What is better to choose for the first trip to Asia: Thailand, Sri Lanka, Goa or Chinese Hainan? We will go on a tour for 10-12 days
Gathered in March to take a hot ticket. Where is the best place to go? We want to have a rest not only on the beach, but also on excursions. I would be grateful for recommendations)

Thailand, there are all the delights of life, go to Pattaya, you will like it.
India is something, after Thailand it is heaven and earth, cows walk right along the beach.

Once I chose Sri Lanka and now I don’t want to go to Thailand!)) You can’t swim everywhere in Hainan, the currents are strong. Read the reviews carefully. But trips there are much cheaper than others.
аватар sk_lora
Sri Lanka is a very risky holiday. There and sudden high waves and malaria.
Goa - beautiful beaches (South Goa), relatively low prices. But the problems with sunbeds on the beach - you have to either pay for them quite expensive or dine in a cafe to which these sunbeds belong. Yes, and the water in Goa is not transparent and, indeed, garbage is lying around everywhere.
Hainan - muddy water, waves of sand fleas on the beach and rats in the green area between the beach and the hotel. The hotel staff does not speak Russian or English.
Thailand is a completely different matter. Here you can see both the magnificent Bangkok (it takes at least 4 days), and the colorful Pattaya, and enjoy the rest on the snow-white beaches of one of the islands.
I really liked o. Koh Chang, but there you need to carefully choose a hotel.

sk_lora what kind of malaria?)) Where did you read this? Are the waves high? Hmm.. so there is an ocean. but there are hundreds of coves and beaches without waves. And there are no waves in Goa?)) Well, judging by your text, Thailand is the best. But to compare the ocean with bays .... well, so-so comparison .. And nature is beautiful everywhere in all places. The main thing is what the author's priorities are.

For the first time I hear about malaria in Sri Lanka.
For the first time, take Thailand, the infrastructure is very developed, it will be comfortable.

Thailand, for starters, Pattaya, there will be no time to lie on the beach. We have been going to Thailand for 25 years and do not get bored ANYWHERE!

For the first acquaintance - Thailand and, if you are interested not only in a beach holiday, choose Pattaya. Excursions for every taste and budget, relatively not expensive, relatively not far and not stressful. Choose a 3 or 4 star hotel with breakfast and a good pool, since the sea in Pattaya is not the cleanest, but this does not spoil your vacation, you can take excursions to the clean beaches of Koh Samet, a military beach or on your own on about. Ko Lan. But I don’t know about a hot tour, winter and spring in Thailand are high season and prices for tours too.

I have not been to Asia, but if I considered Thailand and Hainan.
Hainan - only because of the cost, it sometimes sags significantly ....

Definitely Thailand!

Honestly, if you haven't been anywhere before, it doesn't matter. How many people, so many opinions, and everyone has their own. Buy what's on your budget and go. I have been everywhere from the listed countries and I will say this, everywhere has its pros and cons, and it is very important how, where and when you get there. In the same thai, you can very unsuccessfully settle without knowing the features and you won’t want to go to this country anymore. I love Goa very much, Sri Lanka didn’t go at all (the country of one visit, but this is my opinion), I love Thai very much, I’ve been to many places, but my moments and not taking them into account can spoil the impression. Hai nan just returned, also normal, but I definitely won’t return there in the near future, other plans for other countries.

I join those who wrote above, if the budget is small, I conclude because of trying to catch a hot tour, then I would most likely stop on Hainan Island, pretty good tours skip the price of a direct flight. I haven’t been to Ceylon and GOA, since I prefer beach holidays in Egypt, not far away and an inexpensive flight, I want to visit these countries on my own and for about a month to travel around the country. If you want to fly to Thailand on a budget, then it’s better in the summer, the prices are lower, the rainy season is not as scary as it is painted, for example, in Pattai, during my stay, the longest downpour lasted two hours, but there will be discomfort due to the park climate, you leave the chilled room and you get into the steam room of the bath.

The fact is that a tour to Hainan and a tour to Sri Lanka cost the same for last-minute tours. But looking at what to eat in Hainan, they were somehow not very impressed.
аватар moy_contakt
Voityshenko, especially since you are not impressed, then go there, which you like best. But these countries cannot be compared at all, they are all completely different, with their own color, features and recreation is very different. To understand the ryaznitsa, you need to go and see for yourself and draw conclusions.

From ALL SEA I love trips to Vietnam. There is something to see in any region and have a great rest. And also, they produce excellent coffee.
аватар hanno4ka
In March, in Sri Lanka and Thailand it will definitely be warm and warm sea, but in Hainan it will be cooler ..

Agree with most of the reviews.
Sri Lanka - there is nothing to scare with malaria. It's like in Thailand - Dengue fever. But the waves and currents are not good for those who like to swim far into the sea, and not take pictures in a beautiful bay, going up to the waist so as not to be blown away.
Goa is poor service and cheap if comfort is not needed. For a comfortable stay, prices are unreasonably high in comparison with other countries.
Hainan - the sea is muddy, there are fleas in the sand, some other small rubbish bites in the water, and the worst thing is that they are not visible. There is frankly nothing to see except Yanoda on the island. For those who are afraid of the language barrier, Hainan is a terrible place. It is easier to find a Russian-speaking Chinese than an English-speaking one. The main thing is that they do not understand not only speech, but also their own hieroglyphs, handwritten by other Chinese. How they communicate at all is a mystery. :-)))
Thailand is my favorite country. I don't know why everyone advises to "start from Pattaya". Phuket or Krabi is more comfortable.
аватар JeryLee
You can also consider island Malaysia and Vietnam. I liked it there and there. Malaysia has exotic fauna and flora and is simply beautiful. True, the country is Muslim, but not dogmatic. And in Vietnam it is very cheap (seafood), but the service is minimal. In general, Southeast Asia is a treasure trove. Having visited it for the first time 11 years ago, it was worth going only there. It doesn't pull anywhere else. All good and good luck!
аватар ollennka
Oh yeah! I will support Malaysia with both hands. Langkawi is perfect for the first time. For the second Penang or Borneo).
аватар Pachok
Lngkawi from Ukraine is about three times more expensive than burning Thailand and Sri Lanka :)
And China is now, in general, practically on the ball.
True, the question of a submarine that either exploded, or did not explode, or simply dumped radioactive materials into the South China Sea, is still not clear here.
And support Jery Lee on Phuket and Krabi. Pattaya is the worst option in Thailand.
аватар ollennka
Langkawi is not just so expensive. It is three times cleaner and nicer in terms of the local population!
аватар Pachok
Maybe I haven't been to Malaysia yet.
But, if people are waiting for burning Sri Lanka, Thailand and Goa, then the budget is definitely not for Langkawi.
аватар ollennka
Well it is, more for the general public). After all, TurPravda is read not only by those who asked the question.

The travel agency advised us to start from Sri Lanka, then Goa, then Thai. As I understand it, from the side of increasing the service. We started from Sri Lanka, we liked it very much, we want to repeat it, but if something else from the above is on fire .... In general, the question of price.
аватар ollennka
And what's wrong with the service in Sri Lanka? I really liked the hotels and excursions there. With restaurants only for me personally, it was strained, since I was able to force myself to eat their national cuisine. I had to look for establishments with a more or less European orientation.
аватар ollennka
I couldn't force myself.
аватар Pachok
It is very strange that Goa was considered higher than Sri Lanka in terms of service ...
