I fly to California every year. I love these evergreen places. In 2007, we decided to spend a vacation there all together: my wife and I and our two daughters. Arriving to friends in Los Angeles, in 4 weeks they traveled everything within a radius of 300 miles - from Santa Barbara with its cold windy coast to San Diego with a warm ocean and a lot of museums and entertainment. For a change, we also climbed deep into the mainland to the Sequoya Park National Park.

I don’t list a specific hotel, since we stayed with friends, and on trips we stayed in small motels, of which there are simply thousands in Silicon Valley.

I want to show California from different angles.

This selection of photographs features the Sequoia Park National Wildlife Refuge. Trees are 115-118 meters in height, have an age of up to 2-3 thousand years. Many of them grew here even when Europe was covered with dense forests inhabited by barbarians. To say that these trees are gigantic is an understatement. When you see such a tree among the pines, it seems that these are the legs of an unreal gigantic creature, wandering through the forest on its own business. The aroma of pine needles, peace and quiet. Iron food safes are everywhere in car parks with warnings not to leave food in the car - bears can easily tear the car to rags, getting to the goodies. In the forest, you can easily meet wild deer, roe deer, bears and other wild animals, which are protected by law here.
