Terrible attitude towards guests, everything that does not suit you all your problems....food is terrible, fruits are not the first freshness, the hotel manager responds to guests' requests "don't like it is your problem" you feel like an idiot for your own money. This is the worst hotel I have ever been in my life. The hotel positions itself as a 4 star, you can safely give 2 stars no more. The price does not match the quality of the services provided, if you want to "ruin your vacation feel free to go into this horror". . .

I want to note the absolutely boorish and ignorant attitude of the hotel manager Mitka Atanasov to the guests. The fact is between me and him that there was a conflict during which I, as a client, felt offended. This manager noted that this is his hotel and that he wants to do it. At the end, he got nasty and mockingly wished "a good day. " But my proposal related to the organization of the hotel and was harmless. In addition, I want to note that with tourists from Europe (Germans, Bulgarians, British), this "worker in the Bulgarian tourism industry" is treated very respectfully and with special love, and with the rest - with obvious hatred, in which I foresee expressed racism.
At the expense of the kitchen --- the food is poor, monotonous, does not at all correspond to the money paid. There are flies in the kitchen: they are everywhere, even in food. There is no children's table. Sun loungers and umbrellas on the beach are paid (nonsense, I haven’t come across this anywhere, probably from greed). The beach itself is not cleaned - it is littered. The animator is an amateur. According to the selected staff (not professionals), one can feel a very low payment for them.

I chose the hotel because I had to go myself with children 2 and 5 years old, and even in mid-September (I couldn’t escape before) and I wanted to at least breathe in the sea, no longer hoped to swim. It also attracted that the hotel has an indoor pool with warm mineral water. In addition to everything, they promised free Wi-Fi in the rooms - it was, in fact, and this is a plus. The final plus to the choice of the hotel was the offer of 7 = 6 nights when booking a room after 14.09, which I did by booking 10 nights, one of which turned out to be free. I booked directly with the Sunny Day resort booking department.
The settlement was quick, the girl at the reception was nice, all the documents were ready (I paid half the amount in advance with a card, which is very convenient). Picolo brought the luggage, for which he received 1 lev and was satisfied.
The rooms are not bad (there was enough space for us), but the minus is that when the light is on in the bathroom, the fan is also quite noisy. Also, there was no general lighting in the room - only bedside table lamps and 2 more sconces opposite the bed.
Also, it is a mystery to me why in Bulgaria the TVs in the hotels have not yet been changed to newer ones.
I also consider the low partitions between the balconies to be a minus - the children saw the neighbors, fortunately they were elderly Germans, and decently dressed (not in shorts)
Room cleaning - I can’t say anything bad - we became friends with our maids, both Rositsy, they were very tactful, attentive, economic, it was always clean and tidy, moderately fragrant, even though we always have a mess in the room - the children are still...
I really liked the view from the window - the park, beautiful air, not noisy, even though there is a road under the windows, but only tour buses and taxis are allowed to enter the territory of Sunny Day, and with tourists.
Beach: I did not like the slippery stairs to the beach, decent enough, 30-40 steps..... Very inconvenient. On the other side of the hotel, where the pool is, there are also stairs, so it will be hard for the elderly to go down and already go up for sure. I don’t understand why a ramp is not provided....I didn’t like the attitude of the beach caretakers towards vacationers - there was no cleaning on the beach as such, there were few vacationers, but these “hawks” always flew into those tourists who were lying on a sun lounger - they paid. And it sounded so ugly, rude..... I imagined these umbrellas in the season - obviously you need to take up space early, and there is clearly not enough for everyone. And the umbrellas are such that it’s scary to hang things - rusty, nails stick out there.....
The sea was wonderful - but cool, I didn’t dare to bathe the children, but warm mineral water was just “let in” into the outdoor pool - 42 degrees. It was impossible to pull out the children, but this is also bad - because the water is still thermal, and it gives a load on the heart decently, you can’t sit for a long time. We went to the indoor pool a couple of times, the water is warm, mineral too, but somehow suspiciously cloudy, I don’t know if they changed it at all? I also noticed that many tourists came from the beach and without bathing in the shower immediately went down to the pool. The showers and changing rooms are terrible. The shops are so ancient, not to mention the smell.... brrrr. The desire to swim in this pool disappeared almost immediately.
Meals: I will say one thing - our Bulgarian grandmother - my mother-in-law's buffet is 100 times better))))) And olinkusive - too.
There was kind of a lot of food, but so to choose something tasty - no. With all the variety of Bulgarian cuisine, everything is somehow inedible, unsightly in appearance, not tasty. Soups - you can’t eat at all, these are generally non-traditional soups for Bulgaria for the Germans, as I understand it. The cook is just -5 points. There were few fruits, the grapes were sometimes very, very rotten. Cakes and pastries are tasteless. Beer - nothing at all. What a brand unknown to anyone..... Ice cream - just 5 bowls of different colors of ice cream. It's not tasty! Snacking between breakfast and lunch and between lunch and dinner is a nightmare! The same sandwiches (with cheese and cucumber and cheese and tomato) all 10 days of rest. Oh yes, pizza too. Always the same! Well, comrades, how is it possible??? ? several types of cookies, cake, cupcake, tea and coffee. And that's it! Dishes - some plates can be seen already under 50 years old - with peeling gilding and sometimes broken. Some cups on the counter were dirty - with a touch of tea, there were a lot of broken ones. The size of the cups allowed pouring 1.5 drinks, so part of the second drink was simply poured into the machine.
Pillows for children - to sit higher - were dirty, worn, well, just awful. By the way, the same picture is in the hotel lobby - there are very few places to sit, despite the fact that the hotel is half empty, in addition, all the upholstery is clearly old, terrible, worn-out, greasy.
The only thing I want to say is that the cleaning in the restaurant was on top - everything was on time, without too much fuss, with a smile, always clean tablecloths.
In addition to everything, our vacation was overshadowed by viruses: at first, it became terribly bad in the evening - for no reason, for no reason - vomited. Then the temperature rose, but by the morning after laforobion (in a suppository, antiviral) it was like a cucumber. I thought it was because of the pool and decided not to go there. Then suddenly I felt bad - for no apparent reason - my stomach twists, and also vomiting. By morning it was all gone. After 2 days and the youngest - in the evening, during dinner....Already called the doctor for insurance. The driver arrived and took us to the Azalea Hotel. There, the doctor, without even examining the child, prescribed gentamicin a bunch of other crap - like candles for vomiting, smectite, etc. The driver kindly took us to the pharmacy on St. Konstantin, where we were stingy and my daughter vomited again. We arrived at the room - the child is still feeling bad..... I look on the Internet what gentamicin is and my hair stands on end - children under 3 cannot be prescribed, the drug can cause hearing problems! The strongest antibiotic, moreover, does not lead to poisoning in any way. I have a panic - I don’t know how to help the child - she already vomits bile, she only drinks water - she immediately feels sick. And then I remember Dr. Koparovsky, I slurped sweet water and began to drink half a syringe every 15 minutes - all night. The vomiting has stopped. The next morning - a child is like a cucumber. I just can’t imagine how this night ended - with droppers, hospitals, etc........
The only plus - thanks to the restaurant manager for help - you could order boiled rice, gave a thermos, tea, sugar, whatever you want. She also told me that they have such a summer flu - you get sick for 1 day - vomiting, fever....And then everything goes away without medication. Boast good, as they say.....
Animation. Obviously tired animators held evening shows at the Veronica Hotel - next to our hotel. The children liked the children's disco - even the youngest danced! But apart from the evening program, there was nothing else - oh, yes, drawing on T-shirts - you buy a T-shirt for 14 lev and the animator draws with your child. Well, what can I say to you - if there are other entertainments, at least something. The children's room is terribly dirty, smelly, despite the fact that Marina also has a children's room, but it was closed - you see, for show (
The tables on which the children drew were covered with plastic black garbage bags.... Dirty, torn - horrific! The animators themselves were already clearly out of sorts and dreamed of the end of the season, which never came.
Playgrounds - there are 2 of them - near Veronika and near Marina - just from Soviet times. Designed for a stay of a maximum of 3-4 children - small, broken-down.
In general, obviously the hotel does not reach 4 stars, the service is not bad - everyone is smiling, trying. A big plus is a good, closed area, a picturesque place. But entertainment is zero. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to St. Constantine, although they could have started a train, the one that rides there for bad money just goes somewhere for 40 minutes, I don’t advise it, in general.
Our departure was the last fly in the ointment. We had to check out from the hotel around 8-30 and catch the train from Varna to Ruse at 9-55. I called my friend a taxi driver from Varna, from just our friend and he also met us at the airport. Our man arrived on time, but they didn't let him in at the entrance to the complex. He calls me, I try to clarify at the reception. I was offered to call their taxi for 15 leva, or walk to another exit from the complex - behind the Veronica Hotel - and let our taxi driver come there. The price of 15 leva is by no means high, although this price has already been named after a good scandal on my part. Shuttle-bus, which is a 6-seat minibus and is provided for trips around the complex for FREE for hotel guests - is busy. They refuse to take you to the upper entrance. Even at the sight of 2 children, 10 shopping bags are not allowed. I feel uncomfortable in front of a man - he came, they don't let him in. What a bullshit! Nowhere is this mentioned in a single word - they say, other taxi drivers - get out....In general, I see that there is no way out, and I go up with the youngest, I reach the entrance, and get into our taxi. In this form, the guard can miss the car. Well, isn't it the Gestapo? And the guard, a young kid in a darned sweater - with a black mouth, proving what a fool I am, that I had to go to another exit. What can I tell you. I am well aware of this type of official relations in Bulgaria. There is no reception against them, you can argue, argue, resent - it will not help. They are accustomed to being in the service of the communists (hotels were previously available only for the party apparatus, and only for the last 10 years tourists were allowed into them). But svodepovskie habits are ineradicable, you see.
In general, we barely managed to get to the station, the train was already standing, we barely managed to get tickets and throw our things into the car. But we have tied the arrival time to the time of another train. So, if we didn’t have time, I think that you wrote your review much earlier. And now it's already chilled.
I see the moral of this fable for myself as follows: I won’t go to all inclusive anymore. And I won't go to the hotel either. Only in apartments or a private hotel with a verified owner.

pros: the best beach on the northern coast - shallow sea up to waist-high buoys, transparent, few jellyfish, almost clean sand (cigarette butts are apparently inevitable). !!!! clean and spacious, in the rooms, in the halls, in the dining room (the language does not rise to be called a restaurant). the rooms are just super - in blue tones, carpet, a huge sink, an armchair with a coffee table. … More ▾ pros:

clean and spacious, in the rooms, in the halls, in the dining room (the language does not rise to be called a restaurant).
the rooms are just super - in blue tones, carpet, a huge sink, an armchair with a coffee table. cosy. amazing sea view!! ! just the sea and all. endless.
there is an indoor pool with warm water and a warm and very pleasant lifeguard uncle (right in the face of Bulgaria).
pleasant in general and trying to cater to every whim of the staff.
that's all.
minuses:
the design of the balconies - the room is perfectly visible from the neighbors, you have to curtain the windows and deprive yourself of views.
smoke everywhere and a lot. ventilation drives it to you and you, having arrived to breathe fresh air, sleep with a buzzing air conditioner.
miserable playgrounds throughout the complex. purely for show. for a long time they asked them to hang the swing, where there was a frame with hinges. hung the worst ones. on the territory of Port Palace, where we were sent, there was a trampoline, which was broken by the middle of the season, and for which everyone fought for life with the owners of the apartments.
animation only the first day of the season was at the marina, then we did not hear or see it. everything is with veronica. and what did we pay for hanging around other people's hotels with a lower star rating, where everything was just packed with children and their parents.
and the animators are weak. and they would be ashamed to write announcements in some kind of very broken Russian, nothing was clear at all.
smoking on the beach. punishment is impossible. nobody cares. ostensibly in Bulgaria it is possible.
A separate topic is RESTAURANT AND FOOD: we will take into account that the hotel is supposedly for children.
instead of juices in vats, tongue-dyed poison from Derby.
two kinds of meat. no money for beef. turkey was once at my request
fruit 2 types. either apples and oranges, or watermelon and peaches. but everything is very cheap and of poor quality (like an ant crawled out of a peach seed). pancakes for breakfast taste terrible. overcooked and there are always queues for half an hour. there would be something.
everything is either overcooked or undercooked (even cabbage and potatoes). how to feed children their porridge is stupidly oats filled with stupidly milk. the child who loved porridge now hates it. sometimes a diluted paste with lumps could be found in the cereal compartment. that it was I have no idea.
even pasta had to be tried to spoil. messed up.
I love fish very much. but somehow the mackerel was a little extinct.
and most importantly, no one could answer the question of what something was made of. apparently hidden intentionally.
flies everywhere.
the plates are washed with poison, then you can’t sniff the hot dishes, you can vomit. I constantly felt sick there.
desserts are tasteless.
feeling - the cook does not know how to cook, while the manager hates people and takes them for fools, not otherwise. they try to save and cheat on everything, but it just shines through. at the same time, they are not at all aware of the elementary foundations of a healthy diet (hm, I even thought about whether there should be healthy food in hotels at all ??? )
at the same time, there are always no places, queues, an abundance of left-wing people as hosts, because for some reason weddings and conferences are held on weekends right up to mid-July.
and finally a lot of people always, everywhere. no place to be alone at all. some kind of mystery that in this fabulous and claiming to be an elite territory some non-fabulous, in some places simply uncouth people walk, constantly reminding of their homeland.
Oh yes. elevators with doors is something. four stars I think should have automatic doors and more spacious elevators.
imo are simply inevitable). !!!!

Good afternoon! We rested in the Marina 4 * family with a daughter of 7 years. I really liked the hotel and liked the area of Sunny Day and St. Constantine and Helena. I advise Marina, she, in my opinion, has a lot of advantages in terms of location and service. And only she stands on the very shore, or rather, even on the beach.
About the hotel.
Before Bulgaria, there have already been many places in Europe, Greece, Turkey, Asia, always staying in 4 or 5 stars, so there is something to compare with. The Marina Hotel is a full-fledged four and not, as many write on other sites, that it doesn’t pull on a four. I would like to ask - what kind of "cool" fours have you stayed in before? Four she and four in Africa))
We arrived at the hotel at 9.30 am, we were immediately put on bracelets and invited to breakfast, they said that before check-in we can leave things in the storage room and take a shower, because our room will be ready by 13.00. I asked that if possible we were settled as early as possible, and an hour later we were already settled.
The rooms are a bit small but we only slept there so it doesn't matter. Our room was overlooking the sea, every evening we fell asleep to the sound of the surf, a real relaxation! But if you take a room overlooking the park, you will get no less pleasure, clean air, greenery of trees. And again, it's quiet, it's quiet everywhere!
About food. I am simply amazed by the reviews about the scarcity of food in the hotel. At lunch, people manage to put three types of meat and 4 types of side dishes on their plate, then a plate with a mountain of vegetables and salads, and then they still throw at least 2-3 types of desserts, and on top 4 types of ice cream, or pastries (???! ! ! ) and at the same time they write that there is nothing to eat... It would be better if they took care of their figure, there were no slim ones on the beach)))
By the way, the ice cream is very tasty, and it tastes natural, as before, there are always 4 types to choose from. I have not seen that it would never be enough. I don't care for ice cream, but I enjoy it.
Fruit - always fresh apples, peaches, nectarines, watermelons and a couple of times there was a melon.
The drinks are those that are Bulgarian and are included in the "all inclusive", very decent, not like in Turkey. Very tasty champagne "Iskra" drink as much as you want. Rakia, tequila, white and red wine are very good.
From 11.00 to 16.30 snacks at the bar, cookies (4-5 types), pastries (cakes, apple rolls), snacks, coffee, tea.
Children's animation in nearby Veronica. Again, I can only say good things, in 4 languages (including Russian). Almost twice a week, children's evening shows are prepared, in which children are participants, and not just spectators. The kids are sure to love it!
It’s a pity, of course, that in the Marina itself there is a children’s club, but it doesn’t work.
Umbrellas on the beach are free, there was no "fight" for them and you don't have to get up at dawn to take a place under the sun. Although the hotel was completely full and still high season.
Wi-Fi in the lobby of the first and second floor. There are also public computers, 3 pieces.
Room cleaning every day. We hung up a sign so that they would not clean us up, but the maid girls very politely still asked if they could clean you up? The staff is generally polite and adequate, not to be compared with Turkey, where feigned politeness ends when there is at least some kind of problem. In general, in Bulgaria the feeling of security for oneself and for the child is much higher than in exotic countries. This is what I liked.

The contingent of the hotel - Russians, units of Ukrainians and Belarusians, Germans, many of the emigrants. The audience is mostly decent and calm. A lot of people have a rest with large families or companies - grandfather, grandmother, mother, father, a couple of children.
I went to the spa several times for wraps - not very bad and not expensive, by Kiev standards. There is also mud and a mineral water pool, which is free for hotel residents.
If you want a good relaxing holiday for yourself and your children, which you will long nostalgic for (like us, who have just returned tanned and peaceful), then Bulgaria is what you need !! ! Happy holidays!

According to numerous reviews, vacationers in Marina 4 concluded that the food there is not very good, is it possible to go and eat in hotels in the neighborhood, and is it really that poor?
