We rested at Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort from May 06.2011 to May 14.2011. It was our honeymoon trip. Firstly, I want to say that at this time there is nothing to do in the UAE - unbearable heat, super high humidity, it is simply impossible to breathe. The first couple of days it was still more or less, and then the heat in the shade +40, the sea +26, the pool +30. Conclusion - to go there no later than March-April. There are no special complaints about the hotel. We were well received. At the reception there are two Russian-speaking girls Elena and Nadia. Many thanks to them, they always helped in all matters. In the room we were waiting for a chocolate cake with congratulations and fruit. The rooms are spacious, all with sea views. We lived on the 12th floor, a superior room with a balcony (standards are all without balconies) - a view of the ocean, of tankers pouring oil into its waters. . . Every morning, a huge greeting appears on the sand to hotel guests wishing them a good day. Every evening, a postcard is placed under the door with views of the UAE and a good night wish, as well as a leaflet with a schedule of all entertainment programs for the next day. The service is excellent. Room cleaning daily. Change of linen - on request: you need to leave a special postcard on the bed. Towels to be changed (well, it's like everywhere else), to be changed, you need to throw them on the floor. The rooms have bathrobes, slippers, iron, ironing board, hairdryer, kettle. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar and 2 bottles of 0.5 liters. water bottles are replenished daily. The rest of the water you need to buy, the price is for 0.5 liters. about 2 dollars. So if you went somewhere outside the hotel, then take care of some water, in the city the price for it is 1 dirham - for 1.5 liters. It's about 0.3 dollars. The furniture in the room is a bit old, TV - an old box, not plasma. The mini-bar is replenished as the "sample", but the prices also "bite" - beer 0.33 about $ 8. Food is normal. From Friday to Sunday - excellent, while the Arabs are resting in the hotel. From Monday to Thursday - to put it mildly, modestly. There is nowhere else to eat, there are no shops, the nearest settlement is 25 kilometers away. Free buses run from the hotel every other day to Dubai and Fujairah. We went to Dubai so as not to buy a tour for $ 100 per person. According to the guide we noted what we want to visit and see. In Dubai, we traveled by metro, convenient, easy and not expensive. Climbing the tallest building in the world, the Burji Khalifa. An immediate ascent there costs 110 dollars, by prior order, at least 1 hour before the ascent - the price is 30 dollars. Guides do not warn about this, so our citizens, who bought an excursion for 100 dollars, paid another 110 for the tower (they later told). Separate impressions from the meeting party - the "TRAVKO" company, the representative of this company to Mindaugas - it's HORRIBLE! During an excursion to the neighboring country of Oman, we were simply forgotten there. After leaving the port of Oman from the ship, we stayed for a long time in the port. And only by chance meeting, after some time, with the owner of the ship, we asked him for help and he called us a car. But that is not all. Travko also did not send us a car for the return transfer to the airport. Again, thanks to Hope. who first called us a taxi, raised the whole company to its feet. As a result, 5 minutes before boarding, a car from Travko arrived in a taxi. And finally, the MAIN THING - THE OCEAN! We have never left the water without oil. I will definitely post a photo on the site of the top hotels. There was oil every day, and it always happens there. Representatives of tour companies lie that this phenomenon is rare. Before entering the Persian Gulf, tankers simply pour ballast into the water. On the shore every 20 meters there are signs "Attention! There is oil on the beach! " There are special napkins and scrapers near the trash cans to remove it from the skin of the body and from shoes. By the way, in the neighboring "Marimar" there is a shortage of napkins, they were not too lazy to run half a kilometer to us for napkins. Nearby hotels are Rotana and Marimar (this is just information just in case that there is oil there too). Summary: In the Emirates more than a foot! The hotel is good, but it is in the wrong place.
