Were with friends met there NG. We knew that we were overpaying for a room (100 bucks for a 2nd room for a downtrodden village - the price is rather big, even in NG). We were prepared for the fact that the Carpathian "service" is far from what we saw last year in Slovakia. But when at the entrance you are greeted by frank rudeness and rudeness of the administrator (accompanying the whole holiday! ) - the impression was already hopelessly spoiled...
The administrator (who, in theory, was supposed to be at the reception) was almost never there. When we checked in, they didn’t bother to tell us where to look for it in case something happened (when I needed it, I had to resort to the help of waitresses from a cafe on the territory, fortunately, they were normal there, they helped to find it). Daily housekeeping included only taking out the trash and mopping the floors. For $100, they could still make the bed, wash and put glasses in their place, etc.
Room: nothing in appearance, new renovation, furniture... everything is new, in short. Norm. beds, metal-plastic windows, TV with a bunch of cable channels; shower-toilet with boiler.

Minus: no refrigerator; When we moved in, our hot water faucet was not working. True, when we told about it, they fixed it on the same day. A very big minus - catastrophic audibility! I don’t know what the walls are made of, probably, all the internal ones are drywall. And the doors are thin. This is a particularly significant disadvantage when in the evening (after skating) you want to relax and take a nap, and this is impossible to do because of the noise in the corridor, because all the steps, voices and slamming of doors are perceived as if you have a crowd of people in your room . Well, or when the snoring of a neighbor behind the wall prevents you from falling asleep at night - it’s also not pleasant enough... A kind of variant of the “hostel of Berthold Schwartz”.
Another disadvantage for those who arrive by car is poor parking. Small and with a high curb.
Breakfast (included in the room price) - of course, not a buffet : ) In the best Soviet tradition, you are served strictly one slice of bread, strictly 2 slices of sausage or cheese, 1 fruit (apple, orange or banana), oatmeal / milk rice and some thread of pasta or mashed potatoes with a cutlet or sausage. Maybe pancakes. In short, not so hot. Although the men were fine.
Although the hotel is designed mainly for skiers, there are no special conditions for storing skis and equipment. No lockers or rooms downstairs, not even any place to store them in the room (we used to walk all this up to the 3rd floor daily). The fact that skis and boots brought from the street will thaw and flow straight to the floor is absolutely ill-conceived. And there is nowhere to put them in the room, in the prinitspe, we put them on the aisle, although this made it difficult to walk and open the doors.
But still, the main drawback - I repeat - the rudeness of the administration. When you are rude for that kind of money and consider it the norm, then the festive and relaxing mood disappears by itself. I haven't experienced so much negativity to rest for a long time. In general, for many moments and shortcomings one could close one's eyes if it weren't for this. This attitude ruined my whole holiday.
P. S. when we were there, the lift near the base did not work due to the small amount of snow.
