In recent years, more and more information appears about increased injuries and deaths on the downhill slopes of Bukovel. Many vacationers of ski resorts do not even realize how low the level of security is on the slopes in Western Ukraine. There are no exact statistics, and all deaths are recorded in neighboring cities, injuries are not counted, and many incidents of safety violations on the slopes remain unrecorded.
So in our situation - a fatal accident on the ski slope last year remained somehow strangely unaccounted for, the criminal case initiated by the local prosecutor was closed a few days later without any reason, and a certificate from the police was not issued, since allegedly this was not really the case at all.
When talking with the mortuary workers, we were told that there were already 47 deaths at the end of 2010. . . And how many were there in 2009? And how much more can it be?
We also know that the owners of the ski resort have a strong influence not only in local politics, but also at the state level. BUT! If there are many of us, and we will be together, then believe me, it will be much easier to talk about it!
Our hard experience makes us not keep silent about it. We have already collected 6 deaths on the same slope. We also collect cases of injuries in order to create a commission to investigate the negligence of the resort management, which is silent about the problems on the slopes and does not organize safe skiing for tourists.
We ask you not to hush up the cases of injuries and deaths that occurred on the slopes of Bukovel, and share information. Any information will help us. After all, if we keep silent, then no one will know what awaits the visitor to the mountain slope, and how it is possible to prevent the death of a neighbor on the ski slope. Because it can affect anyone. . .
