We were in Bulgaria for the first time, and in principle we were satisfied with the rest. We chose the Vigo hotel on the advice of the Solvex tour operator and did not regret it. At the airport, we were met by a Russian-speaking guide, on the way to the hotel she briefly spoke about the country and its features, as well as about sights and excursions. We arrived at the hotel in the evening, we were immediately placed and we managed to go to dinner. We took a ticket to a double room and meals (breakfast + dinner). The buffet food was rather monotonous, for breakfast: cucumbers, tomatoes, Bulgarian cheese (a la brynza), bread, honey, jam, yoghurts, corn flakes, chocolate balls, milk, tea, eggs, sausage, ham ; for dinner: cucumbers, tomatoes, Bulgarian cheese, salads (cabbage, shopsky, carrots, green salad), for hot dishes: potatoes, fish, meat, pastries, mini cakes, fruits and water (tea and other drinks in the evening - for a fee , we took tea - 1 lev). It's all pretty tasty.
We especially remember one dinner, apparently the authorities came with a revision: local music was playing, we were met at the entrance, offered to pull notes with different wishes from the bowl, all the dishes were more “smart” and each was signed by name, at the end of the dining room (this is not a restaurant). you name it) you could try the local grape vodka "Rakia" and the waiter cut some kind of meat animal into thin slices))) and poured the sauce. But that was only once. The hotel is located very well, on the seashore, not far from the beach about 5 minutes (it's nice and useful to walk), on the other side across the bridge is "Old Nessebar", and not far from "Sunny Beach". We visited everywhere, we went to Sunny Beach by taxi (20 lev), and by bus - 1 lev. Before the "Old Nessebar" walked every day on foot (15-20 minutes), we went there for lunch. We were given a discount from Solvex.
a card with which you could dine in some restaurants in Bulgaria with a 5% discount. I want to immediately advise you to order dishes with caution (see weight), just on the first day we came to the restaurant and each ordered a salad and a second hot dish, and of course dessert. We in Russia are used to the fact that a vegetable salad is two cucumber rings, one tomato ring, and if you're lucky, then an onion ring. When the salad was brought in Bulgaria, we realized that it would not fit hot anymore)))), (the weight of the salad was 450 gr. ), Hot, too, depending on the dish, there were large portions. We tried almost the entire range of seafood from crayfish to lobsters and octopuses, everything is amazingly tasty and not expensive! Also very tasty desserts, ice cream (by the way, the portions are also large). In general, in Bulgaria they cook really delicious food. Service at the hotel is good, very friendly staff, any problem was solved quickly!

Wonderful uncle-seller in the hotel shop! Linen was changed 3 times in 10 days, towels every other day, regardless of the tip. There was always hot water, the room was cleaned every day. As for the beach, it is clean, the sea is clear (I was afraid that it would be like in Gelendzhik, a sandy beach and you can’t enter the sea - the water is always muddy). Sun beds and umbrellas are paid (sunbed 7lev and umbrella 7 lev), we refused the umbrella, we paid only for sun loungers. We wanted to lie on our towels - we were not allowed, they advised us to go forward along the beach for about 2 km, there was a freezone (free zone), where you could stay for free, but the people there were like in an anthill. But we chose, although paid sun loungers, but we don’t have to go far and it’s free in the sea. In the morning they came to the beach and left their towels on a paid sun lounger, until 18.00, as we were assured nothing should have happened to them, because until that time the beach was “guarded”.
Indeed, during our entire vacation, no one lost anything. True, one day after dinner it started to rain, and we sat in the room until the evening, and at 18.30 we went to the beach to get our towels, and on the way to the beach I accidentally saw MY wet towel rolled into a ball (it has an unusual color) in my hands some Bulgarian carrying him off the beach. My husband and his friend ran after him (we rested in a company), but I still decided to run to the sun lounger and make sure I was right, when I ran to the place and made sure that it was really MINE, I ran after the thief and my husband and we took the towel. At first, the Bulgarian assured my husband that it was his, to which the husband suggested that he go to the police, he began to get nervous, and when I ran in and confirmed that the towel was mine, he gave it back. I told the story with the towel so that you, being on vacation, be careful and attentive ..
So we were satisfied with the rest, the only thing that overshadowed our stay in Bulgaria was our flight, or rather the airport in Burgas. It was a nightmare. The airport is small, stuffy (during our time, doctors carried a girl fainting out of the airport building), crush, lack of order and information (people simply cannot understand where and what is and how to get on the plane), as a result, we took off an hour and a half late, waiting for those who could not immediately find their plane.
