We returned from vacation a couple of days ago. The village of Ust-Chernaya attracted us with beautiful scenery, affordable housing and food prices, and local flavor.
So:
1. Road. I had to go by train to Lvov, from there, also by train, to Tyachev, then by minibus to Dubovoy and from there by car to Ust-Chernaya. The whole journey took about 40 hours. Yes, it’s hard, but we had the opportunity to walk around Lviv and Tyachev (the latter was pleasantly surprised by its cleanliness and European architecture).
2. Housing. We had a cozy room with a large comfortable bed and two bedside tables. You can eat in the dining room or on the terrace overlooking the mountains. The bathroom, shared by two rooms, is very spacious with a shower cabin, a bathtub and a washbasin. Hot water is always available (boiler). By the way, spring water flows from the tap, it is not only possible to drink it, but also necessary.

3. Nutrition. In principle, you can cook yourself (there is all the equipment for this), or eat at a local cafe. But if you try how the hostess, Irina, cooks, you won’t feel like cooking yourself, and cafe food doesn’t fit either in quality or in portion sizes. The cuisine is mostly Eastern European. Irina cooks exclusively from homemade ingredients.
4. Leisure. Artur, Irina's husband, is a professional guide, leads groups of tourists from the village and local recreation centers. There are excursions for every taste: hiking in the mountains, cycling excursions (there is a rental in the village), horseback riding. We especially liked the excursion with an overnight stay in a hunting lodge on a meadow - the Carpathian version of the Alpine meadows. I must say right away that in order to get the most out of your vacation in the Carpathians in the summer, you need to walk a lot.
I really didn't want to leave. The impression is that they rested with relatives. Thanks to Artur and Irina for the warm welcome!
