We were meticulous in choosing a place to stay, studied the reviews, and opted for the estate "U Matveya" in Mukachevo. Reality exceeded all expectations! We not only had a good rest in the estate itself, but also fell in love with this region! We steamed in vats on the bank of a mountain river, cooling in it; had fun in "Dece at the Notary's"; walked along Berehove, swam in the thermal pool; tasting wine to the colorful stories of wine grower Yuriy Parazka (I liked the "ice" wine the most! ); celebrated Christmas in the Rusyn village of Rostock, where there were carols of rural children, and fragrant bograch - shepherd's soup - cooked on a fire, and a sleigh ride along the road between twilight (the Christmas tree in Transcarpathia is called smereka) under the snow to the waterfall; visited the castles of Palanok and St. Nicholas, the hunting castle of Count Shenborn, learning not only historical facts, but also beautiful legends of this region. . . How did you manage so much in 4 days? Only thanks to the thoughtful excursion routes offered by Desider and Oksana, the owners of the estate, named after their son Matvey. The house where we were placed is cozy, conveniently located, equipped with everything necessary for living. The hosts, nice people, with an open mind, met and welcomed us as relatives. The fact that our vacation was a success is their great merit! For which low bow to them and sincere gratitude! May good luck not leave you, dear ones! Elena, Alexander, Tatyana.
