So - RAMADA hotel, sharjah. Travel agency - NEWS TRAVEL. Host of al khalidiah tourism.
Reviewed a lot of options for hotels and settled on a hotel / apartment
RAMADA HOTEL APARTMENT SHARJAH. The tour package cost 21500 UAH = 2590 UAH for three (2 adults + a girl 14 years old) for 11 nights in mid-January with breakfast and visas. (Visas for 65 ye - 2 pieces for three)
We flew with budget Arab airlines Air Arabia. Airbus 320. Flight from Kyiv to Sharjah about 4.5 hours, back 5.2 hours. Everything is as usual - smooth takeoff, flight and landing. Of the features - food is not included in the price of the flight, but you can buy everything on board except alcohol. By the way, about alcohol. Contrary to popular belief, you can bring as much alcohol into Sharjah as you want - no one pays attention to it. I was told about this in duty free in Kyiv, and after that I myself was personally convinced of this. In duty free in Sharjah, it is also sold in sufficient quantity, but more expensive.

So, on January 9.2014, we landed at the airport in Sharjah. I used to be in many airports, but here I immediately got the feeling that I was in another world. Pakistanis, Hindus and Arabs in national dress walked back and forth at the airport. There were very few Europeans. In other Arab countries, we have not seen them in such a large number in one place at the same time. A very colorful sight. At the airport, everything is simple - first, an eye scan, then checking passports and visas, picking up luggage, going out into the street, where the guide meets, we sit down in minibuses / buses, and go to the hotel. We got to the hotel pretty quickly, because. our hotel was the first on the route.
We were met at the hotel, at the reception there was a Russian-speaking Said, about whom they wrote so much and spoke well. I note right away that I personally had a completely opposite opinion about him, and I even had a flash of the thought that he wrote these reviews himself. By tradition, we gave him a beautiful chocolate bar, and asked for a higher number, because. According to reviews, they read that the higher the better, and you can’t hear the mosque. We were very happy when Said handed us a card from room 2501 (the first 2 digits are the floor), i. е. on the 25th floor.
The check-in itself is very fast, a few minutes of filling out the documents, Said issued a card for the room and wrote the password for the Internet. (we first had 23060 for a week, then 69532 - maybe it will come in handy for someone)
Didn't explain anything else. Neither about how to connect to this Internet, nor about the fact that you can ask for bathrobes and slippers, nor about the fact that you can ask for an adapter to sockets. And also, he forgot to mention that the windows of all rooms that end in 01 and 08 (the first 2 digits are the floor, and the second two digits are the number on the floor) go directly to the courtyard in which the mosque is located. But more on that later. By the way, the windows and balconies are closed in all rooms, supposedly for security purposes, but you can ask for them to be opened for you, and you will need to sign a paper that this is at your own peril and risk.
So, we took the elevator to our 25th, the elevators, I’ll immediately notice, are of very good quality and quite fast, although in the morning at “rush hour”, when everyone goes for breakfast, you can get into a “traffic jam” and stop on almost every floor .
The room is really the same as in the photos, and corresponds to all previous reviews, so I will not describe it. Here you can watch my video description of room 2501
http://www.youtube.com/watch? v=ggtaIw7RHcI

I will only note that the room is really very large, the kitchen is equipped with everything you need - plates, forks, spoons, knives, pots, pans, cups, plates, etc. There is everything you need to cook your own food. By the way, this moment was decisive in favor of this hotel, with our choice of accommodation. I would also like to note that the numbers in the pictures look a little better than they actually are due to the fact that the numbers are not the first freshness, and here and there stains on carpets, tiles, etc. are visible. trifle. But this does not spoil the impression.
I had to tinker with the Internet connection a little, because. Said did not explain at all how this is done, but here you need to know a certain sequence of actions. He also did not talk about the fact that 2 devices cannot access the Internet at the same time. Then I had to deal with the adapter for sockets, in order to turn on the plug from the laptop I had to sweat. Brought bathrobes and slippers look very cheap, cheap.
The taps with water in the room were mixed up - from cold - warm, from hot - cold, besides, the cold water had a clearly brown color. Toilet paper is very thin and cheap.
The biggest surprise for me was the mosque, where prayers began around 6 am (our Kiev time is 4 am). This chant began in such a way that I had the feeling that suddenly someone suddenly turned on the tape recorder in the room at the highest volume. First, for 5 minutes. Then it calmed down. Then again, and for 15 minutes in a madness. I was dumbfounded by this. And I immediately remembered that in the reviews there was something about the mosque, but they wrote that you couldn’t hear the mosque in the rooms on the upper floors! And I couldn't sleep that day. I was very angry that I could not get enough sleep from the road, and in the morning we immediately went to the reception and stated that there was such a problem, and we wanted to change the room. Said was no longer there at that moment, and the English-speaking friend said “no problem”, come up to 15 o’clock, Said will be there, and you can easily solve this problem with him, this is not a question at all. OK. We come to 15-00 - Said is not there. We explain our problem again to another manager, the manager of SaEd begins to tell that there are no normal free rooms yet, come by 17-00, and we will give you a number in the other direction, supposedly it will be free by this time. I say - Ok, no problem, we will collect things for now, and we will wait "on the suitcases" I go up to 16-00 - I think let me find out. Said is already there - I explain the problem to him, he pretends that he is starting to solve something. In general, they taunted us for quite a long time, until I insisted on a meeting with the manager, who took me to the 17th floor to show another room (and he didn’t do it right away, but also stared at the computer monitor for a long time and pretended that something was there looking for). Room 1702. Video description of room 1702 here:

This room overlooks 2 sides - the courtyard where the mosque and a little on the road. In short, almost the same, in terms of noise, a little better, but by that time we were already so tired of their bickering, and in principle we realized that there were no “quiet” rooms in this hotel, that we agreed to this room. The mosque, by the way, was heard less here, the cleaning was better, and the room itself was better, from a hot water tap - hot, from a cold tap - cold, the Internet worked on 2 devices at once. In January it is not hot and we practically did not use the air conditioner, but if you use it constantly, it makes a lot of noise (2 large blocks are located on the balcony, which is in the children's room)
In general, the first minus is the mosque, which is heard in absolutely all rooms - in some more, in some less. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs.
The second disadvantage, which has already been repeatedly told, is the transfer to the beach.
The third minus is the queues for breakfast and untimely replenishment of breakfast dishes, the restaurant itself is very small and cramped and is not designed for such a large hotel (but due to the fact that it is small, breakfast goes faster, because you don’t have to go for a long time for dishes )
Fourth - in the morning from Sharjah, in the evening to Sharjah constant large traffic jams, except for weekends (Friday and Saturday)
Pros - large spacious rooms, a full kitchen equipped with everything you need, nearby supermarkets - in the Sahara, Carefour and Lu lu, you can cross the Sahara and immediately get to Dubai, normal free parking, free Wi-Fi in the room, there is a transfer to Deira City center . It has a Carefour supermarket where we got non-alcoholic beer and great big fresh shrimp. A cool big DAY to Day store, where there are very cheap souvenirs and a lot of all of which stuff - I advise, it is located next to the entrance to the metro Deira City Center.

The host side of al khalidiah tourism is rated 2 out of 10. We waited for a long time at the airport until the bus arrives, there is no guide on the bus, no information. Then the next day - a meeting with the guide - a young girl Stella, who could not answer a single question normally, before leaving, they did not bring any information about the departure to the room, the reception was also not aware of it. We called this girl back, she apologized and said that the bus would pick us up at 14-30, despite the fact that the plane was at 19-00, and it would take 30 minutes to get to the airport! When asked why so early, she could not give a clear answer.
In short, we didn’t give a damn about their transfer, and their company, and calmly went to the airport at 16-30 by taxi, and spent an additional 2 hours of time in the hotel’s spa complex on the 5th floor, sunbathing in the sun and swimming in the pool. The water in the pool is well heated, but the smell of bleach is very strong.
I advise the hotel to families with children who, like us, plan to rent a car, because every day, first standing in line for breakfast, then trying to squeeze into the bus, onto the beach and from the beach, I consider it humiliating for a normal holiday. We rented a car for 8 days and traveled all over the UAE. I liked driving along the perfectly flat and wide Emirati highways, I really liked the White Mosque in Abu Dhabi, a walk to the Indian Ocean, Jumeirah Beach with a gorgeous view of the Burj Al Arab Hotel, Al Mamzar Beach (to which the bus takes from the hotel) is also cool , I really liked Dubai Marina with artificial canals and a beautiful promenade, walking along which is a pleasure. I liked the water in the Persian Gulf, a pleasant turquoise color. All in all, the holiday was a success! Disadvantages are everywhere, and if you are ready for them (for example, knowing in advance about the mosque at 6 am, I would take earplugs with me), they will not overshadow your vacation. Good luck everyone! If you have any questions - ask in the comments, I will definitely answer.
