We spent two days in the hospital, got pumped with IV, antibiotics and paracetamol. At the end, the doctor said that it was a "traveller's disease" caused by local bacteria which our bodies are unfamiliar with. It seemed strange that it caused such a reaction, considering that I've already been to Turkey, as well as a variety of countries in the Middleterranean. The diagnosis was acute gastroenteritis, without specifying the cause of it. Considering that excrements were yellow, completely liquid and that diarrhea continues a week later (while my girlfriend still has high fever and stomach cramps), it seems unlikely to be caused by a simple upset stomach.
Back at the hotel, some of the employees told us that about 30% of guests are sick. The cafeteria even prepared boiled rice and chicken for the many affected. The guest relations manager didn't elaborate on the reasons that might have caused the outbreak, what exactly it was and refused to accept any responsibility, apologize or refund us for two nights that we've lost due to the lack of hygiene at their hotel. It was especially nice of her to hint that it was caused by us already having some disease at home and bringing it with us.
I have never experienced such a phenomenal lack of concern and responsibility for one's own incompetence! STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!

We chose the hotel on a whim. We were absolutely satisfied with everything. Everything was fine with the room. As for food, I am more accustomed to our cuisine, but my wife and daughter liked it. The territory of the hotel is not large, but very cozy and divided into zones. Perhaps that is why there is no feeling of overcrowding. After 9 am, the pool was still free to find sun loungers in the second row. After 10 o'clock in the morning, my mother and I went to the pier and also no problems with sunbeds. This made me very happy. In general, on the beach there was a feeling that the neighboring hotels were half empty, while life was in full swing with us. For swimming it is better to take slippers. We never blame the hotel for a pebble beach. It's nature, the hotel can't do anything about it.
If you need sand, then you need to go to another area.
About the number. We ordered 2 standards, asked to be placed nearby, which was done. Valentina, thank you! I would like to note the good work of the maids: the cleanliness of the pharmacy and the mini-bar was replenished regularly, but the sculptures from the towels also showed an inexhaustible fantasy with an excellent sense of humor. Somehow everyone is already used to swans. But an elephant with sunglasses on its forehead or a padishah swan with an ashtray and a TV remote control have never been seen before. The soundproofing of the room is also excellent. By the way, on the very first day, a half-fallen socket in the bathroom and a slightly clogged drain in the sink were noticed. The outlet was fixed within two hours of asking, and the drain was cleared without asking. So the technical staff - bravo!
Nutrition. We had a late check in on Saturday at 10pm.
We arrived tired and hungry, so we took advantage of the possibility of a late dinner at 23.30 with pleasure . . We thought that only soup would be offered. But no. There was soup, 2 types of meat, fish, 2 types of side dishes, salads, fruits. You can dine quite well, for late travelers just a great option.
In general, we really liked everything about nutrition, especially soups and desserts. Strawberries with a chocolate fountain are beautiful and delicious. Two things were “disappointing” - I wanted to try everything in a week, but with such a variety it is impossible (especially desserts). And secondly, we didn’t get to the fish restaurant on Saturday, as it was already time to leave. So there is a reason to come back!
Interesting themed nights: in the last week of May there was a Turkish night, a Mexican night and a night of love. We went to an Italian restaurant: we enjoyed the food, the presentation and the service.
The work of the waiters in the Italian restaurant and in the main restaurant is generally beyond praise. Dirty dishes were taken away instantly, drinks were offered as soon as we sat down at the table, replenished just as quickly. After 9 am, the pool was still free to find sun loungers in the second row. After 10 o'clock in the morning, my mother and I went to the pier and also no problems with sunbeds. This made me very happy. In general, on the beach there was a feeling that the neighboring hotels were half empty, while life was in full swing with us. For swimming it is better to take slippers. We never blame the hotel for a pebble beach. It's nature, the hotel can't do anything about it.
If you need sand, then you need to go to another area.
About the number. We ordered 2 standards, asked to be placed nearby, which was done. Valentina, thank you! I would like to note the good work of the maids: the cleanliness of the pharmacy and the mini-bar was replenished regularly, but the sculptures from the towels also showed an inexhaustible fantasy with an excellent sense of humor. Somehow everyone is already used to swans. But an elephant with sunglasses on its forehead or a padishah swan with an ashtray and a TV remote control have never been seen before. The soundproofing of the room is also excellent. By the way, on the very first day, a half-fallen socket in the bathroom and a slightly clogged drain in the sink were noticed. The outlet was fixed within two hours of asking, and the drain was cleared without asking. So the technical staff - bravo!
Nutrition. We had a late check in on Saturday at 10pm.
We arrived tired and hungry, so we took advantage of the possibility of a late dinner at 23.30 with pleasure . . We thought that only soup would be offered. But no. There was soup, 2 types of meat, fish, 2 types of side dishes, salads, fruits. You can dine quite well, for late travelers just a great option.
In general, we really liked everything about nutrition, especially soups and desserts. Strawberries with a chocolate fountain are beautiful and delicious. Two things were “disappointing” - I wanted to try everything in a week, but with such a variety it is impossible (especially desserts). And secondly, we didn’t get to the fish restaurant on Saturday, as it was already time to leave. So there is a reason to come back!
Interesting themed nights: in the last week of May there was a Turkish night, a Mexican night and a night of love. We went to an Italian restaurant: we enjoyed the food, the presentation and the service.
The work of the waiters in the Italian restaurant and in the main restaurant is generally beyond praise. Dirty dishes were taken away instantly, drinks were offered as soon as we sat down at the table, replenished just as quickly. The blackberry and cherry wines are delicious (offered in the main restaurant on theme nights). Volkan and Zarima (I hope I spelled the names correctly), thank you for your attention to our family!
The work of the bartenders is also on top: they served quickly, they did not spare alcohol in cocktails. Feature of this year: in the morning, bartenders walked around the pool, offering alcoholic and non-alcoholic mojitos. Great start to the day!
The animation is unobtrusive, which is good. Mukarnas, are you ready? All information about the events is given, the guys are positive and cheerful.
I will be happy to advise this hotel to those for whom the daily availability of seafood and strawberries is not the most important thing!
P. S. Once upon a time, in the half-forgotten times of developed socialism, there was such a thing as a book of complaints and suggestions. If such a thing existed in Muqarnas, then they would definitely leave a record in it. But not in the complaints section (since there are none in principle), but in terms of suggestions. It would be nice to slightly adjust the schedule of daytime animation activities. The fact is that some of them "overlap" each other in time. And therefore it is not possible, for example, to do morning exercises and play boccia on the same day, since boccia starts exactly 20 minutes earlier than the gymnastics ends. Surely, if it is possible to do this, then our Mukarnas (forgive me, if something is wrong, but we just call it “ours”) will sparkle even brighter in the sky of Turkey!

We rested at Mukarnas Spa Resort 5 * from 05/21/2019 to 05/28/2019. When checking in, the Turks tried to charge us an additional fee, supposedly for the best room (although we had everything agreed when buying the tour), but the Guest Relations Manager came - VALENTINA and all issues were resolved quickly..
