The Easter holiday is over. It is necessary and possible to come here any day, as the traditions of Ukrainian life are honored here. But our people with a long history. Each season is marked by its own holidays and traditions. Thank you pan Savka for the existence of this farm. Thank you for the hospitality and warmth of your entire family. Truly thank you!
