Unhospitable and simply inadequate

I wanted to rent a cottage in Svyatoslav for a vacation with a small child and decided to first stop by to look at the hotel (why take the risk of immediately settling in with a baby if I live nearby - in Lviv).
I drove up to Svyatoslav and politely, in perfect Ukrainian, explained to the administrator (or I don’t know who the female employee at the entrance was) that I was thinking of renting a room from them in the summer and asked permission to see the territory. I received a categorical refusal to let me in until I order at least tea or coffee in their restaurant.
I thought that they did not understand me and explained again that I was going to rent a room, and not out of idle interest I want to look. There is only one answer - order at least something in a restaurant and then look. But I no longer saw the point of watching something, because such an attitude towards guests is unacceptable.
It is a pity that such people and institutions can judge the hospitality of all Ukrainians. Shame on you, Svyatoslav!
