Journey to Abkhazia
I'll tell you about a trip to Abkhazia. It seems that the most positive feedback about the country is if you want to repeat the trip.
Abkhazia is truly an amazing country. We lived in the Pitsunda area, and the territory of the recreation center was buried in pine trees. It was so nice to wake up at dawn, when through the branches the gentle September sun woke gently. Squirrels jumped on the branches rejoicing at the new day. And to see off the sun sitting on the seashore, watching how slowly it sinks and disappears over the horizon. The sea has not yet cooled down, but the sun is no longer so scorching. This is the advantage of a holiday in September. We didn’t get burned, but we had a lot of swimming and warmed up on pebbles and sand.
In general, I concluded that you need to go to Abkhazia either by your own car or with a company, and rent a car. I was very pleased with the excursions, but all of them were "galloping through Europe", everything is very fast, you do not have time to enjoy the magnificence of nature.
I traveled with my three year old daughter. The most memorable walk seemed to me a trip to Lake MZy, with a stop at the Gegsky waterfall. On the UAZ off-road, and where on the rocks. 7 km walk to the lake itself, but I didn’t dare to walk with a child, we rented a horse. We walked a little anyway, ate mountain blueberries and drank water from the purest streams. The Geg waterfall is certainly an unusual sight, it is definitely worth a visit. But then again, on a tour it's too fast.
Of course, we were on Lake Ritsa, you have to go there for the whole day. I didn’t like the tour, there was only enough time to take photos, we didn’t even have time to ride on the boat. But the lake is beautiful, the views are amazing.
Gagra was struck by mud and some kind of abandonment, Pitsunda is better.
For me, it is necessary to go to Abkhazia in order to enjoy the beautiful nature, it is really unusual there.
