We were in Bulgaria 5 times, we always take 2-3 stars, quite enough, there are good hotels in Bulgaria! "Sofia" disappointed us at first sight! Untidy territory, but the hotel is more than one year old! Some rooms are strangely arranged: opposite the wide bed there is a shower door and toilet with translucent glass. . . Elevator, air conditioning worked without problems. Cleaning every day, but so, slightly, neither tiles nor glass shelves were ever washed. The feeling of an unloved offspring: it brings money to the owners, and okay. The floor is tiled, any knock is heard from above, and slippery, and sand. . . The TV is under the ceiling, you can only watch while lying down, which, in general, is convenient for relaxation. The pool is small, the water is muddy and cold: the impression that the hotel was built according to the project of a half-educated student, inexpensive and not tied to reality, intensifies when you look at the pool! It is almost always in the shade, the water does not warm up. Even the children didn’t want to swim in the pool, it’s unpleasant, and the parents didn’t really let them into such a pool. Dangerous railings of stairs and balconies, made modern, but unreliable! Nearby there are hotels of the same category of 3 stars, but fully corresponding to it: "Tropicana", "Black Sea", we visited them to visit friends, the impressions are wonderful! The resort is good, we recommend visiting the museum, you will learn a lot of new things! It is unlikely that the hotel "Sofia" will change for the better, it already brings money. . . Happy holidays!
