First acquaintance with Italy and travel agency Sakums

Once again looking through my photos from the trip, and having free time, I decided to write a review about the travel company "Sakums". We went with them on a trip to Europe, namely the tour "Introduction to Italy" from 19.08. to 29.08. Everything started not very smoothly for us, because the tour was postponed from the 5th to the 19th, due to problems at the consulate, it was necessary to add some more documents. But on the other hand, what I really liked was that three days before the departure there were already passports with open visas. This is very convenient, since the group gathers from different cities and it was necessary to somehow organize a trip to Chop. And the exit from Chop is somehow very well thought out. From the train, everyone quickly transferred to the bus, just as quickly got to customs, well, we can say that they passed it. Although in my modest practice, for the first time out of four, all our bags were completely checked, but it did not take long. But we went through customs back with a bang! And all thanks to our group leader Katerina Bagdasaryan and Zhanna Alexandrovna, the director of the Sakums travel agency. Well, since I have already begun about the leader of the group, I will sing praises to Katerina already for all her virtues. First, and most importantly, in my opinion, is professionalism. And that says it all, a man in his place, knows his job thoroughly, and most importantly loves it. Katerina, in my opinion, embodied all the qualities that a real team leader should have - kind, calm, sympathetic, knows how to resolve conflict situations, even not so, knows how to avoid conflict situations, all questions have answers and advice. Very correctly, at the beginning of the tour, the acquaintance of tourists was carried out, this rallied our group. Katerina has interesting information, both historical and informative, about the countries and cities that we visited. The selection of audio and video accompaniment should also be noted.

Well, now directly about the tour. The tourist route is thought out very competently, except for the NIGHT moving to Balaton, well, this, in the end, is not fatal, you just need to warn tourists about this in advance. There is enough time at Balaton to rest after such a long journey. Our journey began with baths in the town of Egerszalok. After washing up from the road, we went for a wine and goulash tasting in a wine cellar in the Valley of Beauties in the city of Eger. Their wine is very good, but they begin to dilute the goulash with water, it used to be tastier. Having eaten from the belly and tasted all the wines, we went to Budapest. I love Budapest very much and will probably come to this city more than once. That's just to learn their language a little bit, and then there is nothing at all. In Budapest, everything is according to the knurled program, first a sightseeing tour, during which it was not possible to see the Royal Hunt fountain in the palace, then the baths of Count Szecheniy, then a boat trip along the Danube and these majestic and magnificent BRIDGES !!! Impressions cannot be compared with anything, the entire embankment, including the Parliament and bridges, is illuminated. And what I liked is that in Budapest, in general, as in other cities, there is still enough free time. Having experience of traveling with other tour operators, I want to say that it is not always possible to have time to buy souvenirs, not to mention sitting somewhere in a cafe, and on this tour I managed to do almost everything, well, if not everything, then a lot.

After Budapest we went to Ljubljana, a small town with its own style and atmosphere. I would come there again to climb the fortress, because this time I could not do it due to health reasons. It should be said that we were very lucky with the weather, it was so hot that one could die, but somehow it was not so sad there. After Ljubljana we went to Venice. Well, that's where it all started. In Venice, 1 day, whatever one may say, is not enough, even for a minimum program, just like in Florence and two days in Rome. You need to stay in these cities for at least a week. I want to talk about city guides. All guides, except for Venice, really liked, especially in Rome and Florence. In Venice, the guide was mean and rude to tourists. Conducting an excursion with headphones is very conveniently thought out, everything is audible and you can have time to take a picture.

The hotels along the entire route were pretty decent, the hotel in Rome let us down a bit, but it was very close to the metro station.

I also want to say about Katya, in every city we were provided with maps, several times she told us how to get to this or that place, how to return to the hotel, how to get somewhere. Therefore, no one got lost during the tour and we returned to our homeland in full force.

Special thanks to our drivers Vitaly and Vasily Ivanovich, but they transported us safe and sound throughout Europe, and then brought us home. The bus was clean and comfortable, the drivers were professionals, they gave a hand to everyone when they got off the bus, they always helped with bags.

In general, I am very satisfied with the trip, and, believe me, I have something to compare with. I would love to go somewhere from the tour operator Sakums!
