Western Ukraine, car, four friends, four days and May.
So many holidays and days off without a trip? Of course not! No sooner said than done, i. e. things in the car and on the road!
This May Day is rich in weekends and in order not to lose such an opportunity, our company went to Western Ukraine.
We left Kyiv along the Zhytomyr highway at dawn. The weather is not encouraging, but we joke that perhaps everything is not so bad: “Rain at the beginning of the journey promises good luck. ” Luck really was, but the rain and gloomy sky were our companions almost all the way.
Our path to the West ran through Zhytomyr, Ternopil, Rivne, Lvov, Transcarpathian regions. Since the travelers are experienced, the roads were not always chosen as the main ones, but in order to see the outback.
I will describe what especially remained in memory.
At dawn we drove into Zhitomir. The city was still asleep, and the city was shrouded in mist. On the eve of May 9, we decided to visit the Monument of Glory and the Eternal Flame. Silence... Only the noise is heard from the dam located not far away.
And again on the road.
Passing through the Ternopil region, it is impossible not to visit the Holy Spirit Skete, located 4 km from the Pochaev Lavra. And despite the fact that we were already here a couple of months ago, this place fascinates and one feels how a state of peace and balance comes. There are three churches on the territory: the Holy Spirit, St. Seraphim of Sarov and All Saints. Restoration work continues. The skete is also striking in its shrines: the world's first temple in the name of St. Seraphim of Sarov, the face of St. Methodius, the founder of the monastery, the miraculous Image of the Virgin, called the Quick Hearer.
And again the road to the West. Here is the Lviv region. Our goal is the city of Morshyn. It interests me especially, since the doctors recommended me to treat our “national” choleretic disease here in Morshinkurort. We are in place.
The name Morshin, according to one version, comes from the name of the tenant of local salt pans, Peter Morshin, and was first mentioned in documents of the 14th century. Officially, the Morshyn resort was opened in May 1878.
The area is picturesque - on one side it is mountainous, covered with dense forest, and on the other side it is flat. Between them flows the river Bereznitsa. The sanatorium complex Morshinkurort itself is located separately from the residential part. The structure includes the sanatoriums "Perlyna Prykarpattya", "Lavender", "Dniester", "Cheremosh" and "Svitanok". You walk around the territory and feel like you are in a fairy tale. Buildings no higher than 9 floors between which are delicate green grass and flowers. The public marches importantly and fulfills the prescriptions of the doctors. Here is a diagnostic and treatment center, and a balneary (as many as 88 types of procedures! ), And springs with mineral water, and food from 12 diets in the dining room. The pump room occupies the dominant place in the sanatorium. Because the success in recovery depends on the strict implementation of the prescriptions of doctors for drinking water! After all, Morshinsky mineral water springs are unique - they are an excellent and effective way to treat diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. Due to the choleretic, diuretic, relaxing effect of mineral water, the body is cleansed, radionuclides are eliminated, the acid-forming function of the stomach is normalized, and the immune status is increased. And after completing all the procedures, we return to the building. There are both single and double rooms. The rooms are very cozy and comfortable to stay. Air conditioning and heater, refrigerator and TV, dishes and round the clock hot water. In conclusion, I would like to say that everything in Morshyn is compact and modern, everything is organized for the convenience of patients. And the natural factors of Morshyn have a beneficial effect on cardiological patients, on patients suffering from diseases of the nervous and bronchopulmonary systems.
And most importantly. Prices for treatment in general are affordable for Ukrainians with different incomes. After inquiring in the accounting department, they found out that the prices for vouchers have been stable for several years. Thanks to Morshinkurort that it is not a business interest that is at the head, but attention to a person and his treatment is taken as the basis.
But Morshyn is the foothills of the Carpathians and now we are waiting for a passage through the Uzhoksky pass. By the way, the pass is the lowest and most accessible place in the crest of a mountain range, usually between neighboring river valleys.
So, in the upper reaches of the rivers Uzha and Syan, at an altitude of 889 m, there is the Uzhoksky Pass, through which the railway and the highway that connects Uzhgorod and Sambir pass. The pass separates the Lviv and Transcarpathian regions.
Yes, it is a pity that we are haunted by fog and rain. What beautiful mountains and valleys open from a height!!!!
