Well, or a spider, sklopendra or other unpleasant and biting creatures? And what to do if a snake bites? I read all sorts of horror stories, I saw enough photos of tourists in which a cobra is right on the porch of a bungalow or a cat-sized gecko is hanging right on the door. And the spider with the saucer actually killed :-( Is this really true? If I fly there, will I see all this and can they still bite me? I am terrified, I really want comforting answers that they say this is a case of one in a million :-)

I will say this: not a single self-respecting snake will ever crawl where tourists, hotel staff and cars are not calm and roam.
