I learned about the village of Verkhniy Shvydky and its miraculous healing water from the Internet. I wanted to go there. My friend and I went first to Lviv, then by train to Volovets station, and then by accompanying cars, because we arrived in the evening and the buses no longer went. To the village. I have never had a head-to-foot massage for 80 hryvnias so efficiently and effectively. 20 years ago, people in the village were treated in the local sanatorium "Menchul", now in its place are ruins and only a spring with healing water pleases, and his old baths were adapted by the Forestry. And then young Lesya worked in it as a masseuse. She now has many clients, both vacationers and locals.
The weather here is not constant, then rain, then sun, then hot, cold.
We walked a lot in the village, in the mountains, gathered herbs, ate strawberries, raspberries, bought dried white mushrooms from neighbors. We sunbathe, once bathed in a healing spring with stormy cool water. Then it got cold, unfortunately, and waited.
Nature here is very beautiful, the air is delicious, clean. Blueberries were bought from local children for ridiculous money. Sitting on a swing bench, they admired the changing view of the mountains. By the way, the complete absence of mosquitoes struck. Rest in the village is monotonous, quiet. There are no restaurants and other entertainment, the Internet is also unstable, we can say that it is not. It remained to be treated, walk a lot, eat goodies and sleep a lot.
We went on an excursion to Lake Synevyr and the rehabilitation center for bears. It is useless to tell, you have to see this beauty for yourself.
Many people come to Kalina for the first time, often in their cars, including from abroad, fry kebabs, drink wine in beautiful wooden gazebos and, of course, take baths.
What can be said about the negative moments? This is a large number of noisy sawmills and the complete absence of roads in the village, and the route around the village is a strip of obstacles from the pits. In general, I liked the rest. Back to Lviv we went by bus Tyachiv-Lviv. I do not advise those who go without a car, like us, to get to the village from the station. Irpen. Better and cheaper by bus from Lviv.
