The trip to the ski resort was spontaneous. I met the company on the forum and decided to go. The tour was taken in Ascent 3 weeks before the trip. We took the Lisa apartment at the Windschnur hotel for three.

A week before the trip, our documents were ready.

And finally, the day of departure came. We flew from Domodedovo at 15-25 by Ural Airlines. We met at the airport at 12:00, checked in for the flight, put the skis in bulky luggage and went for a walk around the airport. We didn’t manage to overweight with skis, because we could carry 40 kg.

The flight was delayed by 30 minutes. We flew well, in Salzburg we were met by a representative of the Ascent company and told which bus we should take.

It took about 2 hours 40 minutes to Mayrhofen. On the bus, we bought sleep passes (Super Ski Pass valid throughout the Ziller Valley) for 6 days of skiing with a 5% discount. Pretty quickly they took everyone to their hotels. Ours was one of the last, but most of the people who traveled with us lived in it.

We were met by the hostess of the hotel, we filled out a questionnaire and she gave us the keys. We liked the apartments. There was enough space: 2 rooms, kitchen + dining room, bathroom + toilet, corridor.

We left skis and boots in the Ski-room.

In the evening we went for a walk around the town - a small Austrian town with crowds of noisy Germans and Russians singing songs until 4 am.

The next day in the morning we went to sign up for the Ski School. Took 2 days of classes.

With a little delay, we climbed the Penken to the meeting point with the instructor. Our instructor was a German, 60 years old named Tobias.

In the first half of the day we rode the red and blue pistes near Penkena. After lunch we were divided into 2 groups: advanced and beginners. We are in the advanced group.

And then, for 2 days we rode together and with him mostly on red slopes, doing the exercises that he showed.

We liked it, but next time, if I take an instructor, it will be only individually.

The second and third days were heavy fog and snow, but we still went to ride. It was great. On the third day, when we were already riding on our own, we were on Eggalm - there is a very beautiful track in the forest, however, on that day, due to snowfall and fog, we could not fully enjoy this beauty.

On the 4th day we went to the Arena. This is a huge ski area. We got there by train. It was sunny that day and we even sunbathed during lunch. One day at the Arena is not enough - it's simply unrealistic to go around it all, and considering my level of skating, all the more so. . .

On the 5th day we went to Ahorn. There are only, if my memory serves me, 8 slopes. Half blue and half red. And one track descends directly into the city, to the ski lift. We drove along it, but in some places it had already begun to thaw and there was ice somewhere.

On the last day, the 6th, we went to the Glacier. We got there in 40 minutes by bus. Buses run every 20 minutes.

We were very lucky with the weather - it was sunny and clear. We climbed to the very top - to the observation deck, there we got a lot of beautiful photos.

Now a little about the cafes and restaurants of Mayrhofen:

really liked the Trout restaurant which is outside of Marchofen. It's a 15 minute walk, but it's worth it!

Not far from the Bruck hotel, we had dinner at the Perauer restaurant - very tasty and reasonable prices.

Opposite the Penken lift there is a butcher shop - you can eat there and take it with you. Everything is delicious and cheap.

There are several discos, but the most popular and numerous is in the Bruck Hotel - I don't remember its exact name.

There are also bars with live music:

Sport Lounge next to Hotel Strass - live music almost every day.

Mo's is not far from the gift shop but has live music on Wednesdays and Fridays.

There are a lot of shops where you can find things for every taste. Lots of sports shops. Not far from the Manni Hotel there is a souvenir shop (with green signs) - you can find everything there! We bought all the souvenirs there.

We flew back in the evening. We were picked up from the hotel around 12:00. We arrived at the airport around 2:30 pm. Checked in for the flight, handed over the skis. After going through Security control, we found out that our flight was delayed by 2.5 hours. The airport in Salzburg is small but cozy. After Security control, there is only 1 Duty Free store and there are a lot of people there, but the prices there are normal. While they were waiting for the plane, they bought there.

The trip was great! A sea of positive emotions for a long time!

I will definitely come back to Mayrhofen!
