Were in the Ark on Megur (mountain) for half of May 2012, a male company: brother and father. I have long wanted and tried (and promised Valery) to write, but still nothing. conscience tormented. In short, the hotel is unique. Of what I had to try myself, this is the most isolated from civilization (but at the same time located on an autonomous power supply) hotel. It is a hotel, because, of course, you can find even more wilderness, for example, on the island of Tataru, this is a completely different format. In addition, I highly recommend it to amateur botanists or just connoisseurs of flora (I introduced the owners to the Red Book soldanella growing under their feet). Unfortunately, orchids (as I suspect) only sprouted and collected juice, so I did not see flowering (presumably, already towards the end of May). On average, we walked at least 15 km per day (well, here it’s an amateur, which we turned out to be), we even went down to the lower belt, where birch trees already meet and the bear trail begins. Not to forget, tips: (1) if possible, raft on the White Cheremosh (the road, in principle, is tiring, but it's worth it); (2) ask Valery to show on wikimapia and tell where the border with Romania is (km 5-6, in my opinion, within walking distance), a hunting lodge and an old, abandoned hostel; (3) go down the mountain, standing with your back to the swing, and to the right - down the clearing, there will be a turbulent mountain stream (maybe a river). There is also a journey to some mountain lake, but that's us for another time. Also, from what I did not immediately find: on the territory of the Ark closer to one of the windmills (or between), there is still a horizontal bar! By the way, I recommend tinctures on chokeberry. I hope that the format of the hotel will not change and will also remain a haven for people who are languishing from civilization-urbanization, but who are cowardly to leave it. For 7-8 days of walking along the mountain paths, we did not meet anyone except the guests on the territory of the hotel. And one more thing: I recommend watching a thunderstorm - it's like a lesson in meteorology with your own eyes. Valery, keep it up! We'll be back in summer or autumn. Best regards, Artem
