Cafes (although we were only in two - opposite the Flamingo Hotel and next to the Dobruja Hotel) did not make an impression (country furniture, no comfort, style, beautiful serving, male waiters under 45 in stretched T-shirts). Chicken skewers - 120 grams - 6 levs - edible, but without seasonings, a little undercooked, pizza 400 grams - 10 levs - no taste. The beer is good. The hotel has its own swimming pool - three sections - for toddlers, older children and adults. The pool looks tired, there is no lighting. Subsequently, I realized that it is no worse than other hotel pools, and maybe even better than separate ones. . All the shortcomings are covered by the impressions of the clear sea, sand, spaciousness, a kind of provincial in a good sense and quiet atmosphere, the availability of free sun loungers in sufficient quantities, a good buffet (soft cheese and jelly were at their best). The room was cleaned every day by nice maids, sheets changed 3 or 4 times in 11 nights. Products in Albena are 2.5-3 times more expensive than in Minsk (milk, juice, water). No choice. Prices for souvenirs are more expensive than in Sunny Beach last year. I read on the Internet about an inexpensive shop near the bus station, but did not reach it. We went to the Flamingo Hotel, the class is visible, but it’s noisy around the pools during the day, the hotel building is tall and wide, - not mine. Hotels near the beach - Dobrotitsa, Kaliakra look more comfortable. Perhaps I will come to the hotel again, but for 7 days there is not enough Bulgarian flavor: buildings in the national style, inexpensive and neat cafes, shops.

The room has a bunk bed, two wardrobes, kitchen furniture, a table, two chairs, a refrigerator, but it only works if a plate with a key is plugged into the general switch in the room, a TV, two air conditioners, bedside tables, a sliding chair, a balcony table with chairs, there is crockery and cutlery. When checking in, the hotel manager asked her husband for a tip, saying how much to give him - this is the only ugly moment in our entire trip. Gave in rubles, at his request. They are not quite satisfied with the cleaning, although they always left a tip, the linen was changed every other day, but the floor was still washed and was not clean. We lived on the second floor, but immediately upon entering the room you feel dampness, the smell of sewerage, the water did not go well into the shower room and flowed directly to the floor from the hole, where it should drain on the contrary, once a plumber came with a plunger, but it didn’t help, because this is a development problem, ants crawl in the room. Breakfasts in the restaurant of another hotel are higher class, not far at all, the food was generally satisfied - there were fruits, porridge, and traditional omelettes with sausages. . . Sometimes they fried bacon, there was always pickled sprat - very tasty. Cottage cheese for Russian taste is not very good. . . Various cheese snacks, of course, cheese and Bulgarian vegetables, traditionally toasts, muffins and cookies, fruit yogurt on Bulgarian yogurt (sour milk), left full, drank natural pear juice, because the coffee from the machine is tasteless and tea bags. . . In principle, they took only breakfasts, since in Bulgaria it is better to try national dishes in restaurants, which are many and they are fed there cheaply, tasty and satisfying. In general, they are satisfied with the hotel, and the Albena resort itself was very pleasant. A LOT of greenery and playgrounds.

It was important for us that the hotel was located on the 1st coastline, a good clean beach and a gentle entrance to the water, the presence of a swimming pool (our baby is a "waterfowl"), good food (suitable for a child) and the presence of a refrigerator, balcony, air conditioning and bathrooms, comfortable beds. At the same time, the price should not be exorbitant. The special beauty of the hotel and animation was not required. We got all this in "Caliope". The staff was polite and tried their best to help in solving small problems. When booking a tour, I asked for a room not on the first floor (I had read in the reviews that it was damp and noisy), but upon arrival we were settled just on the 1st floor. Since the manager was no longer there, the young man at the reception promised to offer us another room the next morning, which he did in the morning. But we decided to stay where we were originally settled, because the room turned out to be bright, almost sideways, with a direct view of the sea, and was separated from the pool by a tall Christmas tree and a flower bed. And you didn't even have to walk up the stairs. The maid cleaned for 4. The bed and towels were changed very often. We brought our own electric kettle. Refrigerator, air conditioning and TV worked properly. The food (we had breakfast and dinner) was excellent. There was always suitable food for the child. A lot of high-quality fruits (until July 1, later there were noticeably more people in the restaurant and the fruits became worse in quality and less in quantity). For dinner, ice cream and various pastries. Several times there were mussels and shrimps. There was always a choice of meat and fish. One dish from the grill is a must. Strained only lack of drinks for dinner (for a fee at the bar). The currency was changed at the reception at the hotel (the exchange rate in Albena is the same everywhere), in Varna it is more profitable to change. Didn't like the Greek restaurant at the hotel. Slow service, not tasty and overpriced. Separately about the resort. I fell in love with Albena. For me, this is the perfect resort for a family holiday. There are a lot of modern playgrounds for children (free of charge), 2 amusement parks, a lot of entertainment for children and adults (I especially liked family bikes), sports grounds. Huge park area for walking. Silence after 22:00. I have not seen violent drunken youth either. There are two supermarkets and many small shops. Of the minuses, only expensive and not high-speed Wi-Fi. We were driving in our car, so we drove as an excursion along the entire coast of Bulgaria. I liked the old town of Nessebar and the botanical garden Balchik. I didn’t like the dolphinarium in Varna, and I didn’t like Varna itself either. The huge beautiful Seaside Park is in a very neglected state, but there are very cheap carousels for the child. The next summer, the baby again asks for the sea in Albena.

For comparison, I’ll tell you about the Greek restaurant at our hotel, which we got into the second time. . . the first time we came, sat down at a table and sat for about 17 minutes, the waiter came, gave us the menu, and when another 20 minutes had passed.... we got up and left.... the second time we purposefully came to this restaurant (3 waiters for 3 halls. . . !? ) again all the same for 15-17 minutes they waited for the waitress, after the menu, after waiting another 20 minutes, they called her to their table with their voice. . . I will not write how long we waited for the order itself, but it disappointed us very much. . . I find it very difficult to spoil pork.... but it was rubber. . . the only thing that killed hunger is sour cream pizza. . . no one cleared the table. . . 3 empty beer glasses, a full ashtray, an empty plate after the salad. . . we left, the table littered with dishes remained. . . the only advantage of this restaurant is live music, a very positive performer of Greek songs. . . And in general, the rest was a success!! ! Tanned, bathed and brought a lot of positive impressions!! !

Thirdly, as a rule, a lot is forgotten on vacation, and therefore, if excursions were bought immediately upon arrival, it would be possible to remind them as a curator (I have something to compare with - in Thailand, our curator not only took our phone numbers, but and warned about all excursions a day and an hour and a half before the appointed time through the reception).
