Hello! We rested at the Aibga Hotel together with my husband on September 20-28.2015. We traveled by car, the road from Moscow to Gagra is quite decent, we got there quite easily (only a little strained the serpentine from Dzhubga to Sochi). We were only 15 minutes at the border. We arrived at the hotel early, so we did not even expect a quick check-in. I was immediately pleased with the warm welcome of the staff (and during the entire vacation there were no complaints against the staff). We left our things in the car, changed clothes in the guest shower on the 1st floor and went to the sea (to the central beach go at a slow pace for about 5 minutes), and at 13.00 we were already settled. My husband and I love to travel both in Russia and abroad, so we have something to compare with. This year, going to Abkhazia and having read reviews on the Internet, we were mentally ready to return to the "scoop", but we were pleasantly surprised! The hotel is fully consistent with the description and photos on the site! The territory is small, but very well-groomed, which is a huge rarity for hotels in Abkhazia (we can firmly state this, because during the vacation we walked several times New and Old Gagra along and across. Old hotels of the Stalinist buildings with chic gardens have not been restored in 20 years after the war, and new ones are being built on patches of land with a minimum territory). We lived in room 45 on the 4th floor with a corner balcony (view from the room of the city with a piece of the sea on one side and mountains on the other), the room is spacious, clean, the furniture is quite decent, a wide 2-bed (though the pillows are uncomfortable with lumps filler). Change of linen every 2-3 days, towels are issued only 2 pieces - small and large. There is a safe in the room, which was very pleasing against the background of stories about frequent thefts in the country. The pool is very comfortable, cleaned every night! Decent tennis table, hammocks, sun loungers. . Parking in the backyard was very pleased with its size. Everywhere video surveillance! Breakfasts - as in any hotel, the same type - milk porridge, fried eggs / boiled eggs, sausage, cheese, yogurt, kefir, cereal, tea and coffee (by the way, there are coolers on each floor, so you can drink tea and coffee in the room ). Basically, we didn't go hungry. . Of the shortcomings, we were a little irritated by the lack of a table and chairs on the balcony (but we, as experienced travelers, took tourist chairs with us, which we had to drag to the balcony). There is still no “barbecue” zone where you could fry your barbecue in the evening (because “public catering” periodically bothers you, and for some reason, in local canteens / cafes / restaurants, barbecue came across mostly not very tasty, overdried... By the way, the most delicious cooking in the restaurant "Caucasian cuisine" in old Gagra). Already at the check-out, we were told at the reception that it could be arranged at our request, but somehow it didn’t occur to us to ask about it, because there was no special place reserved for this on the territory. In conclusion, I want to write that by the end of the vacation, every time we approached our hotel, we mentally rejoiced that we had stayed in it and unanimously concluded that if we go to Abkhazia, then only to the Aibga Hotel !! !

I read reviews, both bad and good, but to our surprise, the boarding house turned out to be very beautiful, clean, bright and more than comfortable. Here are my impressions: the territory is fenced and the door on the territory is locked and no matter what time you return from a walk or excursion, the door will always be opened for you; it also means that there are no strangers on the territory. An artificial small waterfall has been made on the territory and in the evening sitting on a bench with a loved one and listening to the murmur of water - isn't that happiness ? ! There is also a swimming pool on the territory (illumination, water is heated) and if the weather does not allow swimming in the sea, please swim at least in the morning, at least in the afternoon, at least in the evening. I swam even late at night and in the rain - it was warm and comfortable. There is parking on the territory, for those who travel by car (and vandals are not terrible, again, plus a fenced area). I read in reviews that the rooms are not cleaned and bed linen is not changed. We had this: bed linen is changed once every four days, which suited me perfectly, and the room was always clean, because my husband and I are not "assholes" and we can fill the pastel ourselves and not scatter anything, but coming from a walk ( after 17-00 hours) the garbage was taken out, the toilet bowl and sink were clean - we didn’t need anything else. In the room, the TV was not new, but it works and there is a cable TNT : -), a refrigerator, a hair dryer. In the toilet there is a shower stall, a toilet bowl, a sink - everything is clean and beautiful (no mold, soap streaks). There is a bed, two bedside tables, a linen closet with a safe, a table with a mirror in the room, a dryer was found outside the door of the room, which was very much needed! If you are going to see the sea, take a walk, go on excursions, and not spend the whole vacation in a room, then this is quite enough!! ! I also read that when you leave the boarding house - a garbage dump; this is true, but not the way I imagined it, but three iron tanks, so if this bothers you, when you exit the gate, go not to the right, but to the left, and after entering the roadway, go further where you need. I also want to say that the boarding house is located near the "Stella" (this is how the locals call the square on which the "golden ball" is located), and when ordering an excursion, if you order it not at the boarding house, the meeting point can be appointed there. It was also embarrassing that there was no dinner at the boarding house (two meals a day), but we got out of the situation: we brought fruit from excursions (persimmons, tangerines, grapes, pears) and, if not very hungry, ate fruit, bought cookies with tea (on there is a cooler on the ground floor). And, when we wanted something more substantial, we went to the Smile cafe, where they cook tasty home-style and not expensive. The boarding house food is tasty and plentiful. Rest with pleasure and remember with what mood you will go, in this color everything around will be presented. So I wish you a positive mood!! !

We had to leave the hotel three days after arrival, hoping to get to the Russian doctors. The money for the remaining seven days at the hotel was not returned to us. Be careful, staying in this hotel is dangerous and financially expensive. Of the pluses, I can only highlight the presence of Wi-Fi, a pool and a balcony. P. S. Keep in mind that the ambulance in Gagra does not carry pills and injections, and in pharmacies medicines cost three times more than in Russia. Therefore, always carry the necessary medicines with you.

The room was a 2-room junior suite. spacious, lots of furniture, split system in every room, but there is really only one remote control. the shower is normal, every day they remove the garbage and once every three days they washed the floors and changed the bed. the room has a refrigerator, a TV in one room, but the first minus in the room is the available balcony, which is only suitable for drying clothes. you won’t be able to sit and relax there, because it’s very narrow and you can’t put a chair, and even more so a table. there are really rooms where the balconies are not narrow, but there is still no furniture there. just drying clothes and that's it. there are also no kettles in the rooms, they said that the hotel has coolers with hot water from mountain springs, but the biggest problem of rest in Abkhazia is diarrhea and vomiting, and as I later realized from the local water (I stopped drinking it and everything went away). the hotel was chosen based on the presence of a pool for children, but the children did not swim there, in contrast to the rest last year in Divnomorsk at the gloris hotel. they say petty and dirty. And there weren't really any kids there. Well, this is all nonsense compared to the most important thing - the food that they impose on us there. Buffet but nothing to take. for breakfast every day pancakes (frozen semi-finished products) and two types of milk porridge, 90% of water, for lunch there are two pans with an incomprehensible content. everyone comes up, interferes with a ladle and does not catch what it is. for the second every day, dry boiled wings, dry rice or dry pilaf stuffed with spices. they can serve stew, but all this is not only not appetizing, but also not tasty at all, and it was so disappointing, because I wanted the children to be full without any problems, since food is included in the price, but they had to be fed on the side. the only thing that was good about the food was that there was no dinner and you could have a delicious dinner, by the way, in a cafe on the "prestige" embankment. Everything is delicious there (they were refreshed there). for Thai massage. I didn’t, but there are 3 people from Thailand (they speak Russian very badly). one girl cleans the rooms, the second in the dining room (I think she also does massage), the third cleans the hotel territory and works in the kitchen in the chef's cap - the chef probably. about Abkhazia: the sea is super in color, as before there were turquoise glasses, although it was a little worried, but transparent. The embankment is crumbling and needs repair. ghosts are everywhere. nature is great. I may go to Abkhazia (to Pitsunda), but not to Aibga. don't waste your money. now I understand why there were practically no places anywhere, and there were also options.
