Unusual New Year
We were in the Carpathians for the first time... so absolutely everything was unusual and critically evaluated : )
Let's start with the fact that nothing in Slavske or directly in the place where we lived did not cause sharp criticism from our side. Everything is pretty nice. Let's say modestly, but tastefully.
Slavske itself is a rather large tourist-oriented village. . . ie. almost everything is for sale. If you want housing - no problem, equipment - also not a question.
But it all starts, of course, with the road. We decided to go from Lviv by minibus and miscalculated a little....because. transport had to be changed 2 times (our minibus traveled only half the distance we needed... then - by bus - and this is terrible in conditions of 20-degree frost... brrr..... It is better, of course, to go by train (the road is in any of of the above types of transport from Lviv to the destination took 4 hours, but the train is much cheaper, more comfortable and safer)
As for housing, we prepared in advance (no, we didn’t book anything, but simply printed out the addresses and phone numbers), and upon arrival we sat down in a cafe and called. . . After about 20 minutes, the owner came for us and took us directly to our new place of residence ! I really liked the house! The house is a 3-storey modern cottage (2 residential floors and one utility). We lived on the second. Spacious furnished room with satellite TV. Facilities were on the floor. We ate there 2 times a day (the hostess cooked - it was very tasty and always enough : ).
In Slavske, as I understand it, there are 3 mountains intended for descent. They are of different difficulty levels. We, as beginners, rode the Polytech (the easiest - 5 gr. ) and FMI (1200m - 6 gr. ). The lifts are drag-and-drop, so please be patient. There is also Mount Trostyan - they say it is more difficult (I have not been). And Zakhar Berkut - everything is new (and expensive). It is believed that it is better for beginners not to meddle there. But there are sooooo many people there and one-time descents are impossible there - only by subscription (more than 100 gr. per day). As for the equipment, don't worry - there are sooo many of them - of different quality and prices, respectively : )... We met from 40 gr. up to 80, it seems (per day). There are discounts (from 3 days). It is not difficult to get to the ski lifts - if only there was money (the local population does not hesitate to earn money on this - we met 35 gr. from a brow for 2 km !!! ) The owner gave us a lift for 5 gr. per person one way (i. e. 20 grams per day for two).
I want to note that we rested in the season itself! later and a little earlier, I think the prices will differ. . . and significantly : )
In general, I want to say that our vacation was a great success! And I would go back there with great pleasure!
.... I hope this information will help at least someone with something. when I was looking for a similar one, I literally clung to everything, tk. I simply did not want to spoil my holidays with domestic inconveniences... or something else!
