In early July, after reading reviews, booked this hotel. We arrived on Sunday. So, the first thing that alerted the hotel is just on the road, no more than 50 meters. All basic life is in full swing on the other side, as well as water clinics and everything else. Small hall, reception desk - and incredible stuffiness. Interior design - with a claim to pomposity, porcelain stoneware flooring, heavy vinyl wallpaper. The girl at the reception immediately asks to pay for 11 days in advance. Our room is on the 4th floor, the girl tells us. We follow her with a mountain of things and a 3-month-old baby in our arms up the stairs. The staff of the hotel escorts us with a look of indifference. No one offers to take even a package or a bag. On a stuffy hot staircase we get into the same hot corridor with the same vinyl wallpaper. Well, we think, nothing now, let's go into the long-awaited coolness. The door opens (by the way, with an electronic key) - and a stream of hot air blows on us, mixed with the smell of plastic. We go into the room, frantically looking for a remote control from the air conditioner - it was not there. The girl's dry comment "we have air conditioners only in suites, and you have a junior suite. " When asked if it is possible to change the room (we have a child of 3 months), at least on the non-sunny side, an indifferent answer follows - "everything else is busy. " No emotions, no attempts to offer at least a fan (until we ourselves asked). From the window, a view of the track, not so minor, as stated in the reviews. To my remark, how can one claim 4 stars without air conditioning and an elevator (with 4 floors + technical floor) the answer follows - "why did you get the idea that we have 4 stars. " The decision came instantly - to find another hotel, we will leave an advance payment of 1600 UAH to Fantasia.
The bottom line is: 1) the worst location compared to other hotels, 2) the only hotel in Polyana that is not equipped with air conditioning, 3) the absolute indifference of the staff, 4) a very small area, probably the site was allocated for a gas station or a garden. Before poking around here - check out other hotels (Solva, Solnechnaya Polyana, Solnechnaya Dolina, Vodogray) - here you will be truly welcome.
