The beach is free in 7 minutes, sun loungers are paid (20 or 30 UAH. I don’t remember exactly). We preferred to lie on the bun under a ready-made canopy with sun loungers, fewer people and good shade in the middle of the day. Meals in the cafe "at the mother-in-law" - quite a decent breakfast buffet (if you don't find fault). They cook deliciously, but for a long time, if you had lunch or dinner, you waited for an hour. Beach: - Rubicon does not have its own, they issue entrance cards to the beach of "Ukraine".
Medium pebble. Everyone went to the sea in shoes. Clean and even very! With beer, for example, they will not be allowed on the beach. You can't smoke either. Do everything on the embankment! People were happy, no one complained, on the contrary, both smokers and non-smokers. Sun lounger rental - 20 UAH. (approx. 2.5 dollars) for one for the whole day (on other beaches of Marat, Pine Grove, etc. - 40 UAH! )
The sea was clean, warm and pleasantly refreshing. 3-4 days there was a storm, the waves overwhelmed the entire beach (despite the breakwater), so everyone stood, but it was fun to jump on the bank and see)

Hundreds of reviews on the network were shoveled, and the choice was made on the village of Miskhor (options - the Marat Park Hotel and the Rubikon complex). After contacting the administrator of "Marat", a condition was set for 100% prepayment for the entire period of stay, which did not quite suit us, because, having a 4-year-old child, in May-June it is difficult to make 100% plans for mid-August. In Rubicon, they offered to carry an advance payment for the first 3 nights of stay in the name of the hotel director. Of course, it is somewhat dumb to transfer money in cash via Western Union to an individual (if anything, there are practically no chances to return them), but the fears were not justified, the administrator called back about receiving the prepayment in a day.
So: booked a standard room "A" on the 2nd floor with a balcony for 14 days. Upon arrival in Miskhor, you can see the Rubicon sign, a gate and a small 2-storey building from the road. The receptionist who greeted us took us to our room. It was on the same floor as the entrance. To a surprised question, what about the 2nd floor and the balcony, the girl opened the door to the balcony, and it turned out that the building was on a rather steep slope, and on the other side of the building it was actually the 2nd floor, and quite high. It should be noted that we did not see rooms located towards the road, all windows and balconies are directed towards the sea. From our balcony, between tall cypresses, one could see the sea in one direction, and Ai-Petri in the other. Beautiful.
Declared in all brochures and on the site 300 meters from the sea is a steep descent, on which it is inconvenient to walk with a small child. The beach rented from the sanatorium "Ukraine" is located 200-300 meters from the exit to the embankment. Therefore, we went to the beach through the territory of "Ukraine", since this path is much more gentle (it is more convenient to go with a child), shady, and is, in fact, a well-groomed park. For lazy people, there is the Marata cable car to the beach (20 hryvnias in both directions), there is a Ukraina elevator (6 hryvnias), but we used the Marata cable car only once - just to ride our son, and that’s all time to walk. In general, there was no big strain in these walks - 10 minutes at a leisurely pace.
Beach. Quite crowded but clean. Entrance by passes is free, for renting a sun lounger for the day it is proposed to pay 20 hryvnia per person. They never took it. The pebbles are small enough that even a 4-year-old child could walk barefoot on it, but at the same time large enough not to clog under swimming trunks after sitting on the surf line with their booty.
There is a toilet, free of charge, 30 meters from the beach.
They say that Miskhor has the warmest sea in all of Crimea. This is probably true, because for all 2 weeks the water temperature did not drop below 24’C, and next door there were vacationers on the beach who came from the west coast, where the water was 15-16 degrees. Water is the purest. If the sea is calm, then from the edge of the pier, where the depth is about 4 meters (when diving to the bottom, it puts a lot of pressure on my ears, as a non-diver), algae and pebbles at the bottom are visible from above.
Room and hotel staff. Good solid room, clean, on the windows - mosquito net. Air conditioning, safe, standard 2-door wardrobe, coat hangers. The room has an electric kettle (other hotels do not allow the use of an imported boiler) and a hairdryer. In addition to the double bed there is an extra bed - a folding sofa. The furniture is all new, not shabby. In the bedside table under the TV - 2 plates, 2 glasses, 2 cups with saucers, a set of spoons, forks, knives. Refrigerator (works like a beast, but silently). Telephone. The bathroom is quite large in area - about 3.5x1.8 m, shower. Hot and cold water around the clock. A heated towel rail with faucets - on the first day I noticed that water was dripping a little on the floor from this faucet - after contacting the reception, the faucet was repaired within half an hour. All toiletries (soap, shampoo, some kind of gel, caps) are available. Toilet paper + spare roll. An interesting point: on the wall near the toilet paper is attached a small plastic box with the inscription “for lady”. It contains small plastic bags (due to my darkness I didn’t know what happens : ), I haven’t seen this in 5 * Turkish hotels). Large, small and beach towels for each resident, changed EVERY DAY for clean ones. Bed linen is changed every 3-4 days, I can’t say for sure, but for 2 weeks of stay they changed it four times. They clean the room during their stay on the beach, once returned for a camera and found the cleaning lady - she said hello and left so as not to disturb me. Pleasantly tactful behavior of the staff in general. The breakfast is good - there is also a dairy kitchen - every day there is porridge, and just hot milk, you can cook cereal, muesli or chocolate balls like Nesquik (I don’t know what they are called correctly). At the same time, two types of fermented milk products are yogurt and kefir. At the same time, two types of salad (fresh), at the same time 2 types of meat (chops - sausages - roast on the ribs - cutlets alternated), garnish (rice-pasta-buckwheat-potatoes alternated), boiled eggs, scrambled eggs or scrambled eggs, 2 types of juices, tea - coffee bags of your choice. Cakes or sweet pie. Fruits (watermelon, melon, chopped peaches).
Yes, even breakfast included ice cream (2 types at the same time) - take as much as you want... This is my main sadness - I didn’t notice ice cream on the first day...
We spent lunch and dinner there - they cook very well, my son ate normally without persuasion. There is a children's menu with reduced portions, and the price is 2 times lower, which is also nice. As an indicator, people from neighboring boarding houses came to eat at Mother-in-Law, so when visiting a restaurant at rush hour, it was not always possible to find a place, and the waiting time for an order was up to 40-50 minutes. Then we just started to come and order a little earlier, the problem disappeared. The waitress girls in beautiful suits (and the waiter guys in bloomers) were friendly, helped to navigate the menu and cooking time, Victoria was especially fascinated by us, we even tried to figure out her tables (they changed by shifts). At night, the territory is guarded, outsiders are not allowed. One night I woke up due to the fact that some amused youth tried to break through the territory of the complex to the sea, the censored part of the conversation with the guards was that they were local. Didn't miss. Yes, there is a guarded parking lot on the territory, the Kursk Camry stood there for the first 3 days - hello fellow countrymen!

Well, that's probably all. Summing up, I want to say that my wife, a supporter of foreign holidays, came to the conclusion that this was the first place where she wants to return. And I knowingly took her there : ) . And somehow I have nothing to wish for improvement. Well, if only to add staff to the kitchen "At the mother-in-law" in order to wait less for an order even at "rush hour".
