After reading the previous reviews, I could not comment on them (from my own bell tower, of course) and add my impressions. I must say right away, firstly, as you know, there is no comrade for taste and color; and secondly, every person has the right to his own opinion, even if sometimes it goes against the majority of opinions. Therefore, do not be offended by the authors of previous reviews with which I do not agree, just as I will not be offended by possible objections to my review.
Here is the story of my journey to Solnechnaya Polyana. For the autumn school holidays, I decided to drink mineral water with my youngest son, 9 years old. For medical reasons, Polyana Kvasova water suits both me and my son. Remembering the impressions of 26 years ago, when my mother and I were vacationing on a trade union ticket in "Sunny Transcarpathia", looking at the photos of the sanatorium and prices, listening to the staff's reviews about the rooms and food....I firmly decided that I should pay my earned money for "this" I won't. After searching for a day or two on the Internet, calling some hotels, I stopped at "Solnechnaya Polyana".
Having paid an advance payment of 2000 UAH (out of 4160 UAH) in Kyiv, I bought a train ticket and. . . 10 days of happiness. . .

Here we are in Svalyava. It's drizzling. Taxi drivers are annoying. An empty minibus for 3.5 UAH per person, 30 minutes and here we are in Sunny Transcarpathia. Yes, the roads, as written in one of the previous reviews, are front-line. But this fact does not scare me and I boldly roll my suitcase on wheels to Solnechnaya Polyana, 10 minutes walk through the sanatorium "Sunny Transcarpathia" and here it is happiness . . exactly repeating the photo from the Internet.
Saturday, day off, no one at the reception. I find a living one - this is a guard. Asks for a surname, I call, in response - your number 11, go through and help bring the bag to the second floor to the room. I am trying to present the documents and find out where I can now pay the remaining 2160 UAH. In response, this is all on Monday, when the accounting department will work....I am pleasantly surprised.
Our attic junior suite fully satisfied my needs. Clean, comfortable, warm, carpet on the floor, satellite TV, air conditioning, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, kettle, fan, clothes dryer, 3 towels per person, bathroom with mineral water... everything was as promised and as it looked on a photo.
The food is excellent, varied, dietary and at the same time tasty. Massage included in the price, however, only on weekdays (but in my opinion everywhere) we received. A pump room with mineral water in the hotel (it's very cool, I went out in the morning before breakfast in slippers and a bathrobe, got some water, in any weather). The staff is friendly, as if not in Ukraine, "smiles and waves", I don't even know who trained them like that.
In the next 10 days we had a wonderful rest. The weather was sunny and warm. We visited the doctor, but refused the procedures (by the way, if you take a course in Sunny Transcarpathia from the side, it is more expensive than for those living in Solnechnaya Polyana). We drank water, took baths, breathed air, wandered through the mountains (we didn’t go on excursions, since everyone had already traveled around)... and suddenly....swine flu. We watch the news, we call home . . horror . . BUT EVERYTHING IS QUIET AND COMFORTABLE AROUND.
This is where the vacation came to an end. Dry rations were collected for us on the way... Station in Svalyava....gypsies, a call to the police (there are no gypsies at the station)....train... conductors in gauze bandages (funny)... Kyiv... extension quarantine.

I persuade my mother, I pay, and after 5 days I send my grandmother with two grandchildren for 2 weeks again to Solnechnaya Polyana... in Transcarpathia... to the epicenter of swine flu....Another wonderful vacation. At this time, my relatives were the only vacationers in the hotel (the rest, apparently, got scared).
As a result.
Yes, there are no discos and restaurants. Yes, dumb. But... for this peace, fresh air, virgin nature, healing mineral water, we - residents of megacities - should go.
Mineral water treatment and a restaurant are, in my opinion, incompatible things, so I did not feel discomfort from the lack of restaurants and cafes.
I really want to go back to Solnechnaya Polyana again. Thanks to this hotel for the European service in UKRAINE.
