Don't go cheap!

Written: 7 january 2008
Travel time: 7 — 14 january 2008
We rested in the ski resort of Bansko from 28.12. 07. to 04.01. 07. I want to say right away: "A chicken is not a bird - Bulgaria is not abroad! " Do not chase cheapness! Firstly, it's not cheap at all (if a normal hotel), and secondly, "non-intrusive" service!

About hotel Pirun 4*. What is wrong:
1 restaurant opened at 8.20 am (10-20 min late)
2 All food (morning and evening) was cold, no matter when you come.
3 Dishes were missing.
4 No variety of food was observed all week.
5 coffee machines did not work well. We had to wait in line for a long time or even leave without drinking. (instead of juices there was an invite, instead of butter - margarine)
6 In the room, through the ventilation there was smoke from the neighboring room.
7 Communication via the Internet is practically impossible, but it is sold. Money is returned only on urgent requirements and only for unused time, not counting the time of all attempts, including attempts by the administration. (10-20min. )

8 The dry ration given for the journey was a mockery!
(a bottle of water, a broken apple. two huge pieces of bread and a small piece of sausage and cheese each)

Good:
1 There are three swimming pools.
2 There is a sauna and a Turkish bath.
3 Rooms are normal. They have a kettle, bathrobes and disposable slippers.
4 a decently organized New Year's Eve dinner with a distribution of seats and a small entertainment program. (in other hotels, people stood in line to get a paid dinner)

About tracks. What is wrong:
1 To get on the lift, you need to go through the battle! (everyone climbs out of line)
2 The slopes are poorly prepared.
3 There is no order on the slopes! People drive as they want. (for example, where people climb on the yokes)
4 There are no maps anywhere with all the tracks. (neither paid nor not paid)
5 There are no signs on the tracks themselves where each one goes (all the time they went to the wrong place).
6 The cafe on the slopes has a very poor assortment of dishes, there are no sweets and desserts at all.
7 Coffee is not tasty everywhere (the cheapest is Neskafe). In grains, in general, they were not found anywhere.
8 One of your photographs will be sold to you for 5 euros.
9 In Bansko itself, there is one solid construction site. (For the year built 100 hotels) gels. )

Good:
1 Many ski schools.
2 The price for a coach for three days is very cheap compared to Peter.
3 Lots of rentals of all ski equipment.
4 There is a kindergarten for small children.

So, what do you conclude: is it worth the trip?
