I would like to share my impressions of visiting the hotel Edelweiss, Shayan, Transcarpathian region. In the old fashioned way, I will evaluate according to five criteria:
1) Quality of service, staff attitude;
2) Location of the room and the room itself;
3) Nutrition;
4) The territory of the hotel;
5) The village of Shayan.
Further, we will go through each item in detail and I consider my opinion to be extremely adequate.
First.
We started our trip on June 22, we left early, because the road on our autobahns takes 15 hours. After spending the night with relatives, on June 24th we had a room reservation. We rested on the 29th. We visit this hotel for the second time, so we are already familiar with the staff and we were received good-naturedly. At 12:00 our room was already waiting for us, and we settled in.
Second.
At my request, we were placed on the third floor in a standard room (I will say right away that there is not enough air conditioning in the room). The room itself, already a little tired, but the cost of living at 500 UAH per room, blocked all the minuses. In the middle of the vacation, the light bulb in the restroom burned out, I went down to the reception, asked to sort it out, and already within 10 minutes, the light was on again. We really liked the view from the window, even if it's not a view from the mountain to the mountains, but for the city and the forest it's a joy.
The third.
The hotel offers three meals a day, but we decided that it is best to order on our own and according to our mood. The food here is delicious and the prices are not high. Every morning I ordered oatmeal with milk (UAH 25.1 serving), my wife ordered an omelette or scrambled eggs (UAH 35-50.1 serving).
Fourth.
The territory of the hotel is quite modest, there is not enough pool! ! On the territory there is a small mountain stream, a gazebo and a barbecue grill. Everything is modest and cozy.
Fifth.
The last time we were here was in 2016. Since then, the village has not been slightly upset and to this day it costs, which interferes a little and causes minor inconvenience. The water in the pump room is paid, the pool which at the entrance costs 100 UAH for 2 hours. He also does not advise going to the lake, there is nothing good there, since there are no special entertainments in Shayan. Quiet and relaxing rest of the soul and body.
Let me summarize a little.
I would like to express my gratitude to the staff of the hotel for a good stay! ! The hotel is not bad and worth the money! Also, I want to recommend a trip to: a deer farm, a buffalo farm, Shipit waterfall, Khust castle, Synevyr.
Alas, I forgot to take pictures of the hotel itself, but my adequate assessment of the hotel is 4/5.

Daily cleaning. The staff responded to all our requests. Administrator Andrian is caring and polite. Thank you all very much. We hope to come. I would like to wish the chefs to improve their cooking, they had to use Mezym-forte and charcoal. Everything else is perfect.

We chose the hotel via the Internet, many did not expect, because the hotel is budget. However, the expected air conditioning was not in the room, and in the soul - a terrible fungus. The smell in the bathroom is bad. The service in the restaurant is poor: they refused to bring ice cream, although it was on the menu.

The cafe in the hotel is quite affordable, we ate there a couple of times, everything except the cabbage rolls was delicious (I especially liked the pancakes! ), The girls and women cooks are very nice people. BUT, you need to go to Shayan by car, and not for entertainment. Feel free to leave your weekend dresses with shoes at home, Shayan is a beautiful, mountainous VILLAGE. And the car helps to spice up a rather quiet holiday in Shayan. In the area of .10-30 km there is a deer farm, the village of sirovarnya, Mukachevo with its wonderful castle, Velyatino with thermal pools . .

The purpose of the trip was to improve health in the sanatorium, but after reading the reviews about the Shayan sanatorium and looking at the pictures, we decided that it was better to live in a hotel and take the procedures in the sanatorium. The hotel is located 1.5 -2 km. from the sanatorium, but in the morning 15 minutes in the fresh air and on a straight road (not uphill) it’s comfortable to walk (although we didn’t get into the rain). We had a room on the 3rd floor, a junior suite, the room had everything you need, an iron and a hairdryer must be taken at the reception. Cafe on the 1st floor, they cook deliciously, and on the menu and on order, they even bake a cake if you order. There were no interruptions in water supply, and also in electricity. The furniture is standard and in good condition.

My husband and I rested at the Edelweiss Hotel in May 2013. A wonderful hotel, affordable prices for the middle class, very pleasant staff. The rooms were cleaned every day. The food in the hotel cafe is delicious, the portions are large, we ate half a serving. The room has all plumbing and electronic equipment in good condition.
