The hotel is located in a quiet and peaceful place in the Golden Sands resort, a 10-minute walk from the beach. A street with bars is a 5-7 minute walk away. The hotel is ideal for tourists who want to have a good and inexpensive rest.More →

Bulgarians are generally good people. cleaned normally, did not even notice when, toko on the ashtray looked with thoughts and whether I smoked today or it has already changed. near the hotel the pool is small. the contingent is mostly Germans, British and Russians. It was disgusting to look at the Russians, not all but boors are enough and the intelligentsia does not shine. the Germans, though loud, are innocent. the sea is cool, the water is not particularly crystal clear. there are a lot of cafes and benches, attractions.
prostitutes grab all men without women and pull for shops. I just happened to be like that, I thought it happened, she shook hands and said something in her own way until she said the price (50-80 levs (400 UAH), with the words ai-liu-liu then escaped. a lot of meat and everything on the grill, relatively inexpensive, but the portions are too large, you can safely take one on two, the train goes from one end to the other, the resort itself is not very large, and on the slope down to the sea, back down the hill took a taxi and drove to bourgas in the water park aqua paradise taxi cost us 160 levs (800 UAH) and it's all day.
Golden Sands is an expensive resort, driving to Sunny Beach there is 1.5 times cheaper, and outside the resorts 2-3 times cheaper. many benches with soap, perfume and the like made of roses, they have everything in general made of roses. I did not notice a strong spread of prices.
change money carefully, we have seen the best exchange rate in Varna banks.
One evening I heard a heartbeat from a cafe, and I was upset. Bulgarian girls are not ah-ti, but the figures are nothing, German-fast food grew up, and Russians and Ukrainians are beautiful. In general, I'm happy with everything, I did not cling to the hotel, modestly but comfortably, we ate in cafes, staff and all Bulgarians are very nice people, discos and strip clubs are full, cocktails for 4 leva (20 UAH) bomb! take eurekas with you, there is a safe at the reception. the only downside is the contemplation of the rest of some Russians.

Impressions are ambiguous, there are both pluses and minuses in service, food, living conditions at the hotel and, in general, the Golden Sands resort. When we first arrived at about 10 am, we were told that our room was not ready, they say they only check in at 12:00. We obediently waited 2 hours, leaving things in the staff room. During this time, we managed to go to the sea, going down several stone stairs (not very steep and not so long) to the embankment. What was our disappointment when we saw the edge of the coast and the sea, just teeming with people! I have never seen such a rush at sea. There was no need to talk about a place where you can put your towel, not to mention how to lie comfortably on the sand. The sand was not cleaned very carefully, so you could easily see cigarette butts, plastic bottles, and thrown out deflated circles or mattresses, etc. in it. Later, we discovered the beach of the Riviera Hotel and went only there (there are no waves, the water is cleaner, and most importantly, there are fewer people! ). Along the way, we decided to change money in a yellow exchange kiosk on the embankment (there are no bank branches as such in the resort, at least we did not find them). The euro-leva exchange rate was set at 1 to 1.95 on the scoreboard. We check with the guy in English: if we give 1 euro, then you give us 1.95 leva. He says yes. We give him 50 euros (thank God, not more), but he does not give us the entire amount in leva that we expected. It turns out that somewhere behind the door below, at the level of the legs, there is another scoreboard and there the rate is not 1.95, but 1.57. We say we will not sign this exchange check. Then he signs it himself and, in response to our request for a refund, says that the exchange operation has been completed, and if something does not suit you, “go the same policy! ” (Which, by the way, you won't find there during the day with fire). During the rest, we have seen more than once how a bunch of angry people deceived by these money changers crowded near such stalls. The police arrive, allegedly try to figure it out, listen to the victims, and then shrug their shoulders and say that they cannot do anything and leave (it can be seen that they share the money stolen in this way with the police).
After the financial vicissitudes, we returned at the agreed time to the hotel. We are informed that the room is still not ready, and why did we only think that it would be possible to check in at 12 o'clock? - check-in only after 14:00. In addition, we can’t have lunch either, since lunch ends exactly before 14:00. After our conversation turned to raised tones, we were led to see if our number was ready. It was on the third floor on the sunny side overlooking the pool. The room is very small, dirty, the beds were under the walls with the letter "g". It seemed that there was not enough space for anything else, except for them and small bedside tables. The balcony was very tiny, only one person could fit on it. We say that we did not sign up for this, the bed should be double, etc. We were told that this number was occupied and when it was free, we could move there. We urged to do something and did not agree with such alignments. With a sour face, the administrator finally showed us a relatively normal room (which suddenly turned out to be no longer occupied), on the third floor, on the shady side, with two beds pushed together, a normal balcony, much more comfortable and cleaner. Its only drawback was the bathroom, in which the water from the shower poured directly onto the toilet and the doors, which swelled from this. As for the food in this hotel, it is quite monotonous, a lot of fatty and fried food, such a fast food. But at the same time, vegetables and fruits are given in sufficient quantities. At the bar you can take sweet soda, local alcoholic drinks, coffee from the machine. The rooms were cleaned every day, towels were changed every other day, bed linen - once every 5 days, so we had not a single complaint about cleaning. The pool was also good, medium in size, with adult and children's compartments, clean, in principle, there were enough sun loungers for everyone. There were no noisy companies that interfered with sleep.
It is better to change money in Varna (for 1 euro they gave 1.93 leva), which can be reached by taking the city bus number 409 (the fare is 3 leva); the journey takes approximately 40 minutes. This city has both bazaars and large shopping centers with good prices.
Separately, about taxi drivers - if you decide to take a car, then you don’t need to pay the driver right away, but only when he takes you to a predetermined place, otherwise he won’t listen, write off everything for “translation difficulties”, say that he won’t go to the center , it is a stone's throw from the main shopping center and the like.
Summing up, I concluded for myself that the next time I’m going to Bulgaria, I’ll definitely go not at the height of the season and definitely not to Bluesky, since there are a lot of other more worthy and interesting hotels on the coast, all the more it’s always nice to discover something new ; -)

This, of course, was seriously annoying, as was the lack of reviews on the Internet. But I decided to take a chance : ).
Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised. Very nice hotel, clean, small, cozy and very, very quiet. During our stay, people were not met at all and I thought that the hotel was half empty : ) Russians, Germans, and Bulgarians live, both pensioners and young people.
One of the main advantages I think is the proximity (5 minutes walk) from the Riviera, a closed complex, but the beach is still municipal and anyone can relax there. A very large free zone, unlike Golden Sands, you didn’t have to pay for anything. There were few people, always, no matter what time they came, they found enough free space.
We went to Varna for fruits, because on the way to the beach they are very expensive and tasteless, in general, the same as those bought at home in a stall, only 2 times more expensive. In Varna, at the collective farm market, they bought the juiciest grapes, plums, nuts and watermelons for absolutely ridiculous money.
Yes, the hotel is located at the very beginning of Golden Sands, but it takes 15 minutes to walk to the resort center along the streets with shops and cafes.
What I didn’t like is that it’s very unkempt, of course, Bulgaria is very far from Europe. Untidy greenery, 10 meters from the territory of a 5-star hotel - a garbage dump! What really surprised me was that practically everywhere in cafes and restaurants for visitors there are paid toilets! 0.5-1 lev (10-20 rubles). And even in those where football fans are invited to watch broadcasts of matches and diligently singing beer!
Of the excursions - we went to Istanbul - and this is perhaps the most interesting. The city of 18 million inhabitants, centuries-old history, mosques - everything made a huge impression. The bus was really not very comfortable, but then slept in the hotel.
We took another excursion - to Balchik and Cape Kaliakra. Balchik is again a dirty village, Cape Kaliakra is a very beautiful place.
By the way, the situation with souvenirs in Bulgaria is very funny : ) On the stalls you can find a bunch of everything, even from a country that does not belong to: ) For example, wooden tree frogs, which are brought from Thailand, Dutch shoes, naturally everywhere "Bulgaria" : ). Therefore, they brought rose jam and rose oil : )
Rested very well. True, it is unlikely that we will ever return to Bulgaria...

We are going to Blue Sky for the second time. And you can see where the money went for our first trip. The hotel was reconstructed again - they added a 4th floor with large rooms, attached an elevator, dug out a pool, completed their restaurant, hung air conditioners everywhere...
As many have already noted, this hotel is one of the best in terms of price / quality ratio. The rooms are good. We got a room on the 4th floor, I think they are the best - large and with a large balcony. They seem to be given mainly to those with small children. The staff are friendly, they clean every day, the bed is changed 2 times a week. Towels, if someone does not know, change if thrown on the floor. And then someone tried to give bribes... They probably laughed!
The pool is brand new, there is a small one for children. Sun loungers and umbrellas are no longer free - they ask for 1 euro. This is for those who are too lazy to drag their asses to the sea.
There is an exchanger at reception. The course is the best we've ever seen. But still much lower than in the center of Varna. Therefore, our advice is to go to Varna on an excursion, at the same time change more money. The difference, if you change 500 euros, for example, will be very significant.
You have to go to the beach on the Riviera, walk about 7 minutes and there are not as many people as everywhere else. For everything they take money and a lot, an elite club, after all. But there are also places without any payment, we buy our own umbrella and an air mattress for 7 euros each and we have an elite club for ourselves!
About the restaurant. He is. Apparently, to give 3 stars. Breakfast is normal, you can eat to satiety and not think until the evening. Food will do - pastries, eggs, sausages, sausage, cheese and cheese, fruits, vegetables, yogurt. Eat - you will be glad, oversleep - you will not regret much. As for lunches and dinners, you need to look elsewhere. In Blue Sky, everything is expensive and cheerful. Attributing this to the shortcomings does not turn the tongue - in the Golden probably restaurants and cafes for 100. Of those that are nearby, I especially liked Gerana and Krivata Lipa. The food is excellent, the portions are huge, and for only 5-10 euros per nose.
About the so-called Please do not worry about “animation” - it simply simply does not exist. And for me, it doesn't need to be. The fact is that Golden Sands is a COMPLEX. You are everywhere and always in the thick of things. . . Not to be confused with Turkish reservations. Entertainment sea for every taste and color. And entertaining me in a hotel is nonsense. In the same "Geran" every evening, folklore dances are just super!
We also liked that there is a grocery store nearby, where prices are almost the same as in Varna. And the bus stop to Varna in 3-5 minutes. walk. The price of a ticket to Varna is 2 euros, a taxi is about 10.
In short, go - you won't regret it. We bought the tour for 30 tr. for two, so the place is worth the money. I think appreciate. . .

I go sunbathing only in the morning and in the evening, the child is not a fan of sunbathing at all, I swam, dried up and walked. It makes no sense to take a sunbed and an umbrella. What to do in this case?
