Planned a 4 day trip to Miami, a week long Caribbean cruise and 4 days to Orlando.

We used the services of the Lufthansa airline via Frankfurt. Good plane and decent service. True, on the Frankfurt-Miami section, halfway through the flight, our headphones stopped working for watching entertainment programs on board. We are not particularly upset by this fact. But the crew, trying to make amends for this incident, at the end of the flight handed each a bottle of expensive champagne, thereby making us forget about what had happened. The hotel "Newport Beachside Hotel & Resort 3 *" in which we paid for accommodation is located in the northern part of Miami Beach. The hotel was not expensive, we chose it on the Internet based on pictures and good reviews. In April 2008, we also took 3 *, it was the "Marriott Hotel - Norwalk" in Los Angeles. The hotel in California was super, by Turkish standards, all 5 *. And this time we decided not to show off. Taxi from the airport cost us $70 with a tip.

It was hot outside and we left our suitcases in the room and ran to the beach. The beach is wonderful, white sand and huge ocean waves, on which we frolicked like children. The hotel was being renovated, workers were walking around, tapes were stretched on the territory forbidding access to many places near the pool, in the pool itself the workers rinsed rags with which they then covered fresh concrete, the noise of construction work was heard in the room behind the wall. Of course, we didn’t like it all, but with this fact we didn’t spoil our vacation and silently swallowed it. But the most "fun" was ahead, after a long flight and change of time zones we went to bed at 19:00. Around 10:00 pm I woke up with my whole body itching terribly, turning on the light I found that my arms and back were covered with large blisters and lifting the covers I saw that my bed was infested with bed bugs. After crushing one, I went with him to the lobby. Having given it to the girl from the reception, I asked to be moved to another room, to which the girl said that she was sorry, but there were no free rooms. Then I began to ask more insistently to do it.

As a result, she asked the security guard to take us to the suite, warning that it was just for one night and that we would not stay there until the end of our stay, they did not give us the key to this suite. This was the last straw of our patience. Having made sure that the door did not slam behind us, we went down to the Internet cafe and began to look for a new hotel. Since there were days off ahead, the choice of free hotels was very limited. I had to take the expensive option "Trump International Beach resort 4 + *". The next day, we packed our bags and moved to another hotel, losing our temper and money for the days we didn't live at the Newport Beachside Hotel. I also took allergy medicine for a long time to relieve itching and swelling.

Here we are in the new hotel. "Trump International Beach resort 4 + *" is a real 5 stars. Spacious rooms, new furniture and plumbing, kitchen, large LCD TV, 25th floor, balcony overlooking the ocean, a cascade of pools, a gorgeous beach. The breakfasts in the hotel restaurant were very memorable, a good choice (buffet) and excellent service.

During the day we swam in the ocean, went to the nearest shopping center "Aventura Mall" which was selling 50% -70%. We visited the local oceanarium "Seaquarium" whose star is a killer whale named Lolita. We walked around the Art Deco district, visited local restaurants. We did not notice how time flew by and we need to leave the hotel to go to the port on our cruise ship. The adventure continues.

To be continued….
