We rested together in this hotel in February 2008 for 15 days. First of all, I would like to note the architecture of the hotel, here you can safely put 5+, everything is in gold, very beautiful - in fact, a palace. We had a room with a sea view, LCD TV, every day they brought a large bowl of fruit and small chocolates in a box)) The beach is very large, but just awful!! ! The sunbeds are all plastic, they put only a towel on them, hard... it feels like you are relaxing in a 3-star hotel when you go to the beach !! ! The bottom of the sea was half in the stones, there are sea urchins on them... In general, a beach holiday in this hotel is just a disaster !!!
Although the hotel has 2 pools, one of them will be very popular with children (there are 2 slides and the water circulates in a circle, you can just lie down and you will be carried along). There is also a very good playground.
The hotel is pompous, many Arabs go there just to restaurants, but you shouldn’t take very fancy outfits from clothes, no one goes there in evening dresses, maximum light summer dresses, and so many go in tracksuits, in jeans.

There are only 2 normal restaurants in the hotel, these are on the beach (opposite the central exit to the beach) and on the first floor in the west wing (it's cheaper here, but not much). On average, dine for 2.300 derhams ($ 80), without alcoholic drinks (I don’t know how much they cost there, because I don’t drink alcohol at all). But the food is very tasty, the portions are huge. I really do not advise a restaurant with Persian cuisine, they cook disgustingly there. I don’t advise the buffet either, 500 derhams for 2 (although if you are traveling with children, then the children seem to eat there for free). In all other restaurants the food is also not tasty.
Shops in Abu Dhabi are normal, of those worth visiting are Marina Mall (5 minutes by taxi from the hotel) and Abu Dhabi Mall.
The most unpleasant thing is that in the hotel room in the bathroom I hung my swimsuit (very beautiful and expensive) to dry, after which I never saw it again. My swimsuit is gone! And this is in one of the best hotels!
In general, there is no particular desire to return to this hotel! Plus, the road from Dubai takes about 2 hours (we took a taxi to Dubai, it costs about 170 Derhams one way, if not from the hotel).
